Pros: it's really convenient. we don't have to exchange numbers of parents in order to communicate. It also has the roster and the schedule that we can just look back on whenever we need it.

Cons: the advertisements that are displayed. I don't recall ever seeing an ad on an App like this before. but that's really just such a small thing and easily ignored

Pros: Decent feature set, great value. Everyone seems to be able to use it easy enough. You can add all the event dates to your calendar with a click of a button. There is a group chat.

Cons: I can't really come up with any major cons honestly. I've never had to use their customer support so I cannot attest to that.

Overall: Easily communicate with your team

Pros: In using it for my daughter's soccer team, we're able to add the score, pictures from the game, and other notes while the action is going on. However, no one does this.

Cons: It feels redundant given the fact that a group text message would notify all involved the same exact way that this application does.

Great app, way over priced.

Cons: Very few downsides when looking at this app from the basis it is an informational tool for team members

Overall: Love the ability to set availability and message in parents in various formats about practice & game schedules. Sends out notifications on upcoming events.

Pros: This is a most have for any hockey team captain. You know who will be attending the game and can fill lines and chat with the whole team.

Cons: I would say almost flawless. Does take a little longer to load then I would expect but in general. the app is quicker though. Notification settings are too broad. It would be nice to choose what can notify me.

Overall: Must Have!!! Beast ICE

Pros: TeamSnap is easy to use. The notifications are great, and the scheduling features are awesome. It makes it so much easier if something needs to be rescheduled to instantly communicate it to the whole team. I also like that it shows the location of the event/game and you can click on it and it will take you right into google maps.

Cons: It can be rather costly. There are some other free options out there but nothing I have found that integrates all of the great features TeamSnap does.

Pros: I used Teamsnap to manage a Men's adult softball team for over 7 years -Players or manager can track player "availability" easily through the app. The player can mark which games they may miss due to vacation, etc. This is useful for tracking how many subs I may need for a given week. -The ability to track statistics -Easy to use mobile app -The ability to send/track messages to team

Cons: There are a few things they can work on: -Stats were great, but were not available on the mobile platform. This was an issue because the majority of the team only used the mobile -I wanted to lock down 'availability' an hour leading up to the game, otherwise someone could mark themselves out the last minute without me knowing, but this feature was not offered. -The top stats feature is cool - it allowed you to show the season leaders for stats. But they did not allow you to set a threshold for minimum games - i.e. a qualified player. So a player who went 2-2 in a single game and didn't play another game all season would lead the team in batting average. -One time I sent out a note to the team to have them mark their availability for the game that week and Teamsnap decided at the same time to do unannounced maintenance on the site, so no one could login -I was on an annual billing plan, but stopped managing the team half way into the year. There was no refund even though I stopped using the site for 6 months.

We use this to manage our traveling soccer team.

Pros: This software is extremely user friendly, helps manage and coordinate with my players and parents all in one app.

Cons: This software gives you the opportunity to manage multiple teams but the ability to see all teams at one time is an additional cost to the base.

Overall: The cost of this product is great for the amount of information you can quickly manage your team.

It is useful. By like most 1st to market products, it relies on precedent and not improvement.

Pros: Functionally it does the basics of what one would want in a product of this nature. Schedules and rosters are relatively easy to import. You can track availability.

Cons: The performance of the app, especially on a browser is unbelievably poor. Remember when you used to time fetching a new cup of coffee to certain computer tasks- well that's TeamSnap. Having used the product for years, I can say that performance has continuously degraded. They clearly have developed an application that has difficulty scaling - and they will not admit it.

Too many functionality holes to describe in 1500 characters. Why have a location editor that is not linked to Google Maps or some other namespace. The fact that I have to enter a specific address for a well known location seems absurd. There is no consolidated calendar. Almost everyone I know who uses TS has multiple teams they are tracking - but no means to view a consolidated calendar (except subscribing to each one individually and using your own calendar app. The Assignments feature is designed by a simpleton - there is no way to make multi-event assignments. There are issues in rendering of messages well. You think you are typing into a WYSIWYG editor, and then once you see the message you realize it was a WTHETWTP editor.

Finally, don't report any of these problems. Because al their customer support does is ask stupid questions about what browser you are on, and suggest that the problem lies somewhere else. And then they quickly close out the tickets as "SOLVED" so they look good to their management who are in so far over their heads.

