Overall, the experience has been incredibly positive! All my FOH staff uses it and enjoys it because it is so user friendly and allows them to communicate with me and fellow colleagues with incredible ease!

Pros

I find it to be the most user friendly way to communicate with a variety of employees and make updates in real time. It is effortless and employees are immediately responsive and have implemented using this platform with ease. I am so delighted at how well it has been integrated to our entire organization!

Cons

I genuinely can't think of a single aspect that I don't like or appreciate about the platform. I was worried about everyone implementing it but every employee did so with incredible ease!

### "Easy to Use scheduling App"

On a scale of 1-10 about an 8 not a system that is hard to use. Easy to train people and communicate information

Pros

Easy to schedule communicate with employees. Setting up a new employee is very easy as is work area and job .

Cons

Pricing has increased support is less than it has been in prior years. And it has been down frequently

### "Steer clear"

We signed up for 7shifts to manage hospitality rosters but stopped using it months ago. When our old manager left, the subscription kept running unnoticed — and despite not using the product at all, they refused to refund nearly $500 that was auto-charged. Their support response was robotic and dismissive, simply quoting “non-refundable Terms of Service” without any attempt to help or escalate. There’s no transparency, no empathy, and no practical way to get billing issues resolved. To make matters worse, the platform keeps stored credit card details on file even after cancellation unless you explicitly demand they be deleted. For anyone considering this software: be very careful. The billing model feels designed to trap you into recurring charges, and the “support” team seems more interested in hiding behind policy than supporting customers. Save yourself the time and frustration — there are far better, more ethical scheduling tools out there.

Pros

We found the app to be difficult to use and so stopped using after 1 year. They kept billing us even after we cancelled.

Cons

The customer support is appalling. We tried again this year to cancel but they quoted their customer agreement and refused to discuss. It’s all AI robots.

This is great scheduling software for someone who works in the hospitality industry. Great for communication and payroll.

Cons

Took a bit of time to get used to the drag and drop options, but once that was figured out it was very easy to curate a schedule.

### "Easy to use! "

Staff appreciated the convenience and simplicity of the app. The different price points was also helpful to the owners.

Pros

How user friendly it is! Staff can quickly log in and access their schedule, request time off and blocked off dates.

Cons

I really didn't have any cons about using 7Shifts. My restaurant used it mostly for scheduling only.

### "Great Scheduling Platform"

Love it. I can easily distribute and receive my schedule through the platform and it makes it very easy to communicate with the team!

Pros

Love how easy it is to schedule folks and make adjustments on the fly. Also love how you can communicate with the entire team through it! Its like a group chat meets hr software.

Cons

Feels very basic. It does everything you would want for this to do but nothing more nothing less. Its great for part time work or internships!

7shifts makes it really easy to manage schedules, time off request, manage labor hours and easily allows you to communicate with all teams.

Cons

I didn't have any issues using 7shifts, sometimes that mobile application wouldn't load but was easily and quickly fixed. I assume it was due to updates.

### "A No-Fuss Workplace App For All"

Overall 7Shifts is accurate, easy to use, and has an appealing interface. It has minor hiccups, but were easy to overcome.

Pros

A straight forward, and no-fuss workplace app. Let me schedule my staff and set specific notes for special days.

Cons

The app has a habit of logging everyone out, or the servers crashing in general. It would make it difficult or impossible to clock in sometimes.

It was easy to organize and see where and when my shifts were while maintaining a decent speed when being able to clock in and out for work.

Cons

It was a bit difficult to get 7shifts to be accurate sometimes since the location can sometimes be thrown off, and internet sometimes plays a role but it otherwise is janky.

Amazing tool for small businesses. I used this while working as a server in the restaurant industry and was the primary tool for week to week scheduling.

Pros

Allowed for ease of viewing weekly schedules as well as posting and updated time out as well as needs when shifts were needed to be picked up by other workers. Also integrated with iCalendar

Cons

Sometimes felt a bit clunky and as if internal messaging was difficult to use

Overall, I am happy with 7Shifts. Integrated with our pos and all of our employees are happy with it.

Pros

Simplicity of use, and many features for communication across multiplications.

Cons

I wish 7Shifts had an internal translated where groups can easily communicate back and forth between English and Spanish without having to copy paste to an external translator. Simply, a ‘see translation’ button would be amazing as many restaurants have language barrier holding back employees from understanding announcements and SoP’s.

Overall has been good, easier to use compared to similar platforms, the interface is very natural. It's very affordable, for its basic uses.

Pros

Love that it integrates with TOAST POS. We use schedule enforcement and sales and labor forecasting on the budget tool. It's easy to use and the app for employees is straightforward. The functions are basic but important without any fluff...Nothing is hard to find.

Cons

Customer service has really gone downhill in the last 5 years. Also they have only 2 management tiers (manager and assistant manager) and "managers" can't modify other mangers, so you have to have admins in each location and reach out to support to add and remove admins. I have suggested to them they should create a super admin position, but no avail.

Cons

I found it hard to easily navigate an individual's schedule as an employer. Would have been nice to just be able to click on an individual and see their hours worked.

Works as effectively as it did before with a cleaner interface and additional features to help ensure more accountability and consistency on employee and management end in regards to shifts/schedules/times.

Pros

7shifts still remains a really simple and easy tool to manage schedules, clock ins/outs, and overall tool for tracking employees and for employees tracking schedules. I really like the new improvements with the scheduled were it is clearly text/colours to see who is working when. The change where you can also see you scheduled and upcoming shifts while clocking in is also a bonus feature. There seem to have been improvements with glitches too, where there is less freezing or errors occurring compared to before.

Cons

No dislikes noted over the 2025 year as upgrades have improved tech issues and errors, and have improved overall efficiency and functionality.
