They will delete your account for no good reason and KEEP your money while ruining your ability to deliver results for clients. Perhaps sending a press release out about a change in restaurant menus would work, but if you are a PR agent, lawyer, politician or similar, you are at GREAT risk of being cut off and robbed.

Pros

There was not much backend work to send a press release.

Cons

That it can be removed from use on the whim of some millennial with no idea whatsoever, that they can cause significant damage to businesses. Customer service are children.

MyNewsDesk helps with mass press release publication, but for us it's most useful as a centralized location for all press releases and company publications.

Pros

MyNewsDesk does well what it's supposed to do, i.e. helps you with media outreach, press release distribution, and provides a place for your press releases to live on in the Internet. Some social media integration as well. Quite easy to use also for non-technical people. Very good support.

Cons

I feel the time has passed by this type of software. There are much better ways to reach out to the media, e.g. through direct social media contacts, personalized e-mails, etc. Some journalists have also reported that for some reason press releases sent from MyNewsDesk had gone directly to their spam folders.

MyNewsDesk SaaS makes it easier to get to the market instead of going through development/deployment process when compared to other CMS.

Pros

1) Easier to use even for non-technical people. 2) Comes everything out of the box for your PR needs. 3) Good customer support.

Cons

Limited customization: Could be a problem, if one is trying to replicate their site exactly with mynewsdesk (header and footer). No Javascript allowed for header/footer customization.
