### "Great value payment platform with fast payouts"

April 1, 2026

5.0

Overall, Stripe has been a great fit for our business. It’s dependable, flexible, and supports growth without adding too much operational complexity. The instant payout feature alone makes a big difference to day-to-day cash flow, and the system has scaled well as we’ve grown.

Pros

Stripe has been very reliable for our business and offers strong value for money compared to alternatives. A recent advantage for us is the instant payouts, which significantly improves cash flow and reduces the stress of waiting on funds. The platform is easy to use, integrates well with other systems, and makes managing payments straightforward.

Cons

Fees can add up as volume grows, especially for smaller transactions, and it’s not always easy to clearly see the total cost impact at a glance.

### "Easy pay system "

May 5, 2026

5.0

So far using it everyday. No problem. It is a good addition to our customer service system, where they can pay bills online.

Pros

It is pretty easy to set up for a first time. Not too expensive. Not sure about customer support, because it was really to set up at the first time. Card payments are really easy. Especially we love that our customers can tap their debit card or credit card on business phone and make a payment. No need to buy any POS systems from them. The app is fully customizable, you can choose what day and time to get money on your account. So far didn’t had any bugs or issues with the system, works great.

Cons

When first time I was trying to find information about how much does it cost it was hard. Also Really wanted to talk to real person for customer support or sales agent. Didn’t found their phone number. There is a bug sometimes when you using

### "Funds Held for Over 1 Year Without Resolution"

April 14, 2026

1.0

My experience has been disappointing. While the platform works well initially, the risk management and compliance process can result in sudden account closures and prolonged fund holds. My account was closed on Feb 28, 2025, and even after more than a year, my available balance has not been released. Despite multiple follow-ups, including escalations, there has been no resolution. I would advise businesses to carefully consider these risks.

Pros

Stripe has a clean interface and is relatively easy to set up. The platform integrates well with various tools and provides a smooth payment experience while the account is active.

Cons

Account closures and fund holds are a major concern. In my case, Stripe held my balance of $3,425.80 for over 1 year after account closure, despite no chargebacks or disputes. Communication from support was limited, and no clear justification was provided for withholding funds beyond the standard reserve period.

### "Reliable and Flexible Payment Processing with Stripe"

March 17, 2026

5.0

Overall, Stripe has been a dependable payment processing system for our business. It handles credit card payments efficiently, offers useful reporting tools, and provides a secure way to process transactions. The platform is generally easy to use, runs smoothly with minimal bugs or issues, and gives businesses the flexibility to customize integrations as needed. It has been a strong solution for managing online and card payments.

Pros

Stripe provides a reliable and flexible platform for processing credit card and card payments. The system offers good value for the service provided and integrates easily with websites and online ordering platforms. The dashboard is easy to navigate, making it simple to track payments, review reports, and manage payouts. Stripe also allows for customization and integrations that make it adaptable to different business needs. Overall, it provides a smooth payment experience for both the business and the customer.

Cons

There are not many major downsides to the platform. Some reporting tools and advanced settings can take a little time to learn when first using the system, but once you become familiar with the dashboard it becomes much easier to navigate.

### "Stripe Review - SafetyCulture"

April 13, 2026

4.0

Stripe is easy to use, reliable, and integrates seamlessly with other software products (in our case Zuora), making payment processing simple and efficient. Further, Stripe reporting allows us to reconcile our credit card payments with ease.

Pros

Stripe makes it easy to set up and start taking payments, especially for our self service customers. Also, it has a clean and friendly dashboard, good reporting functionality and ability to set up sites across different currencies.

Cons

Stripe fees and network costs can add up making it expensive. Additionally the chargeback process can be a bit frustrating as not much information is provided.

### "Very easy to use, but complicated to receive funds"

April 16, 2026

3.0

overall, I left Stripe services to go to something simpler in a little bit more credible for my clients. I also left to ensure the proper timeframe for receiving my funds, since customer service never had a direct answer from our first deposit when they would come.

Pros

I liked the simplicity of setting up, the ease of verification of our business, and the availability to immediately begin services

Cons

I did not like the long timeframe that was required to receive our first set of funds, and it was not fully disclosed when making transactions which placed my family and myself in a rough spot for a moment

### "Easy CC Processing"

April 10, 2026

Overall, in the time we have used Stripe I have not seen any major issues, and it seems to work well for us.

Pros

Stripe has been very easy for us to use with little to know issues in the time that we having been using this service. We do not receive a whole lot of card payments, but it works well for us as of today.

Cons

Like all things there are fees associated with using credit cards processing programs, but that is not a major issue because it is now a common thing.

