### "Reliable recurring billing that stays out of the way"

August 17, 2026

4.0

Positive overall. Stripe is the piece of our payments infrastructure we think about least, which is exactly what you want from a payment processor. It's handled thousands of subscription renewals across a multi-year membership program with essentially zero processor-side failures. I'd choose it again.

Pros

Stripe has been rock-solid for processing recurring subscription payments on our membership and training business. We run WooCommerce Subscriptions with multiple installment plan variants, and Stripe handles the recurring billing, card updates, and retries without drama.

Cons

Processing fees add up at volume, especially on installment plans where the same customer generates twelve separate transactions instead of one. Dunning and failed-payment recovery is functional but basic out of the box. We've had to build our own reporting to identify and act on at-risk subscribers rather than relying on Stripe's native tooling.

### "Stripe Makes Payments Easy"

August 24, 2026

5.0

The overall experience has been a positive one. It makes the process of accepting credit cards and transferring the funds to our business account super simple.

Pros

We have been using Stripe as an integration into our registration system to accept credit card payments for our courses for about 6 years now. We have not experienced a single bug or issue in that time. The dashboard is relatively easy to use and the fees that Stripe charges seem fairly in alignment with others.

Cons

I think the main dashboard could be a little simpler in some cases. The left navigation bar and the gear icon are really the go to spots, but sometimes it isn't the most intuitive where to find things. Using the search feature is sometimes necessary, so it's nice that they have that additional support.

### "Dont Risk Your Company Using Stripe"

August 6, 2026

1.0

Watch out for this company. Our experience has been absolutely terrible. Out of the blue, we received threatening emails stating that they were going to stop processing our payments and close our account, despite us having done nothing wrong. When we called them to find out what was happening, we were told there was "nothing to worry about", yet they continued sending intimidating emails demanding documents and personal information before they would even discuss the matter with us. The whole experience felt very unprofessional and concerning. As a business, you simply can't afford to have your payment provider putting your company at risk like this. There are plenty of other reputable payment providers available, so we switched immediately. Based on our experience, I would not recommend trusting this company with your business.

Pros

nothing at all. very bad company to deal with. we don thave anythign nice to say about them we wantto worn people about them

Cons

the threating emails we got about closing our accoutn when we did nothing wrong . we called them and they said our account was fine and we have an email form them stating this

### "A reliable, developer-friendly payment solution that scales with your business"

May 22, 2026

5.0

verall, Stripe is one of the most powerful and reliable payment processing platforms on the market. It strikes a great balance between ease of use for non-technical users and flexibility for developers. Despite the fee structure and occasional support delays, the platform's reliability, feature set, and global reach make it an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes. I would definitely recommend Stripe to any company looking for a modern, scalable payment solution.

Pros

Stripe has been a game-changer for our business. The setup process was incredibly smooth — we were able to start accepting payments within just a few hours. What I appreciate the most is the developer-friendly API and the extensive documentation, which makes integration straightforward, whether you're handling one-off payments, The wide range of supported payment methods (cards, SEPA, BANK transfers, etc.)

Cons

The transaction fees can be difficult to manage, especially for businesses with high volumes , connected Customer support is mostly handled via email or chat, and while the team is professional, response times can sometimes be slow for urgent issues. A more direct phone support option would be appreciated.

### "Great for invoicing"

September 3, 2026

I enjoy Stripe payments over Square. I think Stripe is overall really easy to use and simple to navigate.

Pros

Stripe is really easy to use and super easy to customize for invoicing and subscriptions. I find that I haven't had any bugs or issues.

Cons

A bit difficult and not intuitive when you need to change details of the LLC you're billing for. Also, a bit confusing when taxing customers.

### "Perfectly Fine Payment System"

September 1, 2026

3.0

Overall, stripe is a perfectly good payment tool that holds its own among many competitors. Though it has its cons, it has many pros that it offers for the cost. It is especially popular as the underlying payment system in other software, such as Tax Dome.

Pros

It is fairly simple to use, descriptions can be added to invoices, and payment information can be saved! Having a credit card on file makes it much easier to take payment. Additionally, card fees can now be place on the payer rather than the company.

Cons

The most annoying part about Stripe is that the editing that can be done to an invoice becomes severely limited when it is partially paid by the client on their end. One must post a payment from outside of the client's profile and later apply the credit, and late fees cannot be added to the partially pd invoice. The other slight annoyance is that debit card fees cannot be placed on the payer, though credit card fees can.

### "Stripe- works solid for small businesses"

July 16, 2026

4.0

overall, I'm right in the middle...between the difficult setup, to the lag in getting payment, eh, but it works very good and my customers are comfortable with it, so it's not all negative at all.

