Pros: The interface is one of my favorite aspects of Stripe. It's attractive and intuitive and I can find things easily. The learning curve was very small.

Cons: I'd like there to be more opportunity to build and trigger specific types of emails without having to use a separate emailing system. But, this isn't email software so I can understand.

Overall: Stripe is a great piece of software with lots of flexibility for integration with other tools and into your own system.

Pros: - User-friendly, very easy to set up and to integrate with 3rd party platforms.
- Young co-founders with great ideas to drive the company forward

Cons: - Still only available in approximately 25 countries with a few more at preview level. Needs to have a higher penetration level.

Pros: Stripe does everything you need it to do if you're running an online business. If you have Stripe and Paypal, then you're off to a great start on taking payments for almost any type of product you are selling.

Cons: It's difficult to set up. After many tests with real payments, nothing went through and it was a long process to figure out the issue. We had to settle with only taking payments through Paypal for a while.

Good software for payments, integrates into the online world very well.

Pros: I have used stripe for payments online a few times on various websites and it integrates great into your site.

Pros: Transaction fees are very competitive with other similar companies, and the are also informative when anything comes through that looks fishy. Processing of all car types is also rather nice.

Cons: The process for fighting transaction chargebacks is rather tedious and time consuming. There can also only be so many administrators even when there should be multiple.

Pros: Excellent developer tools, and it's a great value and a predictable expense because it's a flat rate fee, detailed reporting dashboard for metrics, supports multiple kinds of currency, auto-deposits via ACH

Pros: Before Stripe, we used complicated payment gateway+merchant account solutions that required PCI compliance, had rudimentary recurring billing options and were a headache to setup. Stripe makes accepting payments easy. Stripe's reporting features are better than most payment gateway providers and the integration options are so easy and flexible that a developer who has never worked with Stripe before can get a simple payment system setup in a few hours.

Cons: I'd like to see an improved Coupon system in Stripe in the future. Right now coupon codes created in Stripe are for recurring subscriptions only and cannot be used on one off purchases. This requires that whenever we need this feature, we need to build our own coupon system and explain to product owners that the coupons in Stripe will not work for them in their situation.

Pros: It was simple to set up, and at no time in the last three years have I run into problems with Stripe. I won't name names except to say it rhymes with Paypal and the issues I have with them are never ending and I have yet to have an issue with Stripe. They handle payments like a champ, no matter which country they come from and they've never frozen my account for some silly reason. It just keeps doing what it's supposed to and I'm grateful for that.

Cons: Maybe the reporting could be a little better? But not by much, there's just often a bunch of data and codes I don't understand when I look at payments for example. I would prefer not to see them unless they are relevant to me knowing where the numbers are at.

Pros: Prior to Strip, I was a Braintree customer. Braintree was a really simple payment processing platform. However, setting up payment processing still took weeks, and many support calls. With Stripe we were up in days and didn't have to talk with any support reps.

Cons: You get what you get, and can't negotiate price. This typically isn't an issue for new startups, but if you run a mature business in a mature market with razor thin margins it could be an issue.

Pros: Stripe seamlessly integrates into various softwares and websites, and streamlines our subscription renewals and initial charges.

Cons: Their chargeback policies are difficult. If a customer opens a bank claim, the likelihood of retaining the money that was paid for your product is very slim (even with delivery evidence). Pros: Like many payment gateways, Stripe integrates easily into the major E-commerce solutions on the market. When launching my first online store, Stripe was a great solution to accept credit cards securely. The platform is very user-friendly and offers easy reporting so you can stay on top of your books. The credit card processing rates for Stripe are industry standard.

Cons: Depending on your preferred way to get paid, other solutions have emerged over the past year or so that offer more payment options for customers. If you're looking to offer customers other way to pay, such as Paypal, you may be able to find a better solution.

Pros: We were attracted to Stripe because of their extremely thoughtful and well-documented API. Stripe typically works as you'd expect as a developer interacting with their API (no small feat), and we're often pleasantly surprised when we go looking for some new feature and find out it already exists. Stripe's support is also top-notch, and the odd time we're unable to accomplish something ourselves we've usually been able to get there with the help of support. The product evolves quickly and keeps getting better.

