Pros: It is one of our most comfortable applications to keep track of equipment inventories, fix maintenance, with an excellent graphic interface that allows the best management of the program.

Cons: There are certain characteristics that do not work locally, such as communication with other databases of other maintenance programs, it is very closed in that sense

Pros: The software is extremely user friendly and the fact that they can cloud host is great. There is multiple ways to access the same options.

Cons: I wish I was more educated to use it to its full advantage. The downside to having cloud host is it runs just a little slower than when you host.

Pros: We are looking at her maintenance needs, this was one of the best applications that we found it was super helpful to use and we really enjoyed it

Cons: It took our team a little longer than expected to figure out the process, however it was super simple after they got some training

Great functionality and ease of customization for tracking asset maintenance.

Pros: It is very simple and easy to customize, hide, add additional fields specific to our operation. Very user friendly and intuitive to use for many employees. Easy one button clicks and drop downs to reduce confusion and inconsistent information being input into the system. Reporting can be customized and used to edit, open, manage records.

Cons: Custom and advanced features can be tricky sometimes, but customer support is always there free of charge to come to my aid when I am stuck. And helps to teach as well.

Pros: The system is easy to setup drop menus too allow for personalization needed. easy to setup for multiple users and needs. link to desktop makes the login faster for speedy responses. others can read posted tickets and see if the item is already on the list to be addressed fixed or solution in progression. it would be nice if it CC your email with the resolution or outstanding ticket at the end of the month.

Cons: The person who posted the issue should be able to edit to close tickets that have been addressed already. Would be nice to be able to escalate the same topic more then once. occasionally you might have two similar challenges in one day.

Overall: connectivity to have challenges address is faster way.

Pros: Its very easy for users to submit a request. And its very easy for our maintenance technicians to complete work orders. There are also a bunch of custom settings and buttons we can add to make it specific to our organization.

Cons: Some of the default templates have a ton of information that I wish we could remove. This is definitely not a big deal, but it would be nice to remove some of the buttons and features we don't use to clean up the user experience.

Very robust program with lots of good features.

Pros: The interface, and the variety of features available. Especially liked the ability to use photos to highlight assets, and attach them to completed work orders.

Cons: Some functions require a few too many mouse clicks, such as closing work orders. Only a slight decrease in efficiency, though.

MC is one of the most versatile and innovative software ever used

Pros: MC is a very versatile product.

It has enabled me to enhance the productivity and overall performance of my department in the shortest space of time.

MC software has the ability to provide third party support and offers the options to link these as well, making the overall experience more user friendly

Cons: The time it takes to have a new employee trained up to the administrator level can be tedious, however its worth it, to have another capable hands on deck makes the job a lot more efficient

Takes a bit of training, but very easy to use after that

Pros: Customer support whenever help is needed - very fast responses with knowledgeable folks working on solutions

Cons: We tried to use it as an ERP system and it is just not robust enough - you should look into creating one

Pros: While watching this product I was very impressed with the ease of use .
It also seemed very well put together and planed out. The user told me he picket it up right away.

Cons: Not knowing how much it costs I would have to say the sample wasn't quite long enough for me to have many things I didn't like

i started a MRO Room from the ground. CMMS is been there since day 1. 3 years into it now.

Pros: very easy to use and have other people to navigate as well. The Inventory section and Purchase order section is what i use all day. Making PO's and creating an item list for our Secure Storage room.

Cons: in the new item section. you use to be able to copy and paste on the Item number line, can't anymore

Had a few bugs in it but they have been cleared up.

Pros: Easy to use, fairly easy to learn. still learning different things in MC. Once you learn it is very easy software to use. I like being able to go to MC web sight for answers and how to dos.

Cons: Freezes up, don't' know if it is being updated or what is going on with it. Reports, some are difficult to figure out what criteria to put in to run the report you want. When you are done running a report it is very easy to use back arrow instead of "Close" and Maintenance Connection logs you out.

Overall: I have use 5 different computer software's for Inventory Control with my past Jobs this one is one of the easier to use ones.

Pros: This software has been customized to fit our needs. Other software doesn't always allow that. Maintenance Connection has made extra portals just for us to use for purchasing, accounting and reporting. We have also had wonderful tech support throughout these add-ons/changes.

Cons: Sometimes the system is slow to update- it thinks a lot or even times out. When we are in a hurry to get an order out, I have to wait awhile for it to populate the information before I can issue. I wish it would update live.

