I can also view comment history about any issues with the device. Cons It does require a lot of data input when first setting up. If you have a lot of items to place in your inventory, you need to think ahead of what information is most important and keep it fairly standardized for implementation. I learned the basics very quickly Cons The search feature can be annoying. Creating groups and sub groups helps narrow searches, but too often hen using the search bar, the items searched is not narrow enough. The group and sub group feature is very impotent. IT Helpdesk Biotechnology Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "EzOfficeInventory is an inexpensive option to track inventory" August 31, 2022 4.0 Due to AIN not being default option when I started with company the assets were a mess.. I had to export the inventory than sort by group and assign AIN numbers and import back in. Asset stocks were even worst as it does not auto search when using description so we had HP Dock, Lenovo Dock, Docking station. Basically whatever the person input at the time of adding so I had to export and fix that. It would of been nice if it had prompted you have dock group do you want to use this group? Pros You can track really as much info as you need. We only need to tract asset tag and who it is checked out to. But as a business you can even track how much you paid for each piece when you add to stock. So it allows as little or as much as you need to track. Cons Would of liked another category for assets for available inventory not checked out as we add them. How we are working around this is we modify our AIN number to put it into another group for reporting. The default option using Asset # is not a good choice because you can not change this number so if using it as default when you retire a system your going to have gaps in this number making it more difficult to track how many assets are in use or available at this time. Default option should be AIN. Reason for choosing EZO It was already in place when I started and was recommended as a Zendesk app that ties into it. Review Source JH Jamie H. Pros It is very easy to use and is great at categorizing any items we add for EZ management. There are too many features to list and I will just say that the app lives up to its brand name, EZ. Cons The reports function was a challenge at first and it seems like we can't delete previously created reports which remain under Bookmarked. Slightly annoying but easy to ignore. Use of barcodes to identify & track tools, their locations and status (Checked to whom, repairs, etc.) has made managing assets so much easier and makes quick work of our quarterly inventory. Cons The only dislike would be the inability to create customized reports without upgrading, but we get around this but exporting to a spreadsheet and sorting as needed. December 11, 2018 4.0 so far as been good, good support, they get back to you quickly, they are out of Reno. they were helpful and easy to work with, never had any real issue with the program at all. Pros Its super easy to set up and get going, bulk add features are nice, easy to add users as well and group them to certain areas, helps keeping tabs of items to loan out much easier for both the back end and for end users to check those items out Cons compared to the old system i was using not much, i just wish you could delete users if they have never used anything or checked something out, but you can only disable their account. I think the mobile scanning is one of my favorites. Any of my staff can see something that needs a repair scan the bar code and request a repair. My maintenance staff gets a notification and knows what to repair, where the item is located and if its under warranty and who to contact all thru the EZ Office program. Each new item registered you can put in the warranty information and get notifications if they are expiring. The staff can reserve assets so the other staff knows that its not available if they need it at the same time. This will safe us a lot of over booking issues. Cons The set up is a little bulky. You can upload excel spreadsheets that during set up which is great but you have to create all the custom fields that you want (see on your demo). They do have lots of blogs or videos that help with this and they are pretty quick within 24 hrs to respond to your questions. But normally their response is to direct you to a blog or video rather than walking you thru it. Systems Administrator Primary/Secondary Education Used the software for: 2+ years ### "100 times better than we expected" March 15, 2017 5.0 We researched an inventory system to migrate to a few years ago and we came across EZOfficeInventory. We determined it looked like the best option and it had one of the best prices. Not only have we thoroughly enjoyed everything about EZOfficeInventory since the migration, but since we have the highest tier subscription plan, we can request any new feature that we want them to integrate for us and we have done that several times already. Each time we request something new they always make it happen for us so we have been pleased with every request we have made. One of the coolest integrations that EZOfficeInventory has is that it integrates directly with Zendesk which is what we use already for our help desk ticketing system. I honestly don't know what we would do without EZOfficeInventory at this point. Even the support staff is friendly and quick to respond. Pros You can create any kind of custom reports you want. Sort items by groups and sub groups. It syncs with LDAP. The pricing is competitive. You can configure alerts and custom access rights. It uses QR codes and barcodes. Easy to import existing assets from csv files. I could go on, but my hands are getting tired from typing. Cons Having a hard time thinking of any cons, but one thing it could use is a few more "bulk edit" options other than bulk editing assets themselves. Like it would be nice if I could bulk edit a certain user field or something like that. I also wish I could bulk edit the document/image library to remove all the duplicates. We used it to replace a number of manual-input spreadsheets and other DIY solutions. This has been an affordable solution that works exceptionally well for our organization and has been a dramatic improvement from the hodge=podge of solutions that we were using previously. Pros We really enjoy how versatile this product is. We use it to track everything from computers and peripherals in the office to our trucks in the field. It is simple enough to allow for us to use it across a wide range of assets, but also robust enough to allow us to track service and schedule reminders for regular service and registration on our trailers and equipment. It has dramatically increased accountability across the organization and allowed us to ensure better control of our assets. Cons There are not really very many cons that we have discovered for the software. The only drawback is that some of our less technically savvy employees are a bit intimidated by the UI. However, after the initial hurdles, they seem to pick it up quickly. Reason for choosing EZO We ended up choosing EZOfficeInventory because it provided an affordable solution that we didn't have spend a bunch of time customizing. It was also a very simple solution, many of the competing softwares are geared specifically to tracking one type of asset and when it is used for something else many of the fields are simply not able to be utilized. In our experience that tends to lead to complacency and, over time, fields that should have been populated for a particular type of asset are not. Pros EZOfficeInventory has finally given us a multi-level way to track all fo the aspects of asset management. The features are fully customizable which has been a game changer for us. We are able to quickly identify all equipment, which while in the middle of pandemic, we have equipment in many different places so people can efficiently work from home. We can find anything at any time. I can't say enough good things about this platform - I wish I had found it sooner! Cons There is nothing I can say I don't like about this software. I have used it thoroughly the last 6 months and I'm yet to find anything that I wish was different. Cons I think they should add a feature where we could check out software subscriptions! We create lots of content and use lots of high end software as a result. It definitely makes my life easier and quicker and it allows me to do it at any time which is good. Also the email/response system is great and easy to help you keep track of what you have requested Cons The fact that you have to request one thing at a time (there is no ‘cart’ function) is frustrating because it means I have to open about 20 tabs/browser windows to request everything I need. Also we have 4 of everything thing in our inventory so it would be nice if there was a way of marking that some one had requested “kit 1” before the administrator Has had a chance to, so the other 4 People don’t request “kit 1”. You can add multiple items from different item categories and check them out through cart or even reserve cart for a future use as well. Secondly, you can even create bundles of frequently checked out items so that everytime you don't have to select those items and bundles can be added to cart as a whole.