Cons: There's not much to complain about with Stripe the biggest pain points are usually with things that are somewhere outside of Stripe's control. For example, the process involving customer chargebacks is a bit confusing and rigid, but this is mostly dictated by the requirements of the card issuers Stripe is dealing with.

Overall: Stripe allowed us to get up and running processing payments quickly, and their support has helped us get past any problems we've run into along the way.

Pros: I like that it's affordable, easy to use, easy to manage the site, quick customer service, pays out quickly.

Cons: Really there isn't anything I don't like....but if I had to nitpick I'd say that I would like them to pay out slightly faster than they do.

Overall: They provide an easy way for our customers to purchase and pay for our product - that's all we could ask for.

Pros: It's easy to use, I just filled in all the information & connected it to my bank. I even have a separate account for my freelance business than my e-course product sales to make accounting easier

Pros: I've spent hours researching chargeback protection, and even selected providers for that. Stripe makes it very easy to implement every last suggestion the chargeback protection companies suggest, and even comes with an AI security filter to block transactions based on your business logic. (It's called Radar.)

We still have yet to launch our private beta product which integrates with Stripe, so my experience with Stripe is limited. However, the fact that they offer so much security is 95% of the reason why I chose Stripe.

Cons: The thing that makes me nervous about Stripe is that I don't know they handle the chargeback process. Companies such as Authorize.net, will throw away your account after just one chargeback instead of investigating the situation properly for their clients who bring them money. Hopefully Stripe doesn't play those games.

Overall: So far so good with Stripe!

Pros: It just makes everything a lot simpler. With services like PayPal, you get directed to a different page and it just feels so awkward and clunky, but with Stripe the experience feels much more integrated and part of the website it's embedded in. The charges are also really reasonable, and it covers a decent number of currencies.

Cons: There are still some currencies that it doesn't handel, but generally speaking I haven't had any issues with it!

Overall: Allowed me to pay for services swiftly and easily.

Pros: Stripe is very powerful, and therefore fully customisable for any business to create the way they want the payments and subscription processes they way. I like how we can theme our brand and site to look however we like, so that a user doesn't feel like they are being taken away from our website when purchasing.

Cons: There is a steep learning curve for Stripe, and you really need confidence and some good coding skills (or coding team) to really make the most of Stripe's systems. Plus the lack of live chat/phone support is very very frustrating! But a bit of commitment and hard work goes a long way and there are a number of forums to rely upon for support when email support is normally 24 hours or just under in terms of response time.

Pros: Stripe offers competitive transaction fees, a killer API and no monthly fees. It has, for the most part, replaced PayPal for us. We still offer PayPal for the customers who prefer to pay using their account or for those who have no other option but Stripe is our go-to.

Cons: Because we operate outside of the US our rolling pay schedule is 7 days V. 2 days which is a drag but perhaps this will change over time. No phone support is also a bit of an inconvenience

Comments: Overrated and a horrible value for your money

Cons: Our software chose Stripe as our dedicated payments processor because they promised superior customer service and competitive rates for our clients, but this was a mirage.Stripe abandoned us once we selected them as our payments processor. The Sales team disappeared once we signed a contract and support was limited to emails and chat - absolutely pathetic. Stripe nickled and dimed our clients and our company to death. During the sale process, Stripe promised to meet our beat our clients' rates, but in actuality, they completely screwed us. Clients of ours that were processing over per month were quoted rates + transaction fee. Stripe treated everyone of our clients as if they were a new business with no sales history. We have since abandoned Stripe for CardConnect - this is the best decision we have ever made!

Pros: We are a small service-based business with close to 100 clients receiving services in a given 2-week invoice cycle. Previously, we either had to collect checks one at a time or go through our bank's payment request system. With the latter, there was no integration with the platform we use to run our business and generate invoices, so we had to individually request payment from each of our clients, one at a time.

