### "Revver Customer Service and AI Review"

September 24, 2025

4.0

Revver's team is a standout for their excellent customer support. Whenever I've had an inquiry, their representatives have been quick to respond and demonstrate a deep understanding of their software's capabilities and limitations. Their expertise makes it easy to get answers and solutions efficiently, which is a huge plus. The main area for improvement is the Fin AI Chat Bot. While I understand its purpose, it can be a significant hurdle to bypass when immediate, human assistance is required. For urgent issues, having a simpler, more direct option to connect with a live agent would greatly enhance the user experience. Overall, the support from the Revver team is top-notch, and a small improvement to the AI chat bot could make their service truly exceptional.

Pros

1\. Excellent customer support from the Revver team. 2. Representatives are quick to respond and have a deep understanding of the software's strengths and limitations. 3. Their expertise makes it easy to get efficient answers and solutions.

Cons

1\. The Fin AI Chat Bot is a significant hurdle to bypass. 2. It can be difficult to get immediate human assistance when needed for urgent issues. 3. There is a lack of a simple, direct option to connect with a live agent.

### "Revver Review 9/25/25 JIL"

September 25, 2025

4.0

Was my only choice since E-File Cabinet was discontinued. Was long-time customer with them and was much more cost affordable and easy to use.

Pros

Easy to use, support is good, feel safe and secure. Easy transition from E-File Cabinet. Security for sharing files with clients.

Cons

Price very high for one man operation (retired) like myself. File sharing is difficult for me to figure out and use: not sure what to allow and not allow so as not to open up files to everyone else. Clients have hard time using it as well; they say Drop Box is much easier for them. Files often difficult to "view", as just spins a lot (a common problem for me).

### "Revver simplifies document management with secure storage and workflow automation "

May 8, 2026

4.0

Overall experience with Revver has been positive. It makes operational departments' life easier by effective document management, making storage, organisation and retrieval much easier.

Pros

I like Revver's strong document management capabilities to keep documents organised, searchable and easy to access in one secured place. Its platform offers secured file storage, workflow automation, ad better control over document heavy processes. Additionally, I like its easy-to-use interface and collaboration benefits.

Cons

Revver is great for SME but may not be an ideal choice for mid to large corporations who might be needing very advance search or highly customised user management etc. Occasionally, the platform faces technical glitches, gets slowdown, hit search limitation when handling large volume of documents.

### "An online file cabinet that has more cons than pros"

July 14, 2025

3.0

Overall, it is just an online filing system. It does the job and has the capability to store vast amounts of files, documents, etc. in different formats. Sometimes it works well other times it doesn't and has to be shut down and restarted throughout the day. It logs the user out faster than necessary and logging back in is time consuming. There is an annual cost for each user which is fairly expensive.

Pros

It is very easy to set up new drawers and new folders. Editing it also very easy. The way the system lays out the drawers is user friendly and makes navigation fairly easy. Most documents that are individual files can be dragged into place, which is very convenient.

Cons

It takes a bit too long to load the entire system when first logging in. The system lags and does not keep up with fast typing or fast actions. The search feature is very clunky and not an easy straightforward search option. If folders are found, it is difficult to go right to the folder that is chosen. A file has to be downloaded before it can be viewed or removed which is time consuming. There is a "failed uploads" icon that shows documents that were successfully uploaded, which is confusing. There are frustrating times while in this system.

Response from Revver

September 24, 2025

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you find Revver’s drawer layout, navigation, and drag-and-drop functionality convenient and user friendly. We understand your concerns about system speed and search. In many cases, lagging or delays are related to individual bandwidth or connectivity rather than the platform itself, and our team would be happy to help troubleshoot those issues with you. Likewise, search performance and navigation can often be improved with a quick training session to make sure you’re getting the most out of the available functionality. We appreciate your candid comments. They help us continue to improve, and we’d love the opportunity to support you further so you can take full advantage of everything Revver offers.

### "Honest Review"

September 24, 2025

It’s fine. There is work that can be done to make it better. It would be nice if we could migrate all our files to the Enterprise version and only have one account.

Pros

It’s easy to use and you can retrieve files from any PC. It’s nice to be able to pull client records from anywhere.

Cons

We have fits with trying to use Revver to email secure documents. Also, we have 2 different accounts, the Legacy version and the Enterprise version.

OVERALL OUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN EXCELLENT OVER THE YEARS. WE CONTINUE TO APPRECIATE THE EASE OF USE.