Pros

Stripe is great at allowing my customers to pay online for their bills. I like that it seems secure and the customer's data is secure and safe as well.

Cons

The integration into the website form was extremely difficult, but once it is setup it works solid. Also, you have to wait 2 days to get paid, yet my old processor paid next day, so that takes some adjustment- not a deal breaker, but is it really necessary? They just offered next-day payment, but you have to pay extra to get it! That seems unfair to small businesses.

### "Secure, Simple, and Seamless Payment Processing"

July 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Stripe has been very positive. It has provided a reliable, secure, and efficient payment solution that makes it easy to accept payments and manage transactions as our business grows. The platform is easy to integrate, offers excellent payment processing capabilities, and provides clear visibility into sales, refunds, and customer payments. The reliability and security of Stripe give both us and our customers confidence when completing transactions. While transaction fees can become a consideration as payment volume increases, the convenience, features, and trust Stripe provides make it a valuable tool for running and scaling an online business.

Pros

What I like most about Stripe is how seamless and reliable the payment experience is for both businesses and customers. It makes accepting payments simple, secure, and efficient, allowing us to focus on growing our business rather than managing complex payment systems. Stripe provides a wide range of payment options, detailed transaction information, and easy integrations with other platforms, making it a flexible solution for businesses of all sizes. The dashboard is intuitive and provides clear insights into payments, refunds, and customer transactions. I also appreciate Stripe’s strong security features and global capabilities, which give customers confidence when making purchases and allow businesses to scale internationally with ease.

Cons

One of the main drawbacks of Stripe is that transaction fees can become a significant cost as a business grows and processes higher volumes of payments. While the fees are competitive for the service provided, larger businesses may find the costs add up over time. Another area for improvement is that some advanced features and settings can feel more technical and may require additional knowledge to fully understand and configure. For smaller businesses or first-time users, navigating certain aspects of the platform may take some time. Overall, Stripe is a reliable and powerful payment solution, but reducing complexity for beginners and offering more cost-effective options for growing businesses would make the platform even stronger.

### "Confidently You "

August 23, 2026

I have a business and personal account set up with Stripe. It has been a smooth sailing experience. It was not hard to set up the account and not hard to get the card swipe that you can take with you. The customer service is great if you have any questions. They are fast at response time.

Pros

It was offered with my new business and has a free option. There is a credit card swipe you can take with you,

Cons

How much it cost when you use the card machine. I like that you can take it with you just that they take so much out when it processes.

Overall I have had a wonderful experience using Stripe's services. It has truly been a life saver for me.

Pros

I like that Stripe accepts all major debit/credit cards!!!!! It also is very beginner-friendly and has a lot of great features to help you along the way!!!!

Cons

The number one thing that I consider a con is Stripe does not have a great customer support system!!!! It is very hard to get in touch with anyone via phone. All you basically have to rely on is chat and email for support.

### "Stripe is the best solution if you are starting out with online payments."

January 2, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with stripe is very good. I'm still looking for cheaper solutions out there but I can say that it's solid and easy to manage.

Pros

Stripe has by far the easiest setup to start getting payments online. Way easier than PayPal and with less restriction. Overall is the best solution if you are starting out on getting payed online.

Cons

Fees are high though. 50 cents for every 15 bucks. But this is a common problem. PayPal Fees are even higher. Stripe also is not a merchant of records.

### "Easy pay system "

May 5, 2026

So far using it everyday. No problem. It is a good addition to our customer service system, where they can pay bills online.

Pros

It is pretty easy to set up for a first time. Not too expensive. Not sure about customer support, because it was really to set up at the first time. Card payments are really easy. Especially we love that our customers can tap their debit card or credit card on business phone and make a payment. No need to buy any POS systems from them. The app is fully customizable, you can choose what day and time to get money on your account. So far didn’t had any bugs or issues with the system, works great.

Cons

### "Reliable payment processing with strong invoicing features, but slightly slow payouts"

April 11, 2026

4.0

Overall, Stripe has been a reliable and professional payment solution for my business. It handles card payments smoothly and makes it easy to send invoices and payment links to clients. The ability to customise invoices with branding is a strong advantage and helps maintain a professional appearance. The main drawback is the delay in receiving funds, which can take up to three business days, which is slightly slower than ideal for day-to-day cash flow. However, the system is stable, secure, and generally very easy to use once set up.

