Overall, support staff is great and I enjoy the ease of navigation throughout the system.

Pros

I like how easy it is to find the information needed when trying to find employee hours and information.

Cons

I did find it a little frustrating when we were trying to get our integrations back online. It took almost a month to get all of it sorted and updated.

This software previously helped us save time and implement clear communication. It now is unusable and has little to no benefit.

Pros

7Shifts has a clean website that is easy to use when it is up. The best thing about the software was how it worked before they updated the system to be unusable and increased their prices by almost 600%.

Cons

7Shifts' new tools are not thoughtful and don't work with other systems. They have overhauled their system and the new system consistently has issues that make the website and apps unusable. Additionally, the regular system crashes come as 7shifts went from a very reasonable a month depending on the size of your business, to $57 for what we were paying a month for previously. Poor support along with a "Sorry! You are SOL" way of doing business makes 7Shifts a must avoid. Every update from 7Shifts has also included problem after problem. While the system to sign up for their service never goes down, the apps and website are now regularly unusable.

Very happy with the appearance and functionality of this system. Makes scheduling easy and enjoyable.

Pros

It's easy to use for scheduling purchases. We love the different roles and breakdown between each department.

Cons

Sometimes staff complain they are not receiving messages or notifications right away, even if they are set up correctly for email and push notifications. Not sure if this is just a user error... we have to send them "password reset" to basically refresh their accounts. Has happened multiple times, but not all the time.

Reason for choosing 7shifts

Seemed like the best value at the time, and we really liked the layout.

### "Great app"

Over all we like the features as we sync data with Toast POS. Can't justify the cost difference for the next tier up. But we love what currently use the product for.

Pros

We love the scheduling feature of the app. We also like that we can send texts directly to staff from the app. Allows for accountability. Staff can give up and pick up shifts with appropriate approvals.

Cons

The payroll reporting could be improved. Found that when we tested, it didn't match our POS numbers. Also, the app on the phone needs to be improved for work flow. Sometimes you have to do an extensive search to get the proper functionality from the phone.

### "Keeps our staff communicating "

Pros

I enjoy how I can schedule staff with ease and even duplicate previous schedules, only sending to those who have changed. Shift pool option is super efficient and allows for staff to cover each other's shifts easily. Messaging option allows us all to stay in touch and there's even a broadcasting space for announcements.

Cons

Sometimes the hours entered vs wage doesn't come to an accurate result otherwise it's great.

Pros

The ability to manage shifts with all the staff vs old way of calling and texting people ... it was a game changer.

Cons

Would like better tools around managing overtime alerts, labor rate alerts, etc to ensure management is cutting as needed. It would be nice to have better ways to download into quickbooks as well and even tax forms, i9 stuff to automate.

Watching our sales correspond with the labour reports from 7Shifts has been a game changer. The mobile app makes it so easy to see as an owner where you need your staffing levels to be each day, but it also records history so you can go back and see what your sales and labour with even a weather report from a year ago that day. Also the 7Punch system has made it real easy for our staff to clock in and out. Keeps it simple and easy to use.

Pros

The integration of 7Shifts labour reports to our POS TouchBistro sales reports has been the perfect marriage. The interface of 7Shifts software has been easy to understand and use with admin, managers and staff levels.

Cons

Not much to say here because when moving over from another employee staffing company you quickly see the difference and benefits that 7Shifts has to offer you.

The ease of scheduling is awesome- weather, budget etc is all there so you do not have to have multiple screens open.

Pros

It's simplicity. Easy for employees to put up shifts for grabs, easy to assign, easy to message employees and keep everything in one place.

Cons

The event page could use better navigating tools- ie. a drop down menu for searching past or future dates. We book a lot of weddings and christmas parties 6 months to 1 year in advance and would be nice not have to click through all the months to get to desired date.

Pros

I like that it does the equations for me. That it uses in real time data to help with when to have my staff come in.

Cons

I have not ran into problems yet. This is a very convenient app.

Pros

This app is a must for any business. We use it daily for scheduling, time clocking, and when it comes to payroll. It also allows us to keep track of requested time off for employees. The app is very easy to use and makes quick work of any task.

Cons

The only problem I have with the app is the inability to alter time punches for my employees. I have to open a web browser to do that, it would be convenient if I could use the app for that as well.

Easy to use, I do not have to explain much to new employees.Many people has experience with it.

Cons

SO these days there are many who work more than 1 job and even if these 2-3 different jobs uses 7shifts we all need to log in and log out for each account.If you make the software capable to connect different businesses with one log in, it will be super usuful for all of us.

Support is great, R&D is great, functionality is great

Pros

7 Shifts is the best in scheduling. The UX beats the rest, it's affordable, the staff love it, you can edit and publish shifts real time, and the team is on the leading edge of all things restaurant labor. My personal favorite is that they are trying to tackle the automated tip distribution process. Every restaurant does this very differently and it is extremely important to get right. They are making great strides to create a flexible and comprehensive solution.

Cons

I haven't found anything I don't like yet.

Overall experience was very useful and time saving. The staff found it easy to communicate with others, and also to trade out or cover each other’s shifts. We will continue to use 7 shifts in the future.

Pros

The ease of scheduling with the interface gave me an excellent overview. Adding new employees and getting them connected and receiving updates was extremely user friendly

Cons

Their really isn’t a whole lot negative to say based on how 7 shifts was used in our restaurant. I will say the weather feature wasn’t very accurate at all.

This was a great way to get our employees on the same page and communicate out all the information we needed to in a simple fashion.

Pros

I like the easy to use interface. As an administrator, the events section works really well. We don't do a lot of reservations as a casual environment, so it works well for parties and alerting the staff of events in the area.

Cons

The messaging can be a little confusing, but not really a fault. The predictive scheduler doesn't work very well for me.

Love it and the support is great.

Pros

I love the communication it offers. We are open 7 days a week and 3 shifts, so we can't always see our staff in person for meetings. This helps us get messages to them in a form they use, on their phones.

Cons

It would be amazing if the software could alert us to those who do not respond. Maybe a weekly report of who missed what messages. Simple excel. Also fun would be ratings for their participation. Maybe the fastest, or the people who hit 100% on all messages. We can then do rewards for them.

Pros

7shifts and 7tasks offers many great tools to better manage employees. My favorite features are, the free app for employees, the simplistic UI, and the well organized statistics.

Cons

Issues with passwords being randomly denied, the app has gone down in the past (not recently), and some API’s don’t work as well as they could.