Pros

WE HAVE USED 'EFILECABINET' NOW, REVVER, SINCE 2005. DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT IS SO MUCH EASIER WITH REVVER. WE ARE ABLE TO QUICKLY FIND DOCUMENTS WHEN NECESSARY FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT. REALLY LIKE THE ABILITY TO GET ESIGNATURES.

Cons

ABILITY TO ARCHIVE IN BULK. THE SYSTEM HAS HICCUPS FROM TIME TO TIME WHEN IT MUST BE REPOOTED NOT JUST REFRESHED.

### "Efficient and Secure Document Management."

May 11, 2026

Revver overall is exceptionally good, especially as a reliable document management solution. It has helped streamline the way we organize, store or share files across team, It undoubtedly improves efficiency and reduces manual effort. Workflows and collaboration within organization has increased drastically.

Pros

Its UI is very easy to use, which makes the document management simple. Also its document storage is fully secure with strong access controls with two factor authenticator. Along with it, we have reliable sharing features for securely sending and receiving files with clients.

Cons

File sharing permissions can be sometimes confusing to configure properly, also sometimes it feels system gets slow while using it. Navigating folders is a bit difficult sometimes.

### "Streamlined Document Management with Revver"

May 9, 2026

4.0

Revver is strong in security, automation, and ease of use, but like any software, it has areas that could be polished. The search tool and permission settings could be more intuitive, and occasional technical quirks like cache clearing or misleading notifications can interrupt the otherwise smooth experience.

Pros

I’ve been using Revver for managing documents, and what stands out most is how effortless it feels to stay organized. The interface is clean and intuitive, so I don’t waste time hunting for files or figuring out complicated menus. Uploading and scanning documents is quick, and once everything is in the system, it’s easy to retrieve them whenever I need.

Cons

While generally user‑friendly, some advanced features take time to master, which may slow down adoption for new users.

### "Long Time User"

September 6, 2023

1.0

We have been using Revver (formerly efilecabinet) for 9 years. The prior software (we used desktop, on premises) was actually very stable and usable. Search was instantaneous. It was easy to view your files, profiles and store things. When you drag something into your cabinet, the profile bar would pop right up and allow you to input any data you wanted to store with the file. ALL of that is no longer the case with "Revver". Storing files is still drag and drop, but adding profiles/data is a little longer of a task. You cannot see profiles at the same time as the document anymore and the interface is not customizable, so that is not an option.and the killer is the search. We have 30k files and add them daily. We search constantly to find what we have in our database to use towards new projects. While we would easily search multiple times per minute to quickly scout our data, this is no longer possible. It takes north of 30 seconds to come back with each search. Who wants to sit and watch your mouse spin for 30 seconds to do a search? And then need to search 3 or 4 more times? We are killing hours here watching a spinning mouse. Lastly, the search is just plain bad. Combining words or trying to search words with data points is impossible as it always finds nothing. They took a good product, reinvented the wheel, and came out with something bad on the other side. Bottom line, look elsewhere. Revver is really not a good solution

Pros

The setup and interface is still very simple. Document folders are easy to navigate

Cons

Web based interface just seems cheap. For an expensive product, it just feels like corners are cut. Search is unbearably slow. This is the killer for us. Interface windows/displays are not customizable. You can no longer see a preview and a profile at once.

Reason for choosing Revver

It used to be easy and simple and actually do its job well. Search is really bad now.

### "Ok software with so-so customer support."

August 31, 2021

3.0

I like the software, it has a ton of potential, just still a lot of bugs and glitches that are frustrating and counter productive, especially on Mac.

Pros

It is a great software for document management, version control and document sharing. It has been very useful for our 5 employee team.

Cons

Customer service is so-so and since the software doesn't work very well on Mac, we've encountered many issues over the year we've used it. It is unfortunate because it works very well on PC and if they could make it as good on Mac it would be amazing. My biggest issue is that it is sold as Mac compatible, but every time we run into an issue on Mac, the help desk always struggles to help us. For example, we haven't been able to use the software properly for over a month now and the problems still haven't been fixed, which is very frustrating.

### "eFile didn't meet our business goals"

November 15, 2019

1.0

Our overall experience with eFileCabinet was not good. Software didn't meet our goals and the experience we had with Customer Support was horrible. They were really nice via chat at first though. They helped us when we had a small technical problem. But in terms of requesting a feature and clarifying what eFile can and can't do was horrible. They tried to confused us multiple times, but at the end they had to agree that eFile couldn't do what we needed. And in terms of Retention - how could you allow users with edit permission to be able to change a document retention? In summary, the mayor problem we encountered was that the EDIT permission from VOEDA is really broad. As a future recommendation please try to have better communication with your clients. If eFile can't do what we need say so! If the feature request can't be done say so! Don't let the client get all confused and making them wait and wait and wait. At the end, as a result, your client will leave.