### "BEWARE of SMART DISPUTE FEES"

April 15, 2026

2.0

Pros

Good for taking credit card payments; fees are high; reports could be better and more search options

Cons

BEWARE of SMART DISPUTES in STRIPE. They charge 30% of the disputed charge + other fees -- it is absolutely outrageous and there is no notification of this fee until the dispute is settled. (If you read Stripe fine print about disputes, it talks about fees, but there is nothing about it when you are deciding to do a manual submission to respond to dispute or Smart Dispute).

Very easy for standard payment processing and invoicing. Stripe offers excellent quality and a powerful, modern platform

Pros

Ease of use. The dashboard is well designed, making it easy to track payments, refunds, disputes, and reporting once you are familiar with it.

### "Definitely Beats others!"

March 31, 2026

4.0

Stripe has made it possible for me to launch and test multiple digital products without needing a complicated financial setup or a full development team. As someone building structured tools like Identity Architect frameworks, digital reports, and downloadable software, I needed a payment system that felt professional but didn’t slow down execution. Stripe strikes that balance extremely well. The biggest advantage is how quickly you can go from idea to checkout. Payment links, hosted checkout pages, and simple product setup allow you to start selling almost immediately. For founders working on early-stage products or iterating quickly, that speed matters more than anything. I was able to validate demand and capture real customers without getting stuck in technical complexity. Stripe also grows with you. What starts as a simple payment link can later become subscriptions, gated digital downloads, or fully integrated checkout flows. This flexibility is especially helpful when products evolve over time, which they inevitably do. Having everything in one ecosystem reduces friction and avoids the need to constantly switch tools as your business matures. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, making it easy to track payments, refunds, and customer activity without feeling overwhelmed. Even when using more advanced features like invoicing or product variations, the interface stays relatively straightforward. Compared to many financial tools, Stripe feels designed for builders rather than accountants. Another strong point is how easily Stripe fits into a broader digital workflow. It integrates smoothly with website builders, email platforms, and automation tools, making it practical for founders creating structured online offerings rather than physical retail. Customer support can occasionally take time depending on the issue, and some deeper customization features may require technical guidance if you want to build something very complex. However, for most founders launching digital products or services, the core functionality is accessible and reliable without needing extensive development resources. Overall, Stripe removes a major barrier to entry for entrepreneurs who want to move quickly and present a polished, trustworthy checkout experience. It supports experimentation while still providing infrastructure strong enough to scale.

Pros

Very easy to start accepting payments quickly •Clean, intuitive dashboard •Works well for digital products, frameworks, and online services •Flexible as offerings evolve (one-time, subscription, gated access) •Professional checkout experience builds trust •Integrates well with modern website and email tools

Cons

Support response times can vary •Some advanced customization may require technical setup •Fees are standard but noticeable at higher volume

Alternatives considered

### "Process CC Payments with Ease"

March 16, 2026

5.0

Overall experience with Stripe has been positive. Payment processing is easy. The only complaint I would have is regarding the emails that Stripe sends to notify you of a payment. It would be helpful if it gave more detail, such as what the transaction was for.

Pros

We use Stripe for processing our CC payments for our programing tickets and donations. The platform works great in combination with Foundant CommunitySuite so that payments are automatically processed.

Cons

The only complaint we have regarding Stripe is about their reporting functionality. It was challenging to find the reporting options as a new user.

### "Overall, a great program that is easy to use."

January 20, 2026

5.0

Overall, I enjoy using Stripe. It is easy to use for clients. I have not received any complaints about the program from customers.

Pros

I love that Stripe links to all of the various platforms I use for my business. It is easy to use and is an easy way to accept credit card payments anywhere.

Cons

I do not like that there are multiple separate accounts with the same name under my business's Stripe account. I wish they were listed with the account they are linked to. I have left some open that could be closed, because I cannot tell which ones need to be deleted.

Pros

Love Stripe's vast array of connectivity for use as payment processor for platforms that don't have other options.

### "Stripe is a game changer for small business - Quick set up and easy to use."

May 5, 2025

5.0

I've used Stripe for over a year with multiple transactions, refunds, additional fees and I've had no issue receiving payments. All transactions have processed within the time frame provided.

Pros

Stripe's payment processing tool is very ease to use. It didn't take long to set up. With their two factor authentication and encryption, I felt confident that my transactions were safe.

Cons

The fees. All processors have them, and you can pass them on to customers so it is just a part of the industry. I've researched many vendors promising no fees, but they always seem to work them in.

### "Stripe works great, 10 years strong."

November 11, 2025

5.0

Overall Stripe has been my go to API for handling payments for all my custom web development projects. I've been using them for 10 years now.

