Cons As for negative side, i dont remember anything. perhaps there was no problem during using Threatmetrix, so i would notice that. It helps businesses detect fraud by going into the nitty gritty of the online order source- device info, IP info, payment info, etc. which also helps businesses find commonalities among orders that make catching organized groups of fraudsters easier. Pros As someone who works in the fraud department, ThreatMetrix is my bestfriend at work. Not only does it identify the probability of an order being fraud, but it also gives a snapshot of all the orders going through with details that are unique to the order like device ID, browser language, true IP, etc. Moreover, it links it to other orders with the same attributes, making identifying fraud trends easier. Catching fraud has never been easier! Cons Some of the ThreatMetrix rules are abbreviations and there's no list for all the rules and their definitions so it might be difficult to understand what's going on with an order you're looking at. Going into the ThreatMetrix portal itself could also overwhelm someone, especially someone who is not well-versed in the technological aspect of orders so having a background on it would be helpful. The portal is not really user-friendly so having a handbook or training documents would be very beneficial.
