The main drawback is the delay in receiving funds, which can take up to three business days, which is slightly slower than ideal for day-to-day cash flow. I was able to validate demand and capture real customers without getting stuck in technical complexity. Stripe also grows with you. My overall experience with Stripe is positive, the software successfully collects payments and automatically pays-out into the bank account at regular intervals. I am able to easily obtain payment information from my login and manage other users so they can gather required data.

Pros

I use Stripe to collect payments from various sources. We use Stripe because it is a widely trusted global payment collection software. We can use it for online payments and also in-person on a card machine which is helpful for in-person events. There are transaction fees applied however, there is no monthly charge. Stripe is easy to use with a dashboard showing your key figures. It is easy to navigate and find payment information, and reports which we use to verify income with our auditors. It offers a dispute section where you can easily return or refund payments should the need arrive. It creates a customer data base, storing information securely, and analyse is available. A test-mode function can also be used.

Cons

The transaction fee is quite high, and we were not able to negotiate a discount, however it was still deemed the best value for money for what we needed at the time, and we have no plans to move away from Stripe. We have experienced no bugs or issues with the transaction volumes we have.

My overall experience with stripe is very good. I'm still looking for cheaper solutions out there but I can say that it's solid and easy to manage.

Pros

Stripe has by far the easiest setup to start getting payments online. Way easier than PayPal and with less restriction. Overall is the best solution if you are starting out on getting payed online.

Cons

Fees are high though. 50 cents for every 15 bucks. But this is a common problem. PayPal Fees are even higher. Stripe also is not a merchant of records.

Experience is mixed. The ease of integrating the tool into other software is the only reason I used to recommend my clients use it, and have myself. Whenever having to discuss issues, their support seems to lack the knowledge I believe is needed for properly helping customers. In addition, their handling of my recent dispute has given me little faith in using tools like them.

Pros

Integration with other tools allows me to easily add payments seamlessly into websites and other software without hurting my brand.

Cons

Customer Service. I would not recommend Stripe. They mishandled a dispute in my case. A client requested a refund after work had already been underway for several days, falsely claiming that no work had been completed. I provided evidence of the website work, message records, screenshots, and my written refund policy. I also documented the client’s refusal to communicate and move the project forward, which created the delays. Despite publicly posting my work, the client continued to claim that I had done nothing. Stripe still ruled in the client’s favor, despite the documentation provided.

Overall, this tool has been a saving grace for credit card processing. Without Stripe's efficient system, I would be losing money!

Pros

Hands down the best card payment solution in existence. Processing credit card payments through Stripe is so simple. It is incredibly easy to use and has a whole heap of information available from customer support. Their engineering teams are always resolving bugs and issues...and quickly!

Cons

It is a powerful tool and can be a little cumbersome integrating into some solutions. Their APIs are very well engineered, but can be overwhelming to some. Thankfully their customer support is there to assist!

Awful, they are difficult to reach and have no customer service. They take out 40% of our funds which is causing our small business to go out of business. Stay away from their services!

Pros

Nothing honestly, they are hard to reach and zero customer support. They take out reserves at will and keep your money. I am not sure how they still operate as a legitimate business. This is coming from a client that has been with them for 14 yrs.

Cons

No customer support, no contact info, not helpful, reserves with our money, I can go on, but it won't allow me to type everything. I am sad that we have been with them for this long with their lack of customer service. They should be out of business!!!

### "Stripe worked fine and did not crash my ERP"

I know that previously we would receive checks in the mail (which were usually late or missing), but now the QR codes simply work. I am writing this from a pile of Pizza Boxes because my desk is a disaster and I just want to go home, but Stripe allowed me to avoid entering the same data into SAP for 5 hours. Also, it does flag fraudulent activity which is great during the holiday season. Receivable Turnover is faster.

Pros

I was really impressed that there has been no failure of the integration. It works pretty well and accepts ACH and credit cards with minimal configuration and the funds are deposited every day. So far, that has been a relief. The support have also been surprisingly responsive to issues that we encounter and the customer portal allows customers to make payments without having to leave the payment page, which is nice, although it isn’t anything revolutionary.

