Pros The simplicity and ease in configuring the "threads" for steering imaging data where we need it to go. Cons I haven't run into any negative aspects of interacting with the Unifier as of yet. We couple it with our solution to manage moving data within complex imaging environments, and the DICOM Systems product is ready to tackle any scenario, regardless of complexity. Cons Admittedly I'm not educated on the latest capabilities, but it's always a challenge to use some intelligence to automatically find and move clinically relevant priors from disparate systems that use very different body part / study description labeling and implement it in a way that is not a nightmare for management in constantly evolving and growing imaging environments. The ability of the software to manage workflows allows us to create our own fixes for problems arising from having multiple modality vendors who don't have good support. Pros The best thing about this software is the flexibility and the support. Honestly, DICOM Systems has hands down the best support team I have ever worked with. Their responsiveness and their willingness to look into any sort of workflow we have is their most valuable asset. Cons The UI is powerful, but it does require a technical mind to create new rules. Support is always willing to help, but it would be nice if we could manage more on our own. Cons The user interface to see a specific images and the dicom tags of that serie/image could be maybe improved a little bit. Dicom Systems unifier was able to easily fulfill this void in the overall topology. Pros The implementation requirements were clearly defined, and the implementation team completed the installation in record time, without error. Post-install followup check was greatly appreciated.
