Promised everything we needed, took our money, $50,000 and 2 years later still do not have usable inventory management system. The sub contractors Fishbowl recommends to integrate does not care and provided minimal support. Only received partial training, 3 of 4 scheduled days. Have never used system and Fishbowl would not offer any portion of refund. Out $50k - have gone to another system which offers unbelievable support and 10 times better for about the same money. We had high hopes for Fishbowl, but extremely disappointed! Save your money, I would suggest any other company.

Easy to use; great UI. They need to be faster at responding to customer inquiries, but on the other side they have a lot of information on Wikis, like online manuals and setup instructions.

Pros

UI; ease of use.

Cons

Can not attach files to POs and SOs. Customer support needs to respond faster to customer inquiries.

We are a small wholesale company that warehouses and sells anywhere form 3,400 to 4,500 different items. We needed a system to track our purchases as will as our sales. Before purchasing Fishbowl, we used a system that was not as user friendly and did not work with a scanner. Fishbowl allows us to do product locations and print pick tickets with the locations, which makes pulling our orders so much quicker. It works beautifully with scanners and allows us to be more accurate with our sales order. Fishbowl has an excellent support team to help with questions that you might have!!

Ease of use, features, customer support. Detailed handling of WIP. Inventory at multiple locations can be tracked.

Cons

Does not integrate bar code scanning without an add on. It must be available to use easily even with existing bar code scanners that are corded.

We are a new client using an inventory management software for the first time and are extremely pleased with Fishbowl; it's ease of use and all it's capabilities including integration with shipping companies and our e-commerce. We looked at several products on the market and found that Fishbowl provided the most comprehensive system at a fair market price. Taking the time to set up your system and input your data properly makes all the difference in getting the most of this system. It's removing several duplicate steps in our current process and improving our bottom line!

Pros

This software really delivers for the very specific needs of Manufacturing. Tracking lot codes, FIFO, etc.

Cons

I wish I would have talked to a rep for a demo walk-through. It takes time to get your information put in, which would be with any software though.

Pros

This software is everything that you need to run a warehouse operation. there is a large selections of plugins to integration with whatever platform.

Cons

The plugins could get really expensive. Fishbowl commerce is on a pay by volume pricing structure.

We are a small parts supply business that inventories a large amount of parts with very similar part numbers. We used Quickbooks as our software for a few years and had issues with inventory control. We switched to Fishbowl as our inventory control software around 2 years ago. The support from Fishbowl during the initial install and startup was excellent. They have one of the best support teams I have found anywhere. Since changing over to Fishbowl we have corrected our inventory and been able to keep it accurate. It turned out to be an excellent addition for our company.

Cons

Cannot change the look and format of the forms on our own. We will also need to have the design department to help us with placing our company logo.

Pros

This software integrates well to QuickBooks software and you can schedule the data exports as frequently as you like for accurate bookkeeping.

Cons

Their customer support team doesn't answer the phone, so you have to email and wait up to 24 hours to hear back, sometimes even if you're down.

Pros

This product will help us in becoming more efficient, save money by avoiding errors in picking, packing and shipping; not to mention, increasing customer satisfaction. Fishbowl has been great from the first call to implementation.

Cons

The need of a third party scanner module (would have preferred to be part of Fishbowl). Also, would like the system to be able to be a bit more robust with approvals (SOs, Credit) and that would have an option for price rule where a minimum price is set and SOs could automatically be "approved" as long as price per item is same or above it, otherwise, would go into automatic approval process.

I took us a while to get it up and running, part of that was our fault and part was the customer support. Now that we are using it, it has some processes that are more difficult/complicated to use than they should be. It might just be growing pains, but our customer relations person complains about having to use it.

The support is fantastic. The product does what it is supposed to do. The only problems we had are the ones that have been fixed in updates.

Cons

Learn what it does before you decide to use. My employer isn't fan because they don't know what it is.

Our company has been using Fishbowl Inventory for the past few years. We have had a very positive experience with it since day 1. The ability to integrate and automate makes this platform really stand out from others we initially looked at in this price range. We are always looking at ways to increase efficiencies around our warehouse and Fishbowl has done a good job of releasing updates and add-on's that allow us to grow without the need for changing platform's all together. We are very excited for what's to come from Fishbowl. I highly recommend it!

Pros

Ease of use between modules is good and access to all parts manufacturing process in one software is a plus.

Cons

The amount of work it takes to edit items in inventory seems excessive. Would also be nice to delete items and not just deactivated.

Cons

Certain functions and needed applications are not easily found. Changes to costs and other areas are not easily accessible.

We have used Fishbowl for over 10 years and have seen the evolution of the software, we like the fact that with each update a new feature is added along with more functionality. The UI is simple to use and understand and the online videos makes training of new employees much easier. The only problem we have encountered with the system is the tech support response time, sometimes it takes more than a day to solve a simple issue. Overall, the software is a great tool for our operations; we handle all our sales, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing.

Pros

The product makes you work in the correct flowchart mentality. It keeps each step of the sales order process in check, allowing greater accountability of managing the pick-pack-ship department. The vendor has been pleasant to deal with each and every time that I called with a question.

Cons

We are still new in the system. Compared to our last system, we have made leaps and bounds just in handling our purchasing and drop-shipping.

Fishbowl's support services team is extremely responsive and helpful. I have had very few issues with the software, but when I did, they were expedient in responding to my calls and my issue was resolved on the first call. The software answers the needs of our company with regard to BOM, Inventory Management, Work Order processing, and shipping of customer orders.

Cons

At this time, I don't have any issues with the software.

Fishbowl is extremely responsive and has offered great support in setting things up.

Pros

I love that I can control everything that happens with my inventory and stock all through one system. It is also very easy to access the data and track orders.

Cons

It is difficult to customize reports and they are limited. I also had some problems connecting with quickbooks and getting all of my systems to stream properly.
