Pros EZOfficeInventory has finally given us a multi-level way to track all fo the aspects of asset management. The features are fully customizable which has been a game changer for us. We are able to quickly identify all equipment, which while in the middle of pandemic, we have equipment in many different places so people can efficiently work from home. We can find anything at any time. I can't say enough good things about this platform - I wish I had found it sooner! Cons There is nothing I can say I don't like about this software. I have used it thoroughly the last 6 months and I'm yet to find anything that I wish was different. August 3, 2022 5.0 It has been great. For someone who didn't know it existed at first, who now uses it daily, I believe that I will be using it one day when I run my own business. Pros I like how easy it is to move assets around from being checked in to the company to checked out to our employees. I am an intern at my company and did a lot of work on EZOffice to help organize who was in possession of what, and found it very easy to use EZOffice. Cons I think they should add a feature where we could check out software subscriptions! We create lots of content and use lots of high end software as a result. It definitely makes my life easier and quicker and it allows me to do it at any time which is good. Also the email/response system is great and easy to help you keep track of what you have requested Cons The fact that you have to request one thing at a time (there is no ‘cart’ function) is frustrating because it means I have to open about 20 tabs/browser windows to request everything I need. Also we have 4 of everything thing in our inventory so it would be nice if there was a way of marking that some one had requested “kit 1” before the administrator Has had a chance to, so the other 4 People don’t request “kit 1”. You can add multiple items from different item categories and check them out through cart or even reserve cart for a future use as well. Secondly, you can even create bundles of frequently checked out items so that everytime you don't have to select those items and bundles can be added to cart as a whole. Cons The restrictions that come along with your administrative level on the platform. On my team I have the most access to adding, editing, and managing equipment. However I do not have access to make PDF printouts of the carts that I currently have checked out. I also dislike the fact that you cannot add items to a cart that's already checked out. Our Operations team uses it for inventory but my tie in is getting new employees up to speed to use it, and also we've found it can be a useful means of tracking employee access to tools and equipment in one interface so we aren't spread across so many places in our otherwise immature tool environment. Pros I enjoy that it is flexible, but lightweight. Some inventory systems seem steeped in some old IBM style clunkiness but this tool matches cloud-style service culture and seems to flex where needed. Cons As someone that uses this tool for a few limited purposes, I have yet to really master effective reporting. These are crucial elements to my business and they work well. Cons Asset Stock transfers from one location to another is impossible to manage as is. Also, alerting would be much better if I, as administrator, could change and manage alerts for other (non-admin) users. The main solution is getting a hold of an inventory system that is growing daily. It allows us to track calibration paper work with each asset giving us alerts when one is due or is being returned from a vendor. This has helped not only our equipment department, but also our purchasing department. Pros This cloud based inventory system was implemented only 30 days ago and has already helped out our inventory department tremendously. It allows us to use QR Codes and bar codes seamlessly along with RF-ID tags linked back to each individual asset and/or member. Along with the ability to add in custom fields for inter company asset tracking, GPS tracking, custom system alert emails, and much more. Implementing EZOffice Inventory company wide was a breeze and end-user training was very simple! Cloud based so access is a breeze from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. There is also an iPhone and Android app available with a build-it scanner for QR/BAR codes!! Cons The only CON, which can also be a PRO, is the fact the software is cloud based. Since it is cloud based, you will need an internet connection to use the software. Also, since it is cloud based, as long as you have an internet connection, you can fully utilize this software from any where. The phrase: The system is smart and will teach you was used quite often. While the system in somewhat intuitive the initial set up should be done by EZ to show a brand new user its capabilities. My first support person was from Asia, making her available hours very inconvenient and have to wait 24+ hrs for a response. We also use it to track devices being issued to staff members as well. We were having a major issue with participants and staff members forgetting to return devices, or Research Coordinators taking devices to issue to new participants and not tracking them effectively. Now we simply have them check the devices out in EZOfficeInventory and it fixes that issue. In addition, the software makes it easier for us to figure out what we need to purchase. Pros The first thing that I noticed was that the software was incredibly easy to use. I had an hour long training with our IT team and after that I was already up and running and was able to perform the tasks that I needed. In addition, each time I have to use the software for something different than my normal workflow, the ease of use makes it easy for me to figure out how to perform that new task. Cons It would be nice if there was an API. It would make it easier to automate some of the tasks that we have to perform frequently. The functionality options for the interface are sometimes rigid in that they only offer a fixed set of actions. In addition, a fully functional API would help users integrate the software into their internal automated processes more easily. For example, it would be nice if we could make a series of API calls to register new devices or upload a spreadsheet in a specific format that contained the information needed to register devices (or perform some other task) and have the software read from the spreadsheet. They respond within the same day and are very solution minded. Pros It is relatively easy to get started setting up assets etc. in the system. As with most (all?) platforms it takes a while before your are 100% comfortable how to handle the different situations in the system. We use the QR scanner app which works flawlessly. Cons It is OK intuitive to use - but not perfect. The UI is not a big issue - but it can be improved.
