### "7 Shifts for restaurant schedule Management "

My managers and employees love it.

Pros

It is easy to use and anybody with a phone can have easy access to their schedule, send messages using it, and letting anybody know about changes. It is a very practical and professional tool for the schedules that we use in our Restaurant. We have the scheduling available on our P/R processor, but we prefer to pay for this service as it is more agile and practical than our P/R company.

Cons

To be honest, I do not have any complaints, but we only use the scheduling module as we have other systems.

All in all, I can say that seven shifts is probably one of the most reliable sources of timekeeping money management when it comes to businesses and they’re very affordable

Pros

The efficiency when it comes to clocking someone’s hours is very reliable. It seems as if this company has mastered the art of getting hours in accurate calculations for payment down to a Science.

Cons

One of the only downsides 27 is that the app sometimes crashes and it’s hard to understand which amount of hours are being calculated and then with American companies they use it. The Canadian time difference is a lot.

Working in restaurant is the only experience I’ve had with this app. It worked well enough to get the job done.

Pros

Easy to swap shifts, easy to keep record of shifts and swaps as well as floating shifts for pickup when available.

Cons

A lot of clutter, but generally works well. Wish there was a better shift swapping system for multiple shifts.

### "Great app, easy to use!"

Pros

I liked how it was very easy for associates to submit shift swap requests and for managers to approve them. Same with RTO requests, very easy to use. Additionally, I liked how managers could post announcements and there was also a direct message feature.

Cons

I really can't think of anything I disliked about 7Shifts. I think the app is very user friendly and easy to use!

7shifts did make reviewing and trading shifts fairly easy for myself and others. While we did not use to platform for much other than shift information, it was very helpful in the aspects in which I used it.

Pros

I liked that 7shifts made it very easy for myself and fellow employees to review and even share shifts.

Cons

There were times that the information was not up to date regarding shift availability that led to some shifts getting mixed up.

Decent experience, but I'm starting to waiver if I will continue to use it.

Pros

Easy to use, easy for employees to use. It's mobile and I can access it from anywhere, as can our employees

Cons

Lack of sync with Revel POS which makes me hesitant to continue to use it.

I wish all companies had a team like 7 Shifts! Such a joy to work with. They love their job and are not just a sales department. Their support and development teams are just as good as their front line sales because they can really believe in their product and deliver what they are promising. First class!

Pros

We can maximize profit by scheduling exactly where needed with forecasting We can create a schedule in minutes verses an hour We can eliminate scheduling employees on requested days off or outside of their availability Employees can update availability, time off without bothering management Employees find a replacement for their shift after schedule is posted instead of bothering management Managers can monitor labor in real time on phone app dashboard report We use the 'engage' report as a positive way to eliminate attendance issues (late, no show, sick, change schedule, etc) Employees can access by phone or computer Employees can provide immediate shift feedback at end of shift Managers can distribute hours and tasks evenly and monitor Managers love the communication notification. One memo can be distributed to all or certain department to inform of last minute specials or even announce an employees birthday

Cons

To be honest, my list has dwindled of items I like least because everytime I bring a negative aspect to customer support, the development team calls and gathers information, then they begin programming and redesigning to improve their product for everyone. My only issue is waiting for them to make the awesome labor dashboard available for lower levels so managers can use it to train team leads without programming them to be in the 'management' category just to get the actual real time labor on their phone.

Reason for choosing 7shifts

The innovative team thinks very progressively with amazing customer service and wanted to hear what we needed and didn't like in a scheduling program. The continue to seek input and encourage us to make product suggestions which we see get developed and benefit all users.

### "Still learning the ropes, but seems decent"

Pros

We're interested in this app for the optimal labor scheduling feature. Unfortunately, we haven't yet used it long enough for this feature to work for us. Being able to manually add projected sales to the schedule to see the estimated labor % as you prepare the schedule is helpful. The reports seem easy to read. The helpdesk has been responsive so far.

Cons

The cost of the second highest tier plan is the same as the highest tier plan on our previous software. I don't know if this is a good value yet since we haven't been using it long enough to access all the features we need. I'm hoping the longer we use it, the better it will get. So far, myself and my team are still struggling to understand and find everything we need.

### "Good bang for your buck"

Having used several different scheduling softwares in the past, 7Shifts is by far my favorite. It's easy to use, has a really wonderful app, and is constantly adding new features, all at a really affordable price. The support team is always available and can answer any questions.

Pros

7Shifts is intuitive and sleek. Compared to other software we've used in the past, both the webpage and app provide quick syncing with our POS and offer a wide variety of features- from logbook notes, customizable and scheduled tasks lists, and shift swapping abilities.

Cons

We would love to see even more customizable options, especially with the new tasks list feature (such as temp range options/recall ability, reminder emails, etc).

Overall 7Shifts has helped us keep down labor costs, communicate with ease, schedule based on business needs, and streamline our payroll. I can't say enough about it and I rave about it to all my friends in every industry.

Pros

I personally love this scheduling software over the others I've used in the past. The mobile access gives our employees control of their own schedules and ease of seeing where they need to be. The scheduler is so easy to use and even easier if you set up templates. Tracking labor costs vs our sales has helped in so many ways to keep our costs down. The logbook has become one of the most used features among our managers. And the timesheets being able to integrate with our payroll software has made payday just a few clicks away.

Cons

It really is the easiest software. Almost dummy-proof. There's not much bad I can even say about it. I've used quite a few of the competitors. This one is far superior.

7punches is high powered, low cost product that was very easy to launch company wide.

Pros

7shifts has a great entry level price point for small organizations and companies. It is accessible, durable and transparent. It instills team confidence with employees when they can track their timesheets in real time and communicate quickly with management and colleagues through the application negating the need to maintain posted call sheets or add contacts to personal mobile devices.

Cons

7shifts cannot lock or protect a current schedule once its posted. You must use great caution when editing schedules online or on a mobile device that you are actually editing the correct day and date. If your scheduling manager is distracted during the edit process for a future week it is possible to mistakenly edit (and publish) a current week. Additionally, it would be helpful for the software to utilize a biometric reader in 7punches thereby eliminated the 4 digit code requirement.

Improved scheduling contact as we don't have to wait to speak with employees, the ability for better employee long-term planning for scheduling and the ability to connect all managers and see progress for scheduling in real time.

I am generally happy with it, and once I'm in a rhythm it's efficient and effective.

Pros

The ability to create open shifts, schedule templates, easily maneuver shifts and see requested days off, availability desires and schedule events all make a for a robust scheduling too.

Cons

Needs previous of the 2 days surrounding the work week to ensure better scheduling, clearer availability systems or the ability of a manager to input availability based on conversations they had, and it needs more robust event scheduling options that can be tied to open shifts that need to be filled
