We used it for registration costs, product purchases and even did refunds and all okay and went through in a reasonable amount of time. Pros We went with this product because of the price. It ended up be the cheapest for our event. We were planning a regional youth camp and needed a way for different people from different states to pay. With a non-profit discount it was our best choice. Cons Set up was a bit extensive, but I won't complain. Some of that was due to getting an extra discount for non-profit verification. Great app to alert to new payments, disputes, deposits, etc. Connects with a large number of softwares. Cons Payout take forever if you aren't meeting a certain threshold. Was told 2-day payout would commence after a trial period of 7-day payout, then told I needed minimum monthly threshold, then told about dispute counts... Basically the answer changed everytime I followed up to get 2-day payout. Many others got that after the first couple of transactions. Very frustrating and will likely change to another service. Unless you want to wait 7-10 business days for your money, I'd recommend going elsewhere... And, I appreciate how it's connecting to more and more apps like Acuity Scheduling, Omnify, etc. Cons It's frustrating to wait 2 business days for funds to hit my bank account when I know the technology could make it instant. PayPal offers next day deposits for established customers. I hope Stripe will do this as well. The good thing is most people already have some experience with Stripe which makes it that much more important to use for your site. Pros The ease of integration and the well documented API. All questions were addressed promptly, politely, with accurate resolutions and a timeframe supplied. The delayed refund was processed via Stripe and there were no issues on Stripes account. Pros Fast and simple integration with ease of use for taking direct online rental bookings. Customer service with excellent response time and knowledge. Cons Navigating the application is a little tricky and time consuming, but with a little diligence and patience it can be mastered. It is very much easy to integrate with different Server-side libraries like Ruby Python PHP Java Node Go .NET and Client-side & UI libraries like Web, iOS and Android. Stripe has great documentation and support system. Cons Stripe is not unavailable for all countries. Companies from developing countries like Nepal have not accessed to Credit Card for Internation payment and it is very hard to configure with Stripe. Their fee scale is on par with other payment processors but I feel like a couple years ago they were actually cheaper than others. We use products and accounts and of course the ability to run credit cards for our clients. The API is well documented which makes it MUCH easier to use than competitors. My clients appreciate the convenience of being able to pay by credit card (without needing to have the card present, it is securely stored) and I also appreciate the ease and speed of processing on my end. Pros I love that Stripe is integrated into my Electronic Health Record (simple practice) so I can collect payment with literally the click of one button. I think it might help Stripe perfect their services at least. The features are good with Stripe. You can track payments easily and it integrates well with most form builders. The downsides: it's known to not be super user-friendly on the ones administering the software and the customer support is almost non-existent. Pros On the user experience side, Stripe is relatively easy for patrons to use and it has name recognition that doesn't scare someone away from making a transaction on your site. Cons Stripe can be difficult to set up and I had some major issues with refunding customers. When I tried to talk to customer support, I had to search them out for hours to try to find a place to contact them. I couldn't find much in the way of contact for them, so I had to go to their Facebook page to talk to them there. Really, that's one of my biggest complaints. It shouldn't have to take me that long to try to get customer support on a matter. This is something that has been a widespread complaint about Stripe. It makes overseeing clients, plans, and so on simple. Excellent developer documentation. Plenty of examples to help you achieve what you want to. Customer support - if an issue emerges they are constantly open to communicate with the customer. Stripe makes it extremely simple to drop repeating month to month charges and additionally discounting customers and refunding. Cons the fee per transaction is a little high.
