It's made my job as a Learning & Development Director much easier because I can create realistic assessments that guarantee new hires understand the necessary material. Pros has made it WAY easier for us to build detailed assessments that measure real-world job skills. We're an accounting company, so we need to make sure all of our accountants have the requisite skills to do great work for clients. The flexibility of iSpring Suite's system has enabled us to create assessment questions that mirror accounting journal entries, accounting platforms we use, and bank statements that our employees need to understand. Cons It operates as a PowerPoint plug-in rather than a standalone platform. That provides a ton of upside (operating within a tool admins already understand), but also some downside (like the fact that new updates we install sometimes trigger warnings for our IT team because they look malicious because they're coming through a plug-in). There is a wide variety of assets to choose from to customize your training so that it is "real world" similar for learners. Cons I don't really like the "player". I love the flexibility of creating customized courses for our EMS agency. It allows me to use branding, video footage, and make my own vision come to life without extensive coding or other skills to create learning paths, animations, and other course elements. The interactive quizzing and interactions features are great. I've been able to create company characters using photos of our actual staff and backdrops of our EMS agency operations to create meaningful and customized segments in new training modules. Pros User friendly course creation. Utilizing power point as the base foundation makes course creation a breeze as well as collaborating with SMEs from other departments. I can have them send me a presentation and then turn it into an interactive and engaging course using best practices of adult learning and course design. Cons I'm old school so I prefer to call a help line and get support over phone or video chat. But the support team is helpful. When I open a ticket, I typically get a response by the next day. Sometimes it doesn't quite answer exactly what I need so the back and forth can be frustrating but they often get to the root of the issue on the first or second back and forth. The least I like about it, sincerely, is that I keep dependency of the platform, as all I built in iSpring and publish in HTML5 formats, I depend on iSpring to keep updated, and I don´t know untill when I´ll have the license available. Although the tool is indeed very intuitive, we offer a personal account manager for every customer in order to help navigate and to shorten the onboarding curve. Regarding the published courses, we designed them specifically the way that they stay with you forever once created. You may keep and use them without updating the content; however, we’d be delighted to see you among our customers for years to come, as numerous monthly (!) product updates, attentive speedy tech support, and more, for a reasonable price, as you mention, are truly worth it. Developing the desktop modules has improved our training experience and provided a new source for staff to create customizable content. Pros I enjoy the variety of features available for use in iSpring. As a trainer, I use the PPT combined with the narrator settings to develop desktop training modules. There are a lot of features that allow for customization that I enjoy. iSpring is very user-friendly. Cons I least enjoy that there are times your audio settings/file may disappear from your PPT. This has created challenges as I've had to recreate a training I created for staff last year. Install took 3 months and crashed 2 computers trying to switch the license to a new person. Pros It makes SCORM files that I can then put into our training site for very job specific trainings that aren't offered in the site library of trainings. \[sensitive content hidden\] was amazing. Cons Had several struggles and the IT was very unhelpful until the person I'd been working with for 4+ months went on vacation, the sub was great and solved my problem in less than a week. She was the first person of theirs that was actually helpful and kind. all other Support staff treated me like I was stupid then couldn't solve my problems and only replied between 11p and 4a where I am despite saying they were 24/7. The last girl however was amazing and this does not reflect on her. I found it to be a great product to build our training program and I appreciated how integrated features like videos and assessments were. There is ample customer support offered, though I didn't always feel like I needed it because it was easy to use. Pros It is really intuitive and easy to use, even as a first timer. I watched a few training videos and was able to independently create my course easily. Cons Saving and publishing files can be a bit tricky to figure out. Once you publish a file you cannot interfere with the files in the folder or move them around. I wish that was made clearer. Por un problema médico, tuve que "congelar" mi trabajo unos días y al re-iniciar solicité ayuda a "soporte al cliente de ispring" y me han respondido muy rápido y con una atención personal exquisita.
