### "Jamon's Review"

April 27, 2026

4.0

I have been using Fishbowl for nearly two years now and it has been a great experience. While we have had some growing pains getting used to the software and learning its little quirks. The biggest issue we have had is that we did not initially conform all of our part numbers and descriptions which made it difficult to search for certain parts. I have mostly fixed this issue at this point, but it would be nice if the search criteria wasn't so specific.

Pros

Easy to learn graphical interface. Very effective at inventory management for a small warehouse. Client runs on multiple operating systems for ease of use with a variety of mobile devices.

Cons

Price is pretty high even compared to competition. I do not like the idea of paying for industry standard reports that seem to be missing from the client. Issues with "scanning" on IOS phones.

### "Highly recommended software solution"

April 14, 2026

5.0

Our overall experience with Fishbowl has been very positive. Having an automotive based business, there are many combinations of parts we can put together, so kits has been very valuable to our business. The integrations with the ecommerce platforms and shipping solutions have made our order management efficient and effortless. Fishbowl has been an integral part of our company's success.

Pros

We have been using Fishbowl for 8 years. It does everything we need for inventory control, point of sale and order management. The integration with eBay, Big Commerce and ShipStation are paramount to our business running smoothly. Anytime we have needed customer support, they have been responsive and resolutions have been quick. We mainly use kits on our selling platforms and Fishbowl's capabilities in this area are versatile.

Cons

Any time there is an upgrade, we are reluctant to install it because of issues we have had in the past upgrading the first day or two after it is released.

Reason for choosing Fishbowl

Fishbowl had a similar or better price point than other systems we considered. The initial setup and data import was more robust. I was not able to choose the ones I considered from the list, but we looked at Counterpoint, Sage and a couple others.

### "Flexible but needs more granularity"

April 27, 2026

4.0

Fishbowl reports can be customized but the response time is a bit long. It would also be nice to see reports on screen rather than as a PDF report or CVS output.

Pros

It offers alot of flexibility to accommodate our business model of high-mix low volume sales, as well as custom builds. The modules are intuitive and there is clear traceability.

Cons

I would like more granularity and data analytics capabilities, for example, to drill down to individual raw material costs per sales order over time. The reorder reports can also be improved by providing shortages to a certain data range, rather than all or none approach.

Been using it for about 3 years now. Really like the customer service team. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Much better than an AI chatbot or outsourced customer service.

Pros

I like how we can do everything out of fishbowl -> order management, inventory tracking, reporting, shipping labels, etc.

Cons

Never have been able to get the quickbooks online integration to work for us. Causes doubled up payments and a lot of reconciling on the accounting side.

### "Fishbowl Advanced for Manufacturing, Sales, and Inventory."

April 14, 2026

4.0

Overall I have a good impression from Fishbowl, pricing is affordable for small teams, but its got the feature set for big customers. I would use it for again if I needed to make the choice.

Pros

They have a self-hosted version, its very high quality, low maintenance to run the server. The software has a huge set of features for manufacturing and inventory control. Sales orders and purchase orders are also all under the same roof. Sales orders support invoicing and reporting. Manufacturing has BOM's, Work Orders, Manufacture Orders, and has options for custom MO's as well as reverse MO's. Software has a great layout, its not old and dated, but neither is it a flashy smooth interface that changes with every new update. Styling is consistent. Customer support is easy to reach, they recently on-boarded a number of new employees, so no issues. Accounting export is automatically synced from Fishbowl to Quickbooks. It supports desktop and cloud versions of quickbooks. Seamless integration.

Cons

New features are slow in coming. They could use an upgraded custom reporting tool, current stock report set is great, but ability to customize is somewhat lacking.

### "Sunsation Implementation"

January 5, 2026

4.0

Overall, our experience with Fishbowl has been super positive. Our implementation team has been nothing but helpful and has been able to assist us through the struggles of going live. Trainings were very easy to schedule and feedback throughout the trainings has been a large piece to our continued success in Fishbowl.

Pros

We enjoyed the customization that Fishbowl offers. Being a boat manufacturer puts our implementation in the more niche category due to the individualistic nature of building boats, and Fishbowl was able to guide us through building the system around out own best practices. It is amazing how much we are able to accomplish in just the warehousing license and the workarounds we created to manufacturing in a warehouse limited database. The other pieces of Fishbowl that we have enjoyed thus far include the clarity of process steps due to green arrow, red truck, blue checkmark. The ability to run a multitude of reports. The ease of invoicing directly from a sales order. And especially the functionality of kitting. Furthermore, we look forward to leveraging tools such as auto PO's and order tracking to increase our inventory efficiency.