Pros

It's simple to install, easy to understand and work with.

Cons

Before starting on what we didn't like, we would like to point out that we are using the on-prem software (not the online version). Stating that, the software didn't meet our business goals. We needed a software that allowed us to assign security permissions to users, and even though eFile has some predefined ones, they didn't had what we were looking for even though they said it did when selling us the product. For example, we needed users to be able to download, edit the document inside and upload new documents inside drawers and/or folders. But we didn't want them to have permission to also edit/change the drawer/folder name and/or add subfolders. That would mean that my users can change ALL my folder structure. We were in talk with Customer Support and they asked us to create a feature request which we did. After that they promised us they would send a schedule -which they never did-. We kept writing to them and nothing. We also called and nothing. They didn't follow up with the request as promised. The software didn't also meet our requirement on retention which is really important for our business. Note: Any user can edit the retention of an item if they have "edit permission". We also requested for the retention settings to be only controlled by a system administrator. Nothing. No response. We are still waiting after two months on the "schedule" they were supposed to send us and nothing. We wrote to them a lot and still no response.

Reason for choosing Revver

Because eFile was recommended to us, the software had nice reviews and it seemed simple to use. Customer Support also told us eFile could do what we needed. They were right on only one thing - it was simple to use. But the overall experience with client support was horrible and the software didn't have the features we needed.

### "Please contact me to explain if your software will improve"

December 9, 2016

1.0

Our investment into eFileCabinetOnline has not produced what we had expected and what we had discussed when the product was pitched to us. The functionality lags way far behind our predecessor ShareFile. The linking between EFCO and SecureDrawer is great except there are so many limitations and issues with the new version of SecureDrawer that many of our professionals and many of our clients at times dread using your product (which affects our business). The fact that versioning still gets displayed in England time in EFCO is a joke. When we called it was said this will hopefully be worked on but not likely in the old Out of Browser EFCO. I understand upgrading to the newest versions because we did that immediately with SecureDrawer due to the catastrophic issues with your products and Silverlight which cost our firm a lot of money trying to use the product and dealing with our client's issues accessing files. Anyways, we switched over to the new SecureDrawer and permissions all changed for our administrative staff, there are fewer options to be able to customize who has access to what, and we can't even use the filter search to find drawers unless we have already scrolled down to that area of the alphabet both on the left and middle panes of the product. When I called support, I was told it was "on the list" but likely wouldn't be addressed soon because of all the issues with the rollout of the new version (this was in mid-June 2016 and there's still no improved functionality....) Other items you may want to consider when I compare you to ShareFile. Your notifications no longer provide much detail that is helpful. It would be helpful to know what folder of a drawer a file was uploaded to or downloaded from. Another area ShareFile has a leg up on you is that you could send an email to a guest user along with a link to the specific folder in their drawer that you would like them to upload files to (it helps greatly with administration). Their batch uploads were much more efficient and worked more often than yours do. On the eFileCabinet side, I will investigate the newer version along with sidekick to hopefully see that resolution to issues in the old version was addressed but based on our experience with your products that's unlikely. I apologize for the tone of this experience, but I have lost numerous hours and our firm has lost money related to dealing with issues related to your software. I would greatly appreciate a call from anyone from EFCO.

Pros

You can link SecureDrawer to eFileCabinet. And you can access from virtually anywhere

Cons

Our investment into eFileCabinetOnline has not produced what we had expected and what we had discussed when the product was pitched to us. The functionality lags way far behind our predecessor ShareFile. Versioning doesn't work in eFileCabinet. Filtering doesn't work in SecureDrawer, you cannot download multiple files or sometimes upload multiple files at once without issues or errors. Permissions in SecureDrawer do not have many options. Notifications are in general not helpful. SecureDrawer itself is not as good as Citrix's ShareFile for example wherein ShareFile you can direct a guest user to a specific folder with a direct link. When they click the link they can log in and find themselves in the exact folder or subfolder in which to upload. You also could have different permissions for different subfolders instead of only being able to change permissions at the drawer level. Overall the cons definitely outweigh any pros we have experienced.

### "Worth it!"

March 11, 2020

5.0

We have had an excellent experience with eFileCabinet. The customer service team is very responsive, our sales person is well informed on the product and can easily direct you to the team member who will be able to assist you with a problem. The trainers are patient and are willing to advise on the set up of your files. Our trainer, Kevin, knows EVERYTHING about the product, and is willing to do multiple sessions for us to make sure that we understand how to use the product.

