" December 6, 2025 3.0 I have been using TeamSnap for about 4 months for my daughter's cheerleading squad and it has been very helpful for navigating scheduling and communication with the team as well as with the coach and parents. Pros I think that team snap is a good app for coach and parent communication,team management, and scheduling is a breeze with it as well. Pros I like that we can have all team information in one spot. We can easily communicate all information to everyone all at once and update in real time. Cons I wish I would get notified if someone says they will not be at an event or practice instead having to look in the app. Sometimes if were starting practice or a game I cant open the app to look at these things. If I got a push notifcation on my screen it would be easier. Pros The available categories give great clarity to specifics around events that a group text message or email cannot capture. Cons The team jersey color can only be seen once each individual event is clicked on. Having things like Jersey, home/away or opponent as an option to include in the summary would be helpful. No more parents asking for an email with addresses for locations or times for events. Pros Ease of use for scheduling practices and games. Checking attendance is great, but too easy for players to forget to mark their status. Love the email and message feature that keeps record of what is sent out and to whom. Cons I use this primarily for my daughter's travel softball team as the administrator, but need to use a separate app for scoring the games. I wish TeamSnap would integrate a score keeping feature for softball/baseball. Pros Made it super easy to check when I have a hockey practice or game and also made this easier for my entire family No bugs that I have stumbled across Very easy to use for anyone, regardless of experience with apps of this type Cons Sometimes very laggy to use and slow, but could be a problem on my end. On rare occasions, the servers are down. I have only experienced this once in my time using it, but it was frustrating that one time. Pros Very little anymore. Once I switched from an individual team account to business, almost everything I liked became worse. Cons The rostering, clunky chat feature, mis-information when switching from the individual team account to a business account, lack of timely customer support (1-5 days later they respond and not with a call but usually with links to their website or a generic answer). Pros Ease of use. Adding events, changing details and functionality when or when not to notify others of the change. Reminder features are also helpful. The tracking functionality is also helpful. League Comissioner Sports Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Very Complicated" August 27, 2019 3.0 Pros This software seems to have most/all of the bells and whistles, but it's very complicated to use. If you're running a big organization or league, then it probably makes sense, but if you're just a team it's definitely overkill. We use about 10% of the features. Cons Customer support is mediocre. The help files seem to frequently be related to a previous version of the product or for some other reason I'm frequently unable to make it do what the help files say it should. Really the software is just WAY to complicated to use, I think given all the features if they did some usability design, they could make a really wonderful product, but the current interface is very confusing and unless you use it all day every day, you'll find every time you use it to be frustrating. Also, its very expensive. I looked at, but didn't trial, other products, but ended up staying with TeamSnap which was what my predecessor had selected because of inertia. I wanted to change, but didn't feel like doing the work of convincing the coaches and board members to switch and then doing the work of switching and educating the players and coaches who already had TeamSnap. Reason for choosing TeamSnap I didn't choose it, I inherited it. I would have selected a simpler, less expensive product with a more intuitive user interface. We found it pretty straightforward being able to upload schedules, enter them manually, or perform other day to day operations. It also looks a lot better than me just writing it and posting a picture, and parents see it as a professional tool and definitely feel they are getting their money's worth. Cons It could be a little more user friendly in certain areas. When having to add some events manually, it would take me a very, very long time to get all of my information in. They save you tons of time with the repeat feature and they always respond immediately to inquiries. Pros Great interface- they really get what people need to manage teams. Quick response from customer support. Cons Price has been steadily rising which is not a big deal as the team splits it. If we didn't have 300 families with other kids using it, I would try to go elsewhere. Pros When it works its simple and functional. Cons You'll never talk to a live person and they don't care. You have to start with a bot. Then wait 20+ mins to even get to a CS chat. They're awful, and take over a minute to respond to each of your replies. Seems like they're working on 8 other people at the same time. It is also easy to manage multiple teams in the app at the same time. Pros The ease of inputing games and practices into the system is very easy and covers many small details needed for effective communication. July 13, 2019 1.0 I contacted teamsnap support for an issue and they were not able to help solve my issue. Pros I do like the concept of this app and service. Cons You can not view your previous payments. The website says you have to use the app to view payment info. I was not able to find the info in the app. After contacting their support they told me you can't view previous payments in the app. So conflicting information. You can not combine your payments for your athletes in to one bill. Because you can't combine your bill the app charges you a processing fee for each bill just adding to the overall cost. If you are in the app and select pay now on the home screen the app takes you to a website in your browser. If you select pay now under invoices due tab you can pay your bill inside the app. You cant save your card info inside the app for future payments. The amount of ads in the app and on the website is beyond nauseating unless you want to pay another $2 a month on top of all the fees they already charge.
