Pros

The product is user friendly and very easy for a beginner to pick up with the guided instructions that Fishbowl provides on their help site. Fishbowl is very responsive when you need their assistance!

Cons

When an error is made in creating a sales order, invoice or transfer order and the process was completed it is not able to go back in and correct the error.

Pros

Fishbowl provides numerous benefits for an employee and can make a lot of internal processes easier. The functionality and different features offered are what I like most about the software.

Cons

The software can run slower if there are numerous users on it and the maximum limit can hinder the productivity of employees.

Everyone that I have spoken to that are employees at Fishbowl have been exceptionally helpful, friendly, and patient! If I had a question or did not understand something they were always very considerate and made sure I understood everything we were going over before we ended the conversation.

Pros

Everything you need regarding inventory is on Fishbowl.

We have been on a rollercoaster with Fishbowl for the past 3 years. Some of it was due to a rocky start on our part, and so many options on the software part. 3 years after we started using it, I was tasked with re-starting our Fishbowl Database and helping our company use Fishbowl properly. It took a lot of communication/training with Fishbowl and some cleanup of past employees bad habits, but now we seem to be on the right track. There was a lot of difficulty in learning the software and setting it up to match our business model and follow our production processes, but we are finally at a point where we can really use Fishbowl to keep us organized.

Prior to using Fishbowl we maintained our inventory in excel spreadsheets. Implementation of the software was easy because I could import our excel files directly into Fishbowl and begin using right away. I was also able to learn how each module worked through Fishbowl's online tutorials, making it easy to learn on my time and to train others. I have only had to call customer service a few times for questions over the years, and each person I talked to knew the software well enough that they could immediately help me instead of looking up an answer or transferring me to someone else. In short, we like it and will continue to recommend to others.

Our favorite part of the software is the reports that are generated. We also like the ability to create custom UOM and conversions.

Cons

Picking module is not as flexible as we would like. We wish we could change the UOM in the picking module.

Overall the software works great. Customer Service is always there to help. We have been officially using the software since August 2016 and we are still learning all that it can do. It has a lot of functionalities. And some that we wold really like to have. Some of the little issues that we struggle with are: Our BOM's are complicated and putting Sales orders in can be a little bit time consuming when manufacturing the product. UPS integration should be improved. Most of our products are shipped via UPS freight and this tracking is not communicating back to Fishbowl. So all of those tracking numbers must be entered manually.

The purchase was very smooth, lots of support with many people willing to help us but after we purchased this all came to a crashing stop. We have experienced long wait times for support and no calls back at times. They do offer a paid support service, but I would be hesitant as we had someone assigned to us and we could not get in touch with our "dedicated rep".

Pros

I find Fishbowl easy to use. It has made purchasing a breeze. Support is always very helpful when I need a bit of help.

Cons

I haven't found any real cons with Fishbowl. My biggest issue was with training over the phone. I would recommend that you have on site training with each purchase of Fishbowl.

Pros

It is very user friendly. Our on site trainer Sabrina was amazing, she is very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Cons

Trying to figure out if it has some of the same capabilities we had in Quick Books. Some of the functions we need are not there.

Our company was in desperate need of an inventory program that would not only allow us to buy in cases and sell in other units of measure, but also be able to do this accurately and efficiently. Additionally, we needed to be able to track lot numbers and expiration dates on not just cases ordered but also on items we assembled here. Fishbowl has done that for us. Since using Fishbowl our inventory is always accurate. This has saved us lots of money, from extra inventory sitting in our warehouse to lost orders due to shortages. The inventory monitor is great tool to calculate how much inventory we need to keep on hand.

Everytime I run into an issue, its resolved same day! Great updates always include features that matter to me and how I conduct business.

Pros

Ease of use and great documentation for support.

Cons

Some bugs rear their heads every now and then, but Fishbowl is quick to fix them or provide work arounds until there are resolved.

I first implemented FB in 2009 for a complex paint manufacturer. It worked perfectly. That company was purchased by a public company 4 years later and the financial people were very impressed.

Pros

It has many features for inventory management, BOM creation, WO management, shipping/receiving. And it now integrates with a lot of supplementary apps.

Thermo Electric is a manufacturer of temperature sensors. We are located around the globe and use FishBowl Inventory to handle our global operations. The product is easy to use, versatile and customer support always comes through with a solution when you have a problem. For the money, you can't find a better product. By using FishBowl, we have drastically reduced our systems overhead and increased efficiency. We have been using FishBowl since 2008/09 and are currently using the latest version. Each release is better than the last, so I can honestly say that FishBowl is heading steadily in the right direction.

We are a small manufacturing business so we didn't need a highly expensive and robust inventory system, but found out that QuickBooks wasn't robust enough for our needs. Fishbowl's software was the solution for us! We were able to learn how to use FB's inventory software quickly, and it was user friendly. Their customer support has been great also, especially in the beginning during our learning curve. Easy to connect with customer support by chat or phone, or send an email after hours and have an emailed response by the morning. Would highly recommend FB's inventory software for small businesses.

I highly recommend the onsite training for any Fishbowl user. Even if you have been using Fishbowl for a number of years, you will still find this training to be beneficial and cost effective.

Pros

The two day onsite training that was conducted by Luke Miller was exceptional. Luke was extremely knowledgeable and a huge help in identifying areas where we could improve our current setup. We trained 4 new people and all are now productive on Fishbowl.

Cons

Three days would have been the perfect length for this training.

Used a few different versions of this at different companies. It is one of the more straight-forward ERP systems out there. The functionality and customization is low, but still has everything the next tier up has.

Pros

Clear layout/interface. Quick learning curve. Not cluttered with too much data.

Wonderful, Wonderful product. This is definitely a must for our company as it helps keep track of inventory. I also love the fact we can import from quickbooks. Customer support is amazing. They are very helpful in the event we run into an issue.