Pros

•Very easy to create and send payment links •Competitive transaction fees •Highly customisable invoices, including the ability to add branding and logos •Smooth and reliable card payment processing •Clear and functional user interface

Cons

•Payouts can take around three business days, which feels a bit slow for cash flow •Some features can take time to fully understand for new users •Occasional complexity in navigating the broader dashboard

### "Definitely Beats others!"

March 31, 2026

4.0

Stripe has made it possible for me to launch and test multiple digital products without needing a complicated financial setup or a full development team. As someone building structured tools like Identity Architect frameworks, digital reports, and downloadable software, I needed a payment system that felt professional but didn’t slow down execution. Stripe strikes that balance extremely well. The biggest advantage is how quickly you can go from idea to checkout. Payment links, hosted checkout pages, and simple product setup allow you to start selling almost immediately. For founders working on early-stage products or iterating quickly, that speed matters more than anything. I was able to validate demand and capture real customers without getting stuck in technical complexity. Stripe also grows with you. What starts as a simple payment link can later become subscriptions, gated digital downloads, or fully integrated checkout flows. This flexibility is especially helpful when products evolve over time, which they inevitably do. Having everything in one ecosystem reduces friction and avoids the need to constantly switch tools as your business matures. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, making it easy to track payments, refunds, and customer activity without feeling overwhelmed. Even when using more advanced features like invoicing or product variations, the interface stays relatively straightforward. Compared to many financial tools, Stripe feels designed for builders rather than accountants. Another strong point is how easily Stripe fits into a broader digital workflow. It integrates smoothly with website builders, email platforms, and automation tools, making it practical for founders creating structured online offerings rather than physical retail. Customer support can occasionally take time depending on the issue, and some deeper customization features may require technical guidance if you want to build something very complex. However, for most founders launching digital products or services, the core functionality is accessible and reliable without needing extensive development resources. Overall, Stripe removes a major barrier to entry for entrepreneurs who want to move quickly and present a polished, trustworthy checkout experience. It supports experimentation while still providing infrastructure strong enough to scale.

Pros

Very easy to start accepting payments quickly •Clean, intuitive dashboard •Works well for digital products, frameworks, and online services •Flexible as offerings evolve (one-time, subscription, gated access) •Professional checkout experience builds trust •Integrates well with modern website and email tools

Cons

Support response times can vary •Some advanced customization may require technical setup •Fees are standard but noticeable at higher volume

### "Payment Tool that can be depended on for tourism needs."

June 11, 2026

5.0

We have made it easy to pay with stripes for our business particularly for our International guests. Although it's had a few minor glitches, the platform generally works well, and it's making it easy for us to run our business transactions. It's a strong option for a business like ours that need to heavily depend on internet bookings and solid financial instruments.

Pros

Stripe’s efficient credit card processing system is essential for our online booking platform. Being a mid-size tourism company, it is a huge plus to have something that functions seamlessly with multiple currencies. The mobile app is convenient if I have to check transactions on a crazy busy weekend. They really have a transparent pricing model which makes budgeting easier for our department.

Cons

In rare instances, we have faced issues while syncing the transaction data with our ERP software and that may lead to some time delay in payments being reconciled on our site. Customer support is responsive but can be faster in case of urgent issues. Some of the advanced features were not intuited by our team as quickly as we'd hoped, either.

Pros

I would say stripe is the best for any card payments. I used it everyday in my time as a business owner. It’s so versatile and easy to use. I also could integrate it into my online shop.

Cons

### "Stripe: The Payment Processor of Choice for CAS Firms"

June 1, 2026

5.0

Overall there is not another payment processor that I would go with, especially for the space that I'm in. As a tech forward CAS firm the big take a ways are ease of use and functionality. AS long as payments are collected and made in a timely manner that is easy for our clients to use, then all is good.

Pros

Stripe is one of the core tools at my accounting firm. It is the backbone of our payments system. Whether we need to accept ach or card payments, Stripe allows us to accept any of those options. It is easy to setup and clients have an easy time making and saving their payment methods.

Cons

There is not too much wrong with Stripe. Although there are fair reasons for the processing and disbursement of ACH payments collected, it could be quicker or at the very least there should be options for faster speeds even for a fee. This way it is up to the user if they want quicker disbursement.

Pros

I like the ease of use. I like the quick turnaround from application process, to collecting payments from customers

Cons

From the start to the finish of projects, I am considering time and pricing constantly. There's enough for me to worry about when working with clients, so having Stripe as a tool in my belt is a fantastic way to de-fantasize pricing and free my brain up for real creative work.

Pros

Stripe is extremely easy to use for both personal and professional use-cases. As a freelancer, it is fantastic to be able to assign services, automatically allow my clients to pay for them, and even allows me to utilize retainer situations.

Cons

Since I make money with sales at United Empire Miniatures, having smooth transaction services is a must here. I would say Stripe ticks all these boxes easily enough as the process is quite straightforward, credit cards work well here and the price matches perfectly the services.

Pros