The platform we use to run our business then linked up with Stripe to enable our clients to pay via credit card. Not only has it exponentially increased the efficiency of our invoicing process, but our clients are happier! There was nothing we needed to set up on the back-end either. We just process our invoices with our platform and Stripe handles the rest instantaneously.

Cons: The delay between when we successfully charge a client's credit card and when the money ultimately ends up in our bank account could be shortened, but it's relatively standard for the industry.

The fees could be reduced, but again, standard for the industry and also well worth it for the benefit we receive by using Stripe. The time we save with Stripe is worth much more than the fees we pay.

Overall: Massive time savings, efficiency and organization with our small business' invoicing/payments process.

Pros: Stripe easily integrates with Woocommerce and with a click of a button it can add Apple Pay and Google Pay to your website. These features make for such a quick checkout experience. One feature I greatly appreciate is the fraud alert which protects our business from possible chargeback fraud. The system will reject or warn you of transactions that have a history of fraud. The customer service is excellent and if you ever have a chargeback issue they quickly notify you and have a process to help provide documentation to the disputers financial institution. Moreover, deposits are received fast and their fees are reasonable.

Cons: It does not automatically integrate with my accounting platform Xero Accounting. The ability to have same day transfers to your bank account would be something I would pay a small fee for.

Pros: One of the reasons that we switched to stripe is their reasonable fees and their newish ACH option. We have so many failed cards happening monthly. We are not going to start offer discounts to people that log in to their bank and start paying via ACH. We are hoping that our customer take the offer as this will make us lots more money as cards expire in the future.

Cons: I am not part of the technical team that is implementing it into our site so I am sure they would have something to complain about like they always do but from an Admin perspective I have no complaints so far.

Pros: I have used Stripe for product sales on three websites. It is generally easy to set up and works smoothly. Email acknowledgements alert me when an order has been placed. The percentage "cut" that they take from sales is reasonable and in line with what other services are charging.

Cons: Stripe's reporting function is not great -- there is no one clear place to go for, say, a monthly summary of orders paid, fees taken, and payouts made. Instead, this information is scattered in various places and it doesn't work well for me from a business perspective. There is also a delay of several days before payouts are made.

Overall: A good, fairly easy to implement e-commerce product.

Pros: When I was looking for a new payment processor for my eCommerce website I found Stripe and I am glad that I did! I was looking for three main things and they were:

- Perfectly integrates with WooCommerce - Check!
- Great processing rates - Check!
- Apple Pay - Check!

Stripe has all of these things + more.

Plus the appearance and dashboards are super clean and engaging, which only helps the entire experience. I like the app too!

Cons: The biggest pain point so far has been the chargeback process. Unfortunately, a buyer scammed me and I lost the chargeback appeal. The team at Stripe was not very helpful, but I realize that their hands are tied slightly. I am just frustrated that scammers can get through and still be considered a safe payment to accept.

Pros: We know exactly what we owe to Stripe for each transaction processed so it's easy to budget and set pricing accordingly, they accept payments from all over the world and we have a lot of international purchasers/customers, and it was easy to set them up as our payment processor by following simple step-by-step instructions.

Cons: We've had two customers dispute charges, thus far (neither were valid) but submitting the correct information and documentation through the platform was a bit clunky. For the first one, some of the documents didn't upload and therefore it was rule in favor of the client, yet we did not receive an error message, it still allow us to submit and we did not receive an automated email saying that some of the documents weren't uploaded or processed correctly.

Pros: This is a really helpful application for instant payment and transactions. It can be used in any type of business that involves online transactions/payment method.

Cons: The software/product is very simple and straight forward to its function that I can not think of any cons.

Pros: The functionality of the program is easy to use and train people on. It's a great way to receive reoccuring payments if you have house accounts.

Cons: It can be a bit difficult trying to find specific features and you have to search for them in a roundabout way. It also doesn't integrate fully with different products.

Pros: I like that it processes cards and EFT. It also sends info directly to our CRM, which is helpful and is less data entry for us at the end of the day

Cons: If an EFT fails to process several days later, I literally have to track down 'failed transactions' and have to go back to my CRM to negate that transaction. It shouldn't show as a processed transaction until the money goes through or doesn't go through. Either way, don't show a positive if it will fail later.

