### "AVOID BONTERRA WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!"

I DESPISE THEM WITH ALL MY BEING. The exploitation of nonprofit services at the horrifyingly exorbitant prices is unconsciounable. The nonprofit sector is struggling already. Bonterra is just around to bayonet the wounded and make sure the support resources and software are out of reach costwise. HATE THEM.

Pros

I really used to like the customizable features of Apricot. I literally like nothing about Bonterra. They are predatory and buy up systems important to nonprofits and then jack the prices up.

Cons

The price!! Bonterra has bought up a LOT of nonprofit support systems and software and has JACKED UP the price on everything while at the same time reducing support and customization features until the products are not worth the hassle.

Overall my experience has been great. The training I had before we launched our database was great and the continued support is very helpful.

Pros

The ability to customize just about any field and report without having to ask or pay Bonterra to do it for me.

Cons

There are a few fields that I am unable to delete and require me to speak with a Bonterra employee if I want to remove them. These are fields in prebuilt forms.

Whenever we needed to make a change to the database, we needed to go through ASI-ware, wait for a quote, if the quote was within our budget, then we'd approve, then we needed to wait for production to finish, then test it, then finalize the change. It was a lot of time and money to customize forms and reports.

### "Horrible Platform"

I have been having issues with this system since we began using it in 2021. We never got to a place where we could fully function on our own. It always required the use of their staff. Every time I would reach out to the company for issues, their solution was always us having to pay for an upgrade or more training. I have done the upgrades and the additional training and paid for it, yet we still are not able to operate the system effectively. The system is NOT user friendly and customer service is horrific. Their version of customer services is to up sale us into something else that we don't need. I want to cancel my subscription to this platform before the end of the contracted date but they lock you into a long contract and continue to take your money without proper support. I believe you they provided false advertisement and quite frankly do not value the customer. I have tried multiple times to cancel and get support from \[sensitive content hidden\] who said she has sent this information to her higher ups, but to date I have not heard from any managers or supervisors. They should be embarrassed at the type of service you provide to people.

N/a. We couldn't get it to function for us the way we needed it to. Not user friendly.

Cons

The system is not customizable or user friendly.

Cons

I do wish there was a chat feature right on the site. Sometimes I need a question answered quicker than an email exchange allows.

Our overall experience has been excellent.

Pros

I can customize it on the fly as our procedures change. I was able to build it out using terminology, field names and functions specific to our case management needs. All of the other systems we looked at were missing one or more functions that we needed.

Cons

Just small things. We have often wished that there was an age calculation field that could be added to the Household screen along with the DOB. Right now, we have to run a report to see ages.

### "Bonterra Case Management: A quick glance"

Overall it has been great. We have been able to cut down our human error from going paper/spreadsheets to this solution with the tracking and reporting. It has also drastically reduced the amount of time to type up reports for our grants. Prior we would be looking at 6-8 hours per report. With Bonterra Case Management, we can now run the reports and have all the information ready in a few minutes and have the entire report done in 1 to 2 hours.

Pros

On the front end, the ability for our team to collaborate with each other regardless of who was the case manager. On the back end, the ability to create what we needed how we need it. Building our own forms and workflows that work for us rather than a cookie cutter solution that we would have to work around and change our process to fit the product.

Cons

The inability for the calendar within Bonterra Case Management to sync with our calendars. We are a GSuite organization and would love that when we put a next appointment for a client within Bonterra Case Management, the ability for that to automatically be put on our calendars as well.

The ease of use, robust system, that what out of the box looked daunting, has the support implementation team and customer care team to make it successful for each organization. We were able to take best practices with our own spin to make sure it worked for us rather than the wild west and not sure where or how to make the other options our own.

### "Better with Apricot"

I really enjoyed Apricot I have worked with prior programs like child plus and apricot definitely tops that in my book.

Pros

Apricot is really easy to use and manage. It makes it easier when my job is able to make adjustments to how we manage our clients documents when we say we like one way or if we don't like it they are able to make changes. It is very secure with the password and making sure you change your passwords frequently which ensures client privacy and protection.

Cons

Really no cons I just wish there was an auto save option especially for the notes section and we can't do anything about system updates but sometimes those are inconvenient

Bonterra Case Management has helped me monitor data related to projected outcomes related to interactions with clients. This softwear helps the agency I work for monitor data that we send over in our quarterly reports to funders. Also, I find it easy to access in terms of searching clients and documenting case notes. I highly recommend Bonterra Case Management.

Pros

The ease of access while documenting client notes after doing an intake with a new client. Also, bonterra case management is easy to navigate in terms of reading other social workers case notes before meeting with a new client. This software is incredibly user friendly.

Cons

At times the software will freeze up and provide an error message stating a client does not exist when they have already been registered with Bonterra. However, by contacting tech support the issue is quickly resolved.

Cons

The frustration that I have with the program is that the agencies that I refer to the most are not options in the menu bars. That has more to do with the agency I work for and not the program itself.

What I like most about the case management system is it has a lot of drop-down options when putting in the services provided.

Cons

Access and navigation of the website is typically smooth and errorless. I am able to run reports and document notes without complaint. The design is attractive and easy to understand. My 2 complaints are when I have to refresh a client file because the server isn't responding and if I have to search old notes to adjust or refresh myself with a note, it gets confusing easily and isn't simple to navigate.

Pros

Easy to navigate site and document notes.

Cons

Occasional slow response to access items. Occasionally unable to access client notes and requires refreshing server. Searching for past documentation can be time consuming and confusing. I don't like that it refreshes with the last note opened--it would be more helpful to keep the dates in order or maybe even have a calendar view of the notes.
