Pros: MyNewsDesk does well what it's supposed to do, i.e. helps you with media outreach, press release distribution, and provides a place for your press releases to live on in the Internet. Some social media integration as well. Quite easy to use also for non-technical people. Very good support.

Cons: I feel the time has passed by this type of software. There are much better ways to reach out to the media, e.g. through direct social media contacts, personalized e-mails, etc. Some journalists have also reported that for some reason press releases sent from MyNewsDesk had gone directly to their spam folders.

Overall: MyNewsDesk helps with mass press release publication, but for us it's most useful as a centralized location for all press releases and company publications.

Pros: 1) Easier to use even for non-technical people.

2) Comes everything out of the box for your PR needs.

3) Good customer support.

Cons: Limited customization:

Could be a problem, if one is trying to replicate their site exactly with mynewsdesk (header and footer). No Javascript allowed for header/footer customization.

Overall: MyNewsDesk SaaS makes it easier to get to the market instead of going through development/deployment process when compared to other CMS.
