Pros Customer support, low price, ease of use Cons New Sitebuilder is difficult to use. I use Classic Sitebuilder, and hopefully, that will always be available. Reason for choosing Yola Price, ease of use. I am almost tech illiterate and I found something I could use with comfort. Pros Easy to use, customer service brilliant. I am not great at IT however was able to set up my website quickly. Happy that I can also send out bulk emails. Cons Not sure there is any... The site has never gone down in almost three years since its launch. A few technical problems with editing and adding widgets were solved quickly and easily by customer support, who are friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Director Writing and Editing Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Don't bother with Yola" May 27, 2021 1.0 yola sucks. i was a loyal yola customer for years. they are cheap and offer hosting for up to 25 sites for like 100 bucks a year. but you get what you pay for. the site building features are limited and primitive. it is good enough for your basic, static website. But there are few (if any) easy ways to make a dynamic site with content you can easily update. The worst part about yola is they restrict free speech! they removed my site "Biden is an idiot" because it did not fit with their liberal mission (in the US they are based out of san francisco). So I pulled all of my sites off of yola and moved them (and my custom domains) to go daddy. Yeah i pay more, but the site building features are awesome and very easy to use, and my sites have never looked better. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOLA TO ANYONE! Pros Cheap: Can host up to 25 sites for about 100 bucks Good for basic sites Cons Vey limited and primitive features Not easy to use Not good for creating dynamic web content you need to change often Review Source EM Egleé M. The annual price to do so is the best on the web in my opinion for this. There are excellent templates for beginners as well as HTML widgets for the more experienced designer. Cons Although there are some very clean looking templates, there are not as many offered as other providers. The ease of creating a website (for a novelist) and the customer service are two of the most important selling points for me when deciding on website builders. Pros Their customer service goes above and beyond to make sure that they help, and they respond rather quickly to my concerns. I feel as if they guide you step by step on how to execute a task until you are satisfied with the outcome. Cons Options of features. My final product was easy for others to navigate and I love that I didn't need experience to do this. Pros able to do it myself, no outside involvement needed, no unnecessary expense loved that I could do this with no prior experience and the final result looked great! Pros The ease of getting going and being able to create nice simple webpages. Cons Some of the detailed features you see on fancier websites are missing, eg would be nice to have a page where you can display a brochure and turn pages rather than have to show all pages as images in a gallery. Most recently my needs have changed and I've had to go another route, but if the need should arise, I know that Yola will be top of the list once again. Pros That each plan offered more than one blank website. I also liked the integrations and the ability to use HTML and even CSS. Cons Most recently I chose the least expensive plan, and was disappointed to discover that it did not allow use of HTML or Google Verification and Tracking. I used it to build multiple websites and they all turned out fine. April 4, 2018 5.0 Pros As advantages I point out its ease of use, it is an intuitive interface, which allows to quickly design a web page without the user having computer knowledge. Cons As a disadvantage, I only pointed out that you have to pay to enjoy more storage capacity, enjoy a personalized domain, among other features of this innovative site. July 30, 2022 5.0 Pros The site has been around for about a decade now and its features were easy to use even when I was back in high school creating sites for projects! Tons of different tools to choose from even with a free site. Cons Adding a long domain name to a free site can be a bit annoying, that is only to be expected of a free trial however, paid sites are fantastic.
