Would recommend. Pros Turns the recruitment process into a collaborative effort that ropes in everyone effectively. The platform's intuitive, making it simpler for hiring managers, recruiters, and even candidates to get on the same page. Plus, the flexibility to customize workflows for our complex business processes is a big win. Loads of integrations with tools like DocuSign, Zoom and Linkedin as well are a big plus. Cons There are some niche integrations with more legacy-based tools which are still not present. It's best to check the integrations library before deploying this tool across your company to see if you might have any data gaps. There were candidates that stood out and those who didn't, in the end, we found some good leads. Pros What I liked most about SmartRecruiters was that it provided a different pool of candidates for us to look at for new job openings. Cons The part I liked least about SmartRecruiters was how difficult it was to find a "great" candidate. Many seemed underqualified. Review Source RM Rachel M. We recently transitioned into a different recruiting software due to an acquisition, but our team still continues to rave about how awesome SmartRecruiters was to use! Pros The best part about using SmartRecruiters is that it had a smooth layout that was appealing to use! My team always had great customer service, it was very user-friendly. Cons Sometimes the webpage would be down, which caused issues for applicants applying, but typically this issue was resolved fairly quickly. Pros It's very user-friendly and has a social media look and feel to it so most people can relate to the functionality. Cons When I export certain reports into excel, they don't always come out clean and I have to do a lot of deleted and un-merging of cells, but once I get that done, the data is very useful. Customer support is rather quick to answer. Cons Sponsored jobs on Indeed are no longer supported by SmartRecruiters. This is a pretty big deal. This means resumes for thos job ads do not land in the ATS, statistics are therefore skewed, all of which defeats the purpose of having an ATS. No one at SmartRecruiters bothered informing their customers. No one at SmartRecruiters or Indeed wants to fix this issue. You can only save one job ad as a template, so if you post the same job in multiple languages, this process isn't automated and so is a bit lengthy. Customer support is also only done via e-mail. Watch out for the fine print in their pricing structure. It isn't as was discussed during our negotiation. Reason for choosing SmartRecruiters It is bilingual, and their price was hard to beat. Cons Earlier I was able to post n number of positions, but no it has been reduced to 10 which I did not like. The adding of location is been very complicated now. Please change it as it was earlier! All in all SmartRecruiters is very middle of the road. There is nothing I particularly love or hate about it. Pros Easy to disposition candidates and enjoy the delayed disposition feature. It proved to be a solid recruitment platform with a few standout strengths. The navigation is clean and simple. The dashboard provided a clear overview of all open positions and candidate progress, which helps streamline our workflow. Pros User friendly interface without requiring a lot of intensive training Customizable workflow and collaborative hiring features allowing the ability to review candidates, lead feedback and make decisions, especially with large hiring teams Cons Customer support inconsistencies specifically for users on the lower to your pricing plan with is what we had. Cons They deleted the account for all team members, the job post that we had and all the information about the applicants, while we still had the openings, so that meant we lost all follow-ups, CVs, all communications with almost 80% of the applicants, their customer service have not given a response yet, we called them, no one available, all day long, no one! it is easy to use and perfect, we they don't delete all your profiles with no explanation! As a newly created HR department, SmartRecruiters was able to help us become more efficient in hiring and tracking our applicants--while remaining user-friendly and effective. Pros I am able to work as the only recruiter for our 160 EE company. Without it, we would not have been able to provide the high level of satisfaction to our candidates and new hires. Cons Not very Canadian friendly for extras such as paid postings, assessment tools, screening. Would like better onboarding. Smartrecruiters is good for a basic job posting system, but beyond that, it is clearly lacking. Pros I liked that we could use smartrecuiters to post positions across multiple job boards for one set fee. I also appreciated some of the functionalities like email templates, ratings etc. Cons Inability to schedule interviews with candidates and internal hiring members, inability to get notifications when a candidate has emailed us, inability to do so many basic functions. The user interface is also far too complex for such a dialed down system. It's so efficient and user friendly. Candidates can be sorted by the stage they're in (lead, interview, hire, etc.) and you can make notes about each candidate (private or public). I also love that you can invite other people you work with to your team to review candidates. They can rate them and provide feedback. The program posts to multiple job sites and allows you to pay for additional advertising if you wish to do so. Cons I've used this to share several job openings and the only con is that the program doesn't show a position once it's been closed. I didn't know that the first time I closed out a job and had to rewrite the description when I needed to re-post it. Review Source LD Lisa D. Great for screening applications and setting up interviews quickly and easily. Cons The mobile app extension to this software has a lot of opportunities to improve upon. It would be great to set up interviews directly from your phone. Pros Easy to configure and use. Extensive training isn't needed to get up and running. For those who require it, there are online tutorials for every part of the system. Cons Candidate search functionality isn't very robust. It is limited to predefined fields (e.g., location, degree, etc.) instead of allowing customer to define the fields from the candidate profile to use for searching and sorting (e.g., technical expertise, field of study, industry-specific terms, etc.). Cons If people apply for multiple jobs over years or months, SmartRecruiters does differentiate between resumes or other uploads. Customer service was not the best when I had questions and I couldn't cancel jobs after the platform costed money. I was not notified about it costing until I tried to login one day and still had people calling me a year later about jobs floating around that I had posted on SR. Pros This used to be a free product and then one day it went sky high on price. I used it quite heavily but found it difficult to get jobs to free job boards. Cons didn't post jobs to free job boards, or wasn't the most efficient in doing so Review Source Morgan H. Using it for job hunting and the notifications/ application tracking options work very well. Cons My only gripe is that for some reason applying via LinkedIn or even adding in LinkedIn just didn't work for me. Tried clearing my cookies, using incognito, anything to try to get it to work. Other than that everything else about it works well.
