Pros I currently use this software and its amazing! It's not only super easy to use and maneuver but I can also alert the other managers when I have events happening. Cons I think that the over all look of the website could look more updated, other than that nothing really from a user stand point. Everything you need is all in one place, which makes it even faster to exchange or pick up shifts, check your schedule, and messaging coworkers. The app is simple and effective- definitely the best scheduling software i've used to date! The apps simplicity makes it hard to make mistakes, and if you do, actions can be undone quickly. I love that each position can be colour coded, and that your time sheets are right in the same app! Cons There isn't anything I can think of for cons! November 5, 2020 5.0 Pros I really enjoy the scheduling features where i can get a notification an hour ahead of when my shift starts, shifts that available to grab, and to see which of my coworkers are working the same shift as me. Super easy to use and i used on a daily basis. Cons Has a hard time saving login information so i end up logging in every couple of days. The labor forecasting tool allows us to properly plan our labor budget. Messaging tools allow me to tell the staff about specials, ask for coverage, or alert them to new policies with ease. Everything is connected to your computer and to your phone as you wish. We have also seen a major decrease in the time it takes to complete a schedule. The 7shifts team has been amazing to hear suggestions or provide support. Pros How easy it is to make a schedule, features like weather and labor tracking are great. The manager log is very useful for our teams to communicate. Everything is laid out very simply and we had no problems learning how to use it. It makes it easy for everyone to different other's schedules, time off requests, etc. Cons I don't have anything I don't like about the software. After piloting 5 different programs I settled in with them due to the fluidity of their software and app. Pros The efficiency, flexibility and accessibility it gives team members. It allows me to keep their schedules straight and make weekly shifts available from the comfort of my home or office at work. Cons I wish there was a way to easily refect on a team members previous shifts inside the current work week. I currently have to have previous print outs available to ensure I don't put a particular employee on 3 consecutive weekends while another might only be closing once every week. Some sort of feature like this would just help keep team members happy and feel fairly treated with the scheduling. Review Source AL Angela L. He listens and understands issues with scheduling since that is what he's done previously. 7Shifts isn't perfect but I can live with its short comings just because of their support. It is a key part of our operations and allows us to stay on track and communicate effectively. Pros The ease of creating, publishing and tracking shifts and payroll is important to a small business. 7shifts allows us to easily stay on top of our staffing, communicate effectively with our team and monitor our payroll spend. Cons I havent been able to automatically insert a meal break in a shift instead schedule, for example, 9am - 12pm, and then 12:30pm to 5pm. It would be nice to schedule a 8 hour shift with a meal break instead of having to enter multiple shifts for one day. November 5, 2020 3.0 Overall good, but could use a lot of bug-fixing and a few redesigns to make it great. Pros I like the ability to see who works on any given day, the manager log for recording daily happenings, and having a directory of all staff’s phone numbers and emails. Cons I dislike the way your shifts are shown on the main page. Instead of a calendar that goes week-by-week, it’s just a scrolling list. Also, the wage predictions are hit or miss. Owner Sporting Goods Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Not just for restaurants" October 5, 2016 5.0 I have been using 7shifts for my retail store for over a year and have been very happy with it. It makes developing schedules and managing that process very easy. Staff and able to stay up to date and communicate availability easily. Much better than Excel and email! What is lacking for me is a better way to track vacation and availability. 7shifts recognizes the difference but for salaried staff just because they are not available for a week doesn't mean they used seven vacation days. Having said that the 7shifts team has been very responsive to feedback and I'm sure they are working on a solution -- right guys!? Thanks for a great product.
