Overall Fishbowl appears to be a capable tool for organizations with advanced resource and inventory management needs. It just wasn’t the right fit for me after the free trial.

Pros

The platform feels built for teams that need structure and oversight across physical inventory and internal resources. It’s clear to me that there’s a lot of depth available once everything is configured.

Cons

Configuring workflows required a significant time investment and unfortunately the interface wasn’t immediately intuitive for our team.

Its pretty good. straightforward implementation. Learning curve is pretty flat. Support is fantastic

Pros

User Interface , Sophisticated Manufacturing , Purchase , Products , BOM , part modules. QuickBooks integration, Customization , Support and inventory management are pretty good as well . Fishbowls reporting and dashboards are pretty good. Support is always there whenever its needed.

Cons

RMA module is limited. No invoice module. Going back to the parent BOM in BOM module is not possible. We have to go to part module and click BOM and come back to the parent BOM. I think this is a needed feature.

AWESOME! This inventory system is very user friendly and easy to navigate. So far, we haven't had any issues. Wish I would have found Fishbowl a couple years ago before we got our last inventory system.

Pros

The customer service is wonderful from beginning to end! I can't say enough good things about everyone I've delt with while getting Fishbowl implemented as our new inventory system!

Cons

Reports. Fishbowl doesn't have some of the reporting tools that I need, but I hope to have this issue resolved soon with the Fishbowl team.

Overall, Fishbowl is a good program, but it needs some work on the user experience. If they improved the training and added more app integrations, it would be fantastic. As it stands, it's powerful, but it takes some effort to get there

Pros

What I liked best about Fishbowl was how efficient it is. Once I got the hang of it, it really sped things up.

Cons

Honestly, the biggest downside was the learning curve. It's powerful software, but it took a while to master. And the lack of app integrations is a real problem. It would be so much better if it played nicely with other apps I use.

It runs smoothly and supports our processes well. There are areas where modern UX and integrations would improve efficiency, but the core functionality is solid.

Pros

The desktop application is stable, and once configured correctly, it handles complex assemblies and work orders with precision.

Cons

The HubSpot integration doesn’t support syncing actual Orders (only Deals), which limits CRM and sales alignment.

Overall, I would suggest Fishbowl to anyone looking for an inventory management system. I can't speak highly enough of everyone that we worked with and their helpfulness in getting us up and running.

Pros

Fishbowl is easy to figure out and the implementation team is great to work with. Fishbowl was priced better than many other companies that we spoke to.

Cons

Fishbowl is slow sometimes. The initial setup and trying to figure out all the little quirks of the program take some time.

Overall, Fishbowl has been a strong solution for our operations. Once our team got through the training and initial adjustment, the platform has made our inventory processes much smoother and more accurate. It’s helped us cut down on manual errors, improve visibility across the supply chain, and gain better control of costs. While it takes some effort upfront, the payoff in efficiency has been worth it.

Pros

Fishbowl does a great job at consolidating inventory management into one platform. The real-time tracking of parts and assemblies, along with automated reorder points, has saved us from running into stockouts. I also appreciate the multi-location management—it makes it easy to keep visibility across multiple warehouses. The QuickBooks integration is seamless, so we don’t have to manually enter data twice.

Cons

The system can feel overwhelming at first—there are a lot of features, and the learning curve is a bit steep. Some reports also require customization to really fit our business needs, which means extra time setting them up. Occasionally, system updates require a little troubleshooting.

Excruciating, it took over a year to implement and almost two years in and only two months of actually using the product there are still an abundance of not well-fitting pieces to this overall puzzle. My company and I have had to make a ton of compromises to achieve what we were (in my opinion) sold on in reference to the capabilities of the program.

Pros

The support staff are very patient with me and my concerns.

Cons

The lack of customization and flexibility to fit the needs of customers.

Trying to get a new idea implemented. Example is the Transfer Orders are not editable and causes an issues for us.

### "popular inventory management system / better for manufacturing lines"

Good experience but price makes you think that for value of 2 applications, one for accounting and one for inventory you could have just one integer ERP system. You should consider Manufacturing edition, that will work more properly rather integrate Inventory Management to 3D party tool.

Pros

It is in core SAP focused for integration and QuickBooks which are popular in Texas. Fishbowl has good design and user interface. Good estimate creation capabilities. Reliable bar code processing and UPS connectivity. Excellent support. Is best for manyfacturing less applicable for trading with large number of items.

Cons

We used it in connection with QB Desktop and had errors and data dumps. Geo fencing needs set up. Custom report needs additional payments and drive space to be considered cautionusly with data is fully acceseible for requesting on server only in full module, so that limits integrations and migration if you choosed it. Good to have more invoice receiving automations for data recognition from email (AI?).

They system itself seems simple to use, however, there are a lot of settings we have to adjust that we didn't learn during training. Without "on time" assistance, it sometimes stops our work process.

Pros

Friendly staff that help us through the journey of implementation. They system interface is simple and relatively easy to use.

Cons

After Fishbowl was implemented and went live, we had millions of questions. We kind of felt like we were left behind and on our own. I called the customer support, but got the call back 50 minutes later which was kind of late. Also, the training video was kind of too many to watch and exhausting.

Overall would say it’s a great platform. They continue to make tweaks to the system as technology changes and needs of customers change.

Pros

Customer Service team is fantastic…. The ability to be able to go back and rewatch training sessions is amazing!

Cons

We switched from a box storm to fishbowl. A few of the features that we really enjoyed in box storm were not available in fishbowl, and I only found out about this after the transition.

Our implementation specialist \[sensitive content hidden\] has been great to work with. He is knowledgeable and responsive. I have led multiple system go lives at other companies and unfortunately have not always had good experiences however this has been great so far!

Pros

The ability to integrate with Quickbooks and Shopify using API's has been great! So far the tools have worked much better than expected. The inventory management capabilities are giving us visibility into our organization that were necessary to continue growing our business.

Cons

We operate our own fleet of delivery vehicles. The mobile app does not allow us to integrate Fishbowl payments into the app and accept CC payments using Fishbowls own payment gateway. Also there should be an option to automatically add payment links to invoices rather than needing to manually add to every invoice.

the support system is very good and I only sent the screenshot for my fishbowl problem and the agent knows what is the cause of the problem

Cons

time difference, when I want to schedule a meeting or support assistant, I need to wait the time where the agent will be available to support me.

Happy with Fishbowl because it is, reliable, not buggy, and provide many functions and reports.

Pros

I like the way you can have multi layers of Bill of materials, I like the way you can choose to value your inventory between, Average, fifo, and Lifo. The support team is respectful and responsive.

Cons

The link between fishbowl and QB seems to have on going breakdowns. I wish there was a way to mass update the bill of material part costs from the bill of materials report. I wish there was a report to total the bill of material wieght.

Pros

There are two things I like most about Fishbowl: its versatility & customer support. Regarding versatility, it can fit a wide range of different needs specific to different business. Regarding customer service, the reps. are knowledgeable and they will stick with you patiently until your issues are solved & questions are answered.

Cons

The only con for Fishbowl would be that not everything in Fishbowl is intuitive. Staff must get training on how to use the Software. However, it's not difficult to learn, but you must know what you are doing.
