It provides a convenient way to manage digital content and advertising across multiple screens from one platform. Once you get past the initial learning curve, the system is fairly easy to use and offers good flexibility for managing and updating content. There are occasional issues, but overall it has been a useful solution for our digital signage needs. Pros I like how easy Mvix makes it to create, manage, and update digital signage content across multiple screens. The platform is fairly user-friendly, offers good customization options, and makes managing advertising and screen content much more efficient. It also provides a centralized way to manage displays without having to update each screen individually. Cons There is a bit of a learning curve when first getting familiar with the platform and setting up screens and content. Some features can feel more complicated than necessary, and occasional bugs or glitches can require troubleshooting. Overall, though, once you learn the system, it becomes much easier to manage. The software is easy to use and the MVIX team if very friendly. Pros What I enjoyed most about MVIX is that you could watch Demo videos that could help you with set up, content creation, or any other question you may have. Further, I really liked how user friendly MVIX was. Cons I did not like that you had to pay a big up front cost to use MVIX. Since you pay for the player on a OTC basis and not a subscription, you pay a big up front cost and could potentially have issues later on. We work out of a home office, so it is a 45 minute drive to town for us. This helped save us so much time. The content manager is online based so it was nice to be able to adjust our screens from anywhere as well and it was super easy to use! Cons There were a lot of issues with the controller disconnecting from our WiFi, leaving it with a black screen. Customer service was a little tricky to work with sometimes, and these devices were really difficult to initially set up. After only two years, one of our controllers completely broke as well. Pros With some work, I was able to get my visualizations on to my display. Some of the media types were unique at the time. They were the leaders in this space for quite some time. Cons When they made my player obsolete and required me to purchase a new one that could only display 1080p content although my first player could do 4k. No one decided to tell me this at time of purchase and I was left with a $800 brick. Also trying to use Microsoft DI was very costly over $100 per month just for that feature. It's really a shame because they used to be good. Pros Used to be a reliable digital signage option with a decent web interface at a very reasonable cost. Cons After a major site upgrade, our whole experience with MVIX went down the drain. First, they broke the vast majority of our signs when they did the upgrade. Then, the tech assigned to us wasted hours upon hours of our time connecting up signs that they couldn't upgrade. Every time I put in a ticket, a tech picks out a few keywords, and responds to what those keywords imply the ticket might say. They have pushed out updates that have broken our signs, the new site isn't responsive (meaning you need to have a very specific screen size in order to use it), the preview functionality doesn't work, the schedule interface is incredibly clunky and doesn't work a good portion of the time, and the new WYSIWYG templates they put out are the sort of thing you'd apologize for how buggy they are in an early alpha, but it's their final product.