Pros

What I really like most about Stripe is the 100% free to setup and use API, the quality customer support, the ability to process basically any payment type, and their fees are fixed at about $0.30 + 2.9% overall for most payments scenarios. I am a developer, so after I started using the API I got a lot of custom value out of the flexibility. I haven't had any bugs or issues often, and when I did I could contact support and they were able to help me out. Very easy to use overall to handle credit card payments across the board. I am a fan.#

Cons

I don't like some of the fees being higher for handling multiple stripe managed accounts (for example when running a marketplace platform)

### "Stripe Has Been a Great Payment Processor For Our Online Learning Business"

July 10, 2025

5.0

Overall, we are very pleased with Stripe. Stripe is deeply integrated with our current stack and we don't have any reason to change.

Pros

Stripe has been a great payment processor for our online training platform, seamlessly integrating with WooCommerce and WooCommerce subscriptions, allowing us to offer multiple payment options to our customers.

Cons

Stripe's payment processing fees are slightly higher than the payment processor we use for the products side of our business. We have been able to negotiate our fees down with the other processor and haven't been able to successfully lower fees with Stripe.

### "Great software for collecting payments!"

March 19, 2026

Stripe has been great. We use this for conference registrations. We host 4 conferences a year so this has become instrumental in collecting payments timely. The online platform is also super easy to use.

Pros

The ease in which you can receive and auto transfer payments to your bank account. It's also super easy to provide receipts and refunds and the reporting is fantastic. I also love that we can create unique Stripe payment links and send them via email for customers to pay.

Cons

I wish Stripe would show a little bit more detail for each transaction in the reports, but really not much to complain about as that might be an issue on our end.

### "I AM ROYALLY PO'D"

October 24, 2025

1.0

Cons

Stripe caused me to create over 250 checkout pages on my website and didn’t tell me that I had to click a setting on their website so that I would receive notifications that a sale was made. There is no such setting on PayPal. Any idiot would know that that setting should be a given. How on earth did they expect me to know first of all that I made a sale and second, where to send my painting after someone bought it? I worked with them for hours to set up a test transaction on one of the checkout pages that I set up before I clicked the setting to receive notifications. But if I had made a sale and didn’t receive a notification I would have had one very angry customer AND THAT CUSTOMER WOULD HAVE BLAME ME FOR NEGLECTING THEM AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A HORRIBLE REVIEW FOR BEING NEGLECTFUL AND SEVERELY UNPROFESSIONAL.. Now here I am hours later and they still haven’t set it up for me to make a test transaction. But here is the straw that broke the camels back!!! I mistakenly made a dispute on my credit card because I didn’t recognize the transaction, but I was on the phone with my credit card company and I finally did recognized the transaction as a test I made using the Stripe checkout so I asked the rep. I was on the phone with to cancel the dispute but it went through to Stripe in spite of this. After all of this frustration during this back and forth with Stripe I looked at my online bank accounts and noticed that the account that I use solely for inflow of money was -$5157 in arears. What happened was Stripe charged me – $14.66 for a dispute fee and my bank charged me – $38.00 overdraft fee. That is the first time that happened in years. Anyway I am Royally PO’d. Needless to say, I have decided to flush Stripe down the toilet and resume using PayPal to set up my checkout pages. Now I have more than 250 checkout pages to redo and I am one unhappy camper. I gave them an average review and they were on the phone with me in no time but after all of this, I am giving them the worst review possible and I RECOMMEND TO ANY AND EVERYONE WHO READS THIS TO STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM STRIPE AS YOU CAN GET !!!!!!!

### "Solid option with tap to pay "

January 5, 2026

Stripe provides a decent amount of features and ways to accept payments for your business. The eye catching feature for me was the ability to use a nfc capable smartphone to take payments with tap to pay instead of having to use a stripe terminal.

Pros

The setup process was quick and easy with only a few questions about your business and how stripe can tailor its services to your business type.

Cons

Navigating around can take a bit to understand. There are alot of different tabs to explore but once you become familiar with the layout its a breeze.

### "Additional payment methods for clients"

October 30, 2025

5.0

Easy to set up and works in the background payments are transferred to our bank and show up in our accounting software automatically

Pros

We like how we can intergrate stripe with our accounting software allowing clients to pay by debit card or credit card direct from their invoice. There is a small processing fee but we feel this is worth it as it gives clients more payment options and encourages them to pay immediately. We have also used stripe when selling merchandise online. We had no issues setting this up and have had no bugs.

Cons

There are small processing fees which is expected. You have to way up the cost with the speed of payments.
