Brightpearl revolutionized our approach with respect to inventory management, purchase ordering and accounting. Our data is now more accurate, we can run better reports, and our order processing is cut by half. Before Brightpearl we were trying to function on Sage, the whole process for our business was manual and very time-consuming. With Brightpearl we have gained the time back so we can chase suppliers and negotiate discounts for stock. You get full visibility of your business with real time accounts, you know where your money is and where its going. " February 6, 2017 5.0 Our company has depended heavily on for four years. We have expanded from sales to distribution as our only channel to a highly customized Magento shopping cart, third-party logistics and drop-shipping services for select customers. Magento has handled that growth and movement from several fulfillment warehouses to a single, master warehouse. We changed accounting/bookkeeping firms recently due to some of BrightPearl's accounting quirks which are not natural for traditional Quickbooks bookkeepers. And a reporting limitation is the inability of the platform to product a Statement of Cash Flows. The real-time reporting of sales and inventory, CRM functionality and ease of use with Magento has been critical for supporting the growth of FullBucketHealth.com . Review Source NA Neil A. August 14, 2015 5.0 We started trading on eBay on the day we opened our toy shop, we did it all manually using the eBay back office, our stock and sales were all done manually. We new we needed an EPOS system and a way to run our eBay store plus our website all from one pot of stock, offered the only solution to all our needs. The implementation process was surprisingly pain free but a lot of hard work, we felt that they were with us the whole of the way. Our sales have more than doubled since we went live and we carry lest stock but more lines. Its not perfect but they respond very quickly to support issues so it balances out. Integrating into my business has simplified daily operations and increased efficiency tremendously. The software is comprehensive and not extremely difficult to navigate. Great stock management especially if you are a multi-channel seller. Good accounting module and customer service with fast response and resolution time. Director Used the software for: ### "Very poor at fixing errors in the software" August 14, 2015 4.0 We've been waiting around 6 months for them to fix a problem with rounding errors that has created thousands of outstanding customer balances on our accounts. It's taken a lot of pushing from our end just for them to start looking at how they might fix it and have only just now had a proposal for a possible way they might fix it. With no indication of whether the fix will actually work or when they are going to implement it. We have been with for three years now and most of our issues have been resolved and the platform is working well for us so once the teething problems were sorted it has proved a really valuable tool. Its website claimed that you could list directly from Brightpearl onto eBay but it turned out to be untrue as Brightpearl didn't support eBay Postage Policies (That's eBayspeak for shipping tables). Nor could it list directly to any of the Amazon websites, nor to Shopify or anywhere else. Yet other software can do all of that, and has Google Translate Professional built in so that you can list directly to Amazon Poland without you having to employ a translator. So Brightpearl just falls flat on its face in far too many areas compared to the competition. The worst thing is trying to leave. I am leaving and would like to keep read only access for a year to make it easy to check any warranty claims. Brightpearl have quoted £10,080 for that when full acess costs me less than half of that. So if you are considering BRightpearl, keep looking, there are much better deals available. Pros The only thing that I really like about this software is that they have good support staff. I was initially attracted to because it included integrated accounts. It has taken me 6 years to realise that this was a false way of thinking as there is other software that integrates seamlessly with reasonably-priced good quality accounting software like Xero, Quickbooks and Sage. Essentially with Brightpearl you are paying a high price for an accounting system that is used by a relatively small number of users (online it says Brightpearl has about 1,000 users - that is a very small number to finance a piece of accounting software. Eventually I realised how much it was missing in other areas. Cons The biggest drawback with is the small number of marketplaces it support compared to many of its competitors. They claim to integrate with Amazon, but this is only partially true. Amazon Europe have added 3 new marketplaces but BRightpearl have ingnored them where similar software providers have integrations at no extra cost. Brightpearl haven't added a single marketplace integration in 6 years, and the only one planned, OnBuy, a small marketplace unlikely to generate much revenue, comes at an extra cost. When I started with Brightpearl they were advertising it as the software to automate your online selling, but it was very limited as far as automation was concerned. After a couple of years they launched the Brightpearl Automation App. Funny that you should need an additional app, at extra cost, to do what the software was promising to do 2 years earlier. many things come at extra cost with Brightpearl but are available at no extra cost with other software. Brightpearl doesn't calculate VAT correctly. If you get an order from the Channel Islands, Brightpearl will add 20% VAT even though there is no VAT in th Channel Islands. (it does the same with the Canary Islands which also are not subject to VAT. It would be simply to write a filter to catch these and put correct 0 VAT on them, but they just don't seem to care if their customers are paying the tax men a bit more than they should be. Brightpearl automatically consolidates our sales from all channels and makes our fulfillment process easy. Their customer service team is happy to help, but our account doesn't include phone support. Used the software for: ### "Brilliant - everything we need and more" February 6, 2017 5.0 We use to manage our multiple e-commerce stores online. It does everything we need it to - and more. The Sales screen is very easy to use, and works well with additional plug-ins (we have one that creates our courier barcodes automatically). The way Brightpearl manages products and stock levels is brilliant, and very clear. Bundles are easy to set up, and variations as effective too. The Purchases ares lets us keep all our information in one place, and we use the Accounting features too. The Reports we can generate are extremely useful and very detailed. Used the software for: ### "Easy to use and a great package overall" January 30, 2017 4.0 We have been using for 4 years this February and overall we have found the software to be hassle free with regular updates improving functionality. We checked out all the other rivals, Brightpearl got it for us as it does a nice job in the background with the accounts. It works great as an inventory, syncing with multi channels such as eBay and Amazon to keep your inventory levels true and avoid overselling. I can't fault it really if you have the budget and are looking at spending less time on the day-to day stuff, focusing on growing your business. The only disadvantage within brightpearl is that you can only have a certain amount of users logged in at a time but this can be changed if you are willing to pay more for the extra user log ins, which we have done. Brightpearl has allowed our company to spend little of our time on order processing and book keeping as we have had to do before Brightpearl. The transition from our previous software to Brightpearl was simple and easy . We have yet to run into any problems that Brightpearl cannot fix. The only downside is the price and it sometimes goes offline.
