Pros: I worked great in the beginning not able to use it now, was able to see past appointments and doctors availability

Cons: Not able to login it keeps asking to change password and goes no further than homepage. It is useless now

Cons: It doesn't work.

Overall: From the perspective of a patient, Medesync Patient is only marginally functional. My doctor's clinic has been using it for a while, and I have yet to be able to book an appointment on the system, and invariably end up doing so over the phone directly with the clinic.

I have had too many technical issues attempting to use the site (from log-in to checking availability and booking appointments) to detail here, and there is no online help available for patients (not even a FAQ page), and no support number for patients to call. (My clinic's previous provider for this type of service had a helpline during business hours.)

As a patient, I would advice medical practitioners and clinics to avoid Medesync Patient, as it will not at all serve the purpose of reducing the load on your staff who take appointments by phone. The only useful purpose Medesync Patient serves is to provide an online history of my previous appointments - for making future appointments, I will not waste my time trying again, and will simply call the clinic.

When called my doctor's clinic to make my appointment, I mentioned my difficulties with Medesync Patient, and the receptionist told me that the part of Medesync used by doctors (to access patient files or information) works very well for them, but that many patients have expressed complaints similar to mine, and that almost all of the clinic's appointments are still booked by phone. She seemed particularly surprised that there is absolutely no help or support for patients online or by phone.

Recommendations to other buyers: Medical professionals and clinics, don't waste your time or money providing this as an appointment portal for your patients.