Cons

Unfortunately, the Remittance Emails are garbage because they don’t indicate which deposits are included in the email so I have to guess. We had to turn off the Auto-Imports because it duplicated all of the entries in the ledger and that was an absolute nightmare to manually remove. The syncing between the website and the module can be very inflexible at times, which is frustrating.

Overall, I enjoy using Stripe. It is easy to use for clients. I have not received any complaints about the program from customers.

Pros

I love that Stripe links to all of the various platforms I use for my business. It is easy to use and is an easy way to accept credit card payments anywhere.

Cons

I do not like that there are multiple separate accounts with the same name under my business's Stripe account. I wish they were listed with the account they are linked to. I have left some open that could be closed, because I cannot tell which ones need to be deleted.

So far using it everyday. No problem. It is a good addition to our customer service system, where they can pay bills online.

Pros

It is pretty easy to set up for a first time. Not too expensive. Not sure about customer support, because it was really to set up at the first time. Card payments are really easy. Especially we love that our customers can tap their debit card or credit card on business phone and make a payment. No need to buy any POS systems from them. The app is fully customizable, you can choose what day and time to get money on your account. So far didn’t had any bugs or issues with the system, works great.

Cons

When first time I was trying to find information about how much does it cost it was hard. Also Really wanted to talk to real person for customer support or sales agent. Didn’t found their phone number. There is a bug sometimes when you using

I would say stripe is the best for any card payments. I used it everyday in my time as a business owner. It’s so versatile and easy to use. I also could integrate it into my online shop.

Stripe provides a decent amount of features and ways to accept payments for your business. The eye catching feature for me was the ability to use a nfc capable smartphone to take payments with tap to pay instead of having to use a stripe terminal.

Pros

The setup process was quick and easy with only a few questions about your business and how stripe can tailor its services to your business type.

Cons

Navigating around can take a bit to understand. There are alot of different tabs to explore but once you become familiar with the layout its a breeze.

Easy to set up and works in the background payments are transferred to our bank and show up in our accounting software automatically

Pros

We like how we can intergrate stripe with our accounting software allowing clients to pay by debit card or credit card direct from their invoice. There is a small processing fee but we feel this is worth it as it gives clients more payment options and encourages them to pay immediately. We have also used stripe when selling merchandise online. We had no issues setting this up and have had no bugs.

Cons

There are small processing fees which is expected. You have to way up the cost with the speed of payments.

From the start to the finish of projects, I am considering time and pricing constantly. There's enough for me to worry about when working with clients, so having Stripe as a tool in my belt is a fantastic way to de-fantasize pricing and free my brain up for real creative work.

Pros

Stripe is extremely easy to use for both personal and professional use-cases. As a freelancer, it is fantastic to be able to assign services, automatically allow my clients to pay for them, and even allows me to utilize retainer situations.

Cons

Stripe can be as simple or as complex as you'd like to make it. It is worth investing some time up-front to set up the most efficient backend as possible. Future you will thank you.

Really like Stripe. It's very easy to set up and let it run, however there are a couple issues that as long as you use it how they want it to, it's fine. It doesn't feel as seamless as some of the other types of this software

Pros

Stripe is really easy to use and set up, as well as the ability to have it integrate into different aspects of your business. I like the ability to set up a Stripe feed in Xero or to create invoices so that when payments come in it will automatically mark the payment to the invoice

Cons

I haven't found a simple way to get invoices created in Stripe into Xero without manually creating every one. There are also slightly hidden fees like 'automatic taxes' which took about 10 minutes to figure out what it was for and then subsequently turn off that 'feature'

We have been using stripe fir over 9 years and never had any major issues. We only uad a snall issue and the team at stripe helped and cleared it right away. Other than the cost we are happy with it.

Pros

It works well for our online payment services. It provides you notice via email when someone makes a purchase.

Cons

It costing is kind of high in our opinion. We pay close to 4% fees off the total cost of the service.

I've used Stripe for over a year with multiple transactions, refunds, additional fees and I've had no issue receiving payments. All transactions have processed within the time frame provided.

Pros

Stripe's payment processing tool is very ease to use. It didn't take long to set up. With their two factor authentication and encryption, I felt confident that my transactions were safe.

Cons

The fees. All processors have them, and you can pass them on to customers so it is just a part of the industry. I've researched many vendors promising no fees, but they always seem to work them in.