Cons

Fishbowl has a large amount of reports that are very helpful, but can be rigid in customization. For example, the inventory valuation summary does not let the report filter for multiple location groups at once, and instead can only be sorted by one location or location group at a time. Other reports also have a restricting feel to them being that there aren't many options to add fields to the report from within the modify report wizard. One of the biggest reports we would like to be able to run out of Fishbowl is a work in progress report, but being that we aren't in the manufacturing license, we cannot. We would like to be able to run this report based off location type, as we have do have manufacturing type locations set up in Fishbowl for inventory in process. Customizations and added filter fields in the inventory valuation summary would be very helpful.

### "Excellent platform for our manufacturing business"

April 20, 2026

4.0

Our overall experience with Fishbowl is very good - which is why it is our primary business platform. It is a little discouraging that a couple of issues take in excess of a year to be addressed

Pros

Fishbowl is an excellent production, inventory management and order fulfillment and invoicing platform that integrates well with shipping, commerce APIs, and QuickBooks. The customer support is for the most part really good and available.

Cons

If you have an issue that requires attention by the programmers, it can take an extended period of time before they are addressed.

### "Overall, good Inventory Mangagement Software"

April 20, 2026

3.0

Our experience has been, overall, a good one. The tech help is very helpful when needed, and the software seems to function well.

Pros

Fishbowl works really well as it is. But there are some functionalities it is lacking. We worked with developers to create a customer report for us that they just were not able to do (create a production list). I like the intuitiveness of use, and I like the way most of the process flows are set up.

Cons

The RMA process is very cumbersome and repetetive. There are so many steps to the process, and doing one simple return takes much longer than it should. It would be nice to have saved settings to speed up the process, allowing for adjustments if desred. We do wish there was aa

### "Fishbowl Review: Outstanding Inventory and Order Management"

December 31, 2025

4.0

Fishbowl stands out as a robust solution for businesses seeking efficiency and control over their operations. Two of its strongest features are Inventory Management and Order Management, which truly set it apart from competitors. Inventory Management: Fishbowl provides comprehensive tools to track, organize, and optimize inventory across multiple locations. Its real-time visibility ensures accurate stock levels, reducing the risk of overstocking or stockouts. The system’s ability to integrate seamlessly with other platforms makes managing complex inventories effortless. Order Management: Handling orders is streamlined with Fishbowl’s intuitive order management capabilities. From purchase orders to sales orders, the platform simplifies the entire process, ensuring accuracy and speed. Automated workflows and customizable options help businesses save time while maintaining excellent customer service. Overall, Fishbowl delivers a powerful combination of functionality and ease of use, making it an ideal choice for businesses looking to strengthen their inventory and order management processes.

Pros

What I liked most about Fishbowl is its powerful inventory and order management features, which make tracking stock, processing orders, and maintaining accuracy across multiple locations incredibly efficient and reliable.

Cons

The integration with QuickBooks could be improved, as it sometimes requires extra steps to ensure smooth syncing between systems.

### "Great product for Warehouse Management"

April 20, 2026

5.0

Very positive, I do believe firmly that Fishbowl is a great product that also connects (by feed) seamlessly to Quickbooks Online, which has saved us many person-hours, thus providing value for money spent.

Pros

We use it mainly as a WMS, and there's an awful lot of functionality within this product to take advantage of. Calling out the "wiki" of videos and other materials for bot introduction to Fishbowl as well as to become aware of many aspects that help order management.

Cons

Reports and/or ability to write custom-reporting to meet our specific business needs. I do feel this is a bit more "back-burner" and may be in development.

### "Warehouse Manager"

August 25, 2025

Personally, I enjoy it, I think there is definitely a lot to improve on but I appreciate the constant updated. ERPs I had in the past did not have many updates if any.

Pros

The customer support was super helpful with technical issues. They were patient, called back when I couldn't figure out our phone systems.

Cons

The reporting can be better. Some reports are very modifiable which I enjoy but other are not. For example the label reports would be amazing if it wasn't trying to bring a label for every Oring under the same line.

### "Fishbowl review"

January 16, 2026

5.0

Our overall experience with Fishbowl has been solid, though not without a few challenges. The system delivers strong functionality and integrates well with our existing processes, but some areas of the interface can feel less intuitive than we’d like. Certain workflows take extra steps or require more navigation than expected, which can slow things down during busy periods. Even so, their customer support team is consistently responsive and helpful, which makes a meaningful difference in day‑to‑day use. Overall, Fishbowl gets the job done, but there’s room for the platform to become more streamlined and user‑friendly.

Pros

Fishbowl has been a strong addition to our workflow. The easy integration with our existing systems has saved us time and reduced errors, and their customer support team consistently goes above and beyond to help. It’s been a reliable, user‑friendly solution for our inventory needs.