Overall: tracks player availability

Sorry to hear that, Steve. We did change the app a while back so that it takes a little longer to load up front but should be snappy once you get past that. We will pass all this feedback along to the product folks.

Comments: Players/Parents can share pictures and messages back and forth freely, they just cannot edit Event information.

Pros: TeamSnap is a lifesaver if you coach or manage multiple teams. It allows you to post schedules with times and location (locations link to Google maps - so no-one can go to the wrong field). You can check player status to see who is going to, not going to, or undecided for games, events, and practices. It is an easy way to keep the team updated. Seperate tab for seperate teams helps to keep the times and data straight.

Cons: Cost. TeamSnap is the same cost for each team you manage/coach. Since I coach multiple times I buy a license for each team. It would be good to get a multi team discount.

Pros: Managing practice and games. It keeps it all in one spot, so it's good for members. Fairly easy to use.

Cons: The accounting feature from a Manager perspective is not great. It only works if everything is perfect, which it never is. If someone overpays and therefore has extra money in the system, you can't easily apply those funds to future fees/payments. All they need to do is add ability to "apply" money in an individuals Team bank towards a new fee.

Pros: Great way for team managers, coaches, parents and players to communicate. I love the tracking option on here. It is great for collecting tournament papers and making sure you have everything. The roster functionality allows you to include pictures, videos, and stats. The chat feature lets all our parents talk and ask questions in one place. It is a lifesaver. We can also live score games and it sends reminders for me, saving a lot of time. they are always working to improve it and add more features. I wish I would've known about it years ago.

Overall: Everything in one place - it streamlines communication, organization, and scheduling.

Pros: The ease of adding participants from a roster to a class or event is extremely easy. I love that Participants can see what teammates are also signed up!

Cons: I dislike the most that everyone there is a class added or changed emails go through to the team; it has been a source of complaints from users.

Pros: Easy to use, does what most clubs need and saves significant time for both coaches and parents. My club have 40+ football (soccer) teams, which overs over 500+ players and teamsnap manages everything from registration, team and club communications, games and training and availability... and more. Great customer support also :)

Cons: No real cons... having the cloud version and app version make it easy to use and new features are continually rolling out... over the last two years of using this it has got better and better

Pros: TeamSnap is easy to set up and use. It makes it easy to communicate with parents on your team via email or text. You can schedule games, check attendance, track payments, post team photos, and email the entire roster from your email account.

Cons: Cost. Free version is very 'stripped'. Paid version is excellent, but you have to pay per team, and there is no discount for subsequent years, multiple years or additional teams. Cannot roster on and off players for different seasons/tournaments.

Overall: TeamSnap made it easy to manage a team roster, inform the team of the game schedule, check attendance and communicate with the team.

Comments: I've been using TeamSnap for a variety of teams for more than five years.

As a league registrar for Little League and Youth Soccer, team manager and coach in those sports plus youth basketball High School Golf and Soccer teams I've used lots of league management software solutions.

I've used CountMeIn, ngin, Korrio, League Athletics, Sports Affinity, Bonzi plus a few more. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. Those which register easily, don't always schedule or communicate well. Team assignment isn't always a strength. Others have a great template language. None do it all well.

The bottom line is that I choose TeamSnap because it single-handedly makes me more efficient when scheduling games and practices, but most importantly when it makes communicating to players, coaches and parents easy. The functions most important once teams have been formed.

Even though I must use the league's or association's required site to register, I still choose to purchase services from TeamSnap to manage my event and game schedules and team communications because it does it so much better than anyone else.

TeamSnap constantly works to add new features and improve existing ones.

I am about to test their league/association site that will allow multiple teams/sports under the same umbrella.

Comments: Nice and easy for a team parent but horrible to try to figure out changes etc for a parent. A heading says "changes to your repeating event", but then the message is only for a single practice day added in on one particular day. That would be an add on, not a change.. Needs a lot of humanization. We've missed several practices because we did not understand the email from the header, then had to dig through the email thru the little itty bitty text. Is that supposed to be easier than a email reminder from a coach with a reminder in the header? No way... I am a coach and I will not use this service until the header can be customized. No parent wants to dig through every email EVERY practice... Yuck! Too many kids, sports and no time to deal with this.. Good luck