Pros: We've been using Stripe for 3+ years. It was easy to set up and start integrating with our sales funnels right away. Works great.

Cons: The one drawback is it takes several days for money to transfer to another account. I'm so used to instant payments in my account like Paypal is. But that's not a huge issue.

Overall: Their back office has everything I need to track payments, see balances being transferred, etc.

We integrate Stripe into our software so our customers can accept payments.

Pros: It is very user friendly and integrates well with our software. The website is easy to navigate and find payers & their payments. Credit card payments and refunds are fairly fast.

Cons: It takes close to seven business days for our customers who are accepting direct debit, to receive their money. It used to take five business days at most but now it seems to take longer.

Pros: Stripe does a really good job at easing the setup and use for payment processing. They easily integrated with Xero, my accounting software platform, and I had them up and running within 5 minutes. The cost of using them is fairly consistent with other providers, so no complaints there. I don't use them in a brick and mortar setting, so I can't speak to how well it works in that environment, but strictly from a payment processing one, they are pretty solid.

Cons: I don't know if this is a bank issue or a Stripe one, but it takes 5+ business days to receive an ACH or bank transfer payment which seems long these days. I feel there should be a better turnaround on this.

Overall: They are my payment processor for all of my business invoices for my accounting software.

I use stripe as a payment processor on my website. It's been flawless.

Pros: Stripe is easy to set up, easy to incorporate into my webstore, and has an easy to use interface. Stipe has flawlessly processed all of my transactions and delivered payment to my bank automatically.

Cons: Though Stripe is competitive with other payment processors, I would like to see the fees be slightly less than they are. Other than that, I haven't had one single problem.

Pros: I like how organized the interface is and how easy it is to look up different transactions. Lots of different payment options for our customers.

Overall: The dispute resolution process is very vague. We win some, we lose most and there isn't a super clear idea why.

Pros: Its lower rate to PayPal makes a large difference to the amount you get back from your customers, without having to offload the fee burden on them which is great.

Pros: Tightly integrates with Shopify so it's the most convenient payment gateway....aka "Shopify Payments."

Cons: The "risk analyst" who contacted me was abrasive. After being a customer for 3 years, the payments account was immediately disabled without a grace period to provide the requested documentation.

Pros: the flexibility of getting credit card payments in addition to VERY easy paypal invoicing.
Back end communications on invoicing and paperwork for both payer and payee.

Cons: when there were questions as to set up or process of learning the platform, customer service was slow, taking a day or longer to respond. Not a very easy tool to set up.

Overall: It was functionally appropriate for clients that requested to not use paypal invoicing. It was not very easy to set up, and needed several calls to fully set up properly and maintain. If i had to do it over, I would stand firm on insisting that clients use paypal, rather that implement stripe.

Pros: It's relatively user-friendly but there will be times when you need basic coding or an engineer to set something up.

Cons: Limited functionality and analytics. They've improved this over the last few months with their latest release but there's some obvious reporting that is missing. Better customer support would be welcomed as well. I'd even pay for some handholding to make things a bit easier for me.

Pros: I love the fact that it's so easy for any customer support agent in a business to be able to review the data on Stripe and get the information they need to solve any payment inquiry.

Cons: Chargebacks are on you, unfortunately and Stripe charges too many fees for marketplaces and/or connected accounts.

Pros: I switched from Braintree to Stripe because Stripe offers instant debit card payouts for merchants, and as far as I know, no one else offers that feature.

Stripe has pretty much any feature you could want from a payment provider, and Stripe is generally straightforward to setup and use.

Cons: The documentation can be very frustrating, as there are many things that aren't documented in the API docs. Most of my complaints using Stripe come from trying to figure out how to do something simple, and neither customer support or the API docs were useful in figuring out how to do it.

Customer support can also be obtuse. They generally seem poorly educated about their own product/terminology, and when something isn't working, they're rarely helpful in giving insights as to why. Luckily, I haven't had a huge number of problems, but when I have, customer support hasn't necissarily been helpful.