Pros

eFile Cabinet and the associated Rubex software make moving from paper files to digital files easy. The various add-ins provide access to the system from your email, PDF, MSExcel, and MSWord. Once uploaded, the files (and their contents) are easy to search. An additional feature that is particularly useful for our team is the ability to allow a "guest user" to access files for a limited time. This is a lifesaver for managing audits and allowing employees to access and view documents in their file. The best feature in this software is the "help" automations that literally walk you through the different activities you may want to accomplish in the software.

Cons

This software can be used be a team that does not have a "plan" for moving to a digital platform, but that is very unwise. It is easy to begin using it right away; the biggest challenge comes in the set up and administration. There is a definite learning curve, and the training that is offered should be readily accepted -- it will be needed, and it is very helpful!

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Revver

eFileCabinet provided us with an on-line repository that was secure, easy to use, and we felt would last for quite a while. Nothing may last forever, but we feel confident in the security of our files and our ability to access them. The Microsoft Products often change (without notice), with features being updated or dropped with little or not time to make alternative plans. Additionally, they can be confusing and often require the use of a Developer. I set up the eFileCabinet account, the organization of new files, the governance protocols, and the upload of old files. The customer service is phenomenal, and I don't think I could have gotten this level of service and competence anywhere else.

### "Zonal OCR - eFile Cabinet's best feature that we can't use"

October 7, 2021

5.0

Great support from the SALES people in terms of getting you set up with basic access to your account. Nothing special after that. The software is WAY overpriced if all you need to do is provide online access to documents. The only reason we would consider renewing is if we were provided the cooperation and adequate assistance from tech support to properly train users on Zonal OCR, rather than being made to feel like you're the last person they feel like talking to. Or, FIX the software so that you don't have to spend so much time teaching non programmers how to use it.

Pros

The software has a lot of great features, such as easily being able to manage user access to documents, ease of creating files, uploading, downloading, etc. I really like the Rubex icon which can easily be added to the "ribbon" dashboard in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

Cons

There are several different choices available to businesses today that offer the same basic features and functions offered by eFile Cabinet for a fraction of the cost. The cabinet structure is extremely limited, and the icons for cabinets and drawers (ugly gray block looking thing) look way too much alike, causing confusion for new users. E-File Cabinet's Zonal OCR is what could potentially separate them from their competitors, and is in my opinion, the BEST and most AMAZING tech tool available for those who need to file mass amounts of documents (Invoices from hundreds of vendors in our situation). I used the word potentially because, unless you are a programmer, trying to set up templates for Zonal OCR is beyond challenging. And though the sales staff will taught that their tech staff is supportive, my experience has been that they are less than thrilled at having to spend time on the phone tutoring non techies on how to set up templates. In a nutshell, don't offer or advertise a feature of your software that can't be used by non programmers. This could EASILY be fixed by adding simple user friendly radio buttons (steps) that non programmers could follow through and understand.

### "Powerful document management and collaboration"

April 28, 2023

5.0

This is a solid and functional platform for document management and team collaboration. Its versatility and useful features make it a valuable tool for any office manager. It would be useful to further explore its capabilities and consider implementing it in project management and internal workflows.

Pros

I have been impressed by its wide range of collaboration and document management tools. Its ability to assign access permissions at different levels and version tracking makes it easy for me to maintain control over shared information. Real-time editing features allow team members to work together on a single document, which streamlines communication and improves productivity. The built-in chat function is also useful for real-time discussions. The option of predefined, customizable templates saves time in document creation.

Cons

The user interface design and experience could be improved, as some menus and options can be confusing for new users.

That I can access my files anywhere from any device. Docusign is included, or esignature. the security of the software. The way the files are organized.

Cons

When I upload excel documents and then try and check in with changes there have been multiple instances where my changes were not saved! Its very frustrating when I have to make the same edits over and over again. I have about 5 or 6 guests on the account and they seem to always have trouble with the app...opening...downloading...viewing. They also have had many issues across devices especially apple. Usability on the tablet is not good at all. The app is no use and I cannot check files in and out on the tablet, which is the device our whole company is moving towards to conduct business. There are days when the site is experiencing technical error where it will tell my coworkers and I that "There is an internal server error," and will not let us in. When I ask about how the app or the software talks with other software none of the customer support specialists seem to know.. We made our own adobe forms that are editable and eFile is not compatible with editing those form within eFilecabinet. That we knew going in, but we have looked at other similar systems that do offer that feature. The guest access is EXTREMELY limited compared to other systems. Having a feature where you can edit a certain file inside eFile would be beneficial. similar to a google docs.