Cons

While Fishbowl offers strong functionality overall, the area we like least is the occasional complexity in navigating certain features and workflows. Some tasks feel less intuitive than expected, which can slow things down when we’re trying to move quickly. Their customer support helps bridge the gap, but there’s definitely room for the interface and usability to become more streamlined.

### "Small SE Minnesota Manufacturer"

April 27, 2026

4.0

Pros

Fishbowl is a great value for the money for small manufacturers like us, who have very few users. Customer support has been exceptional. We use the web based version and having the ability to use it from any location is also a great advantage.

Cons

While Quickbooks is included with the contract when you purchase Fishbowl other integrations are not. We wanted to purchase the Shopify integration however they were experiencing difficulty with it and was unavailable. We went with the E-commerce instead. This isn't terrible for our current volume but may become expensive at the next tier.

### "Amazing system, amazing people!"

November 24, 2025

\[sensitive content hidden\] at Fishbowl made the entire process as seamless as possible. We came from a fan inferior system with a UI that left my employee's confused and constantly making mistakes. Fishbowl was willing to help guide those employees, and worked tirelessly to ensure we could migrate from our old system with ease. Thank you Fishbowl Team!

Pros

Fishbowl has an end user friendly UI that makes creating orders, and purchase orders seamless. It allows for quick and easy inventory management, and notifies users of inventory deficiencies right away. The cost per account is fair for a system of this caliber. Set up with Makayla was a breeze, she was a great help in getting this moving with Fishbowl, even when our migration was not a simple case by any means.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about this system. I have made some UI suggestions, and I was made aware that those suggestions were sent up to the development team right away. Great system, amazing customer support, and engineers who are willing to hear from their end users.

### "Strong Inventory Control with Room for Improvement in Usability"

March 26, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Fishbowl has been positive. It’s a robust inventory management system that has helped bring structure and visibility to our warehouse operations. We’ve been able to better track inventory, manage orders, and maintain more accurate stock levels, which has improved efficiency across the team. While there is a learning curve and some areas that could be more user-friendly, once the system is set up and processes are in place, it performs reliably. With continued improvements to usability and reporting, it has the potential to be an even stronger solution.

Pros

What I liked most about Fishbowl is how well it bridges the gap between inventory management and day-to-day warehouse operations. It provides strong visibility into stock levels, order status, and movement of goods, which helps keep everything organized and reduces errors. The ability to track inventory in real time and integrate with accounting systems is especially valuable. I also appreciate how customizable it is for different workflows, allowing it to adapt to our specific operational needs. Overall, it has helped streamline processes, improve accuracy, and make it easier for the team to stay aligned and efficient.

Cons

What I liked least about Fishbowl is that the system can feel a bit outdated and not as intuitive as newer inventory platforms. There is a learning curve for new users, especially on the warehouse side, and certain workflows require more steps than expected. Reporting can also be somewhat limited or difficult to customize without additional effort. At times, syncing and performance can lag, particularly when handling large data sets or multiple users. Overall, while it is a powerful system, improving usability, speed, and reporting flexibility would make it significantly better.

### "It could use some work, like all of them"

June 20, 2025

4.0

It's hit or miss. I don't like the training videos. They don't work for my industry. It's database keeping is pretty good, and the ability to sort is great. But it's also frustrating when there are things you want to be able to do, and just can't. There's no notification process when someone receives something a salesperson entered. So we have to go hunt down that Sales Order, then the person who entered the sales order, THEN we have to go into another type of message system to inform them UNLESS they are logged in to FB right at that moment. With a limit to how many people can be logged into the server at once that makes this yet another unnecessary step to do something very simple. There is a LOT of that with FB.

Pros

It's an easy way to incorporate Sales order, and purchase orders in one place. It has good options for sorting materials and making build lists, or manuf orders.

Cons

There needs to be more fluidity between the modules. I shouldn't have to put a cost in 3 different places for it to be able to be seen on a report. Also you should be able to click on the inventory tab on another mod to be moved to the inventory mod like you can between the part and product numbers. This is ONE of the most frustrating aspects for me.

My overall experience with FishBowl has been great. The learning curve is steep and the occasional system outages can impact our offline workflows greatly.

Pros

There are a dozen ways to look at data, which is helpful for our many departments. I used to work in order management/customer support and would spend most of my time in the sales windows. Now I am in inventory management and spend most of my time in the manufacturing windows. Having one comprehensive system has made changing departments seamless.

Cons

It's easy to "overwhelm" FishBowl. If you're working in too many tabs at once, the system often gets slow or freezes.