Overall: Having a system to keep record and process an order- Purchase through Payment.

MC has taken our asset inventory to a level of detail we never thought would be possible.

Pros: The amount of information that you can customize and set up to run as a report or export to excel has been a game changer. We keep track of cost of repair per asset and when we need to evaluate equipment. It is so easy to pull this information and track how much we have spent. We haven't come across any information we can't capture. Customer support, tech support and the forums are quick, reliable resources for support and instruction.

Cons: The only thing I would like to see is the serial number available on our work orders in addition to asset id. The global search is a great addition, but it seems to still need more work. It doesn't 'find' what I am looking for quite often.

Maintenance Connections is outstanding at assisting us with all of our maintenance requirements!

Pros: We use almost all of the features in MC in some way everyday. Reports, inventory, PM, work request, etc.

Cons: Is there a link to the survey we can insert into our email to customers when a work orders are closed that they can click on. Instead customers must go back into the Service Requester screen to submit feedback.

Great program/system. Very robust.

Pros: Staff adoption of system and accolades for ease of use (WO's). Ability to see asset WO history is very beneficial to our operations.

Cons: Lots of "canned" reports but difficult "ad hoc" creation. Would love to see a specific report content/syllabus for reports.

Overall: Generally organizes and captures our activities, which can be used for staff feedback on performance as well as reporting to senior management.

I can literally say that MC software revolutionized our work, bringing much more control.

Pros: Keeps a good log of parts used versus parts on hand. Allows for cross referencing with fellow employees, on the same work order.

Cons: Hard to get to file photo attachments. Attachments can be lost or non-accessible. Archive folder not functioning, so can not refer to any history of repair or service to preventative maintenance scheduled work orders.

Overall: A good way to compare preventative maintenance versus emergency maintenance work during a weekly cycle.

Pros: Easy of navigation between work orders & locations. Ability to search for asset history. Generally user friendly overall.

Cons: When I generate a work order I don't received the email notification of work order for my records.
Also adding labor hours for the 1st time , dropdown menu doesn't have calendar window and will not save the first time . Calendar for labor hours will only populate after being save once first.

100% better than my company's last CMMS

Pros: Asset history can be review directly in the asset module or use the basic and or custom reports. PMs and procedure modules are very simple to set up.

Cons: Asset downtime embeds after completion of work. If correction needs to be made many steps are taken to correct downtime.

Overall: Better Asset Management, better scheduling and planning of work. Over all department is more efficient.

I thought that Maintenance Connection has the best software solution I've seen for my application.

Pros: I like the Mobile solution application and the ability to minimize work order data capture for my technicians.

Cons: I still believe that there is more room to simplify a CMMS. At the moment, I'm still frightened by the amount of administrative work of one of these systems. I actually chose not to invest in this at this time due to the cost and administrative burden, given our relatively small maintenance requirements. I would not necessarily benefit from any labor optimization and really need the documentation portion. I chose to stick with my good old spreadsheets.

Overall: Data and cost tracking for assets. Preventive Maintenance Scheduling. Never implemented so was not able to see benefits as a result.

Pros: I like the way you could upload information into the system, the easy at which the maintenance department could use the system. I like the feature of the PM and Inventory parts. The screen was easy to navigate and understand.

Cons: It was a little more powerful for what we were looking for. We chose to go with a different software to use a bridge until Corporate purchase a total enterprise system.

Pros: The cloud based system seems to be working a little smoother than when I first started. Looks more cleaner

Cons: i find that the reports are harder to run. Cant easily print out the procedures page. When looking up assets or PM's inactive ones show up. Sorting does not work. Pm's are mixed up with work orders. Doesn't help that training is too expensive or that our system office hasn't paid some bills so i can't get more customer service help

Overall: It was already up and running when I started this position

Pros: The interaction between modules is clean and easy to develop from an implementation point of view. Once you get the base tables built expansion of the system is easy. The reporting systems in relatively easy to use but in some cases a knowledge of SQL is required.

Cons: The inability to redefine the work order hard copy. The fact that some SQL knowledge is required for the report writer it improve upon some of the base reports to build a more detailed report.

Some receiving data entry and using to pull and keep track of items ordered.

Pros: Looking up stuff is easy. Global search is a nice addition. Tech support is awesome able to interact back and forth to solve problems.

Cons: MC express on Ipad is extremely slow saving items making input twice as long, compared to desktop or laptop computer.

Overall: Easy to keep track of products, nice inventory options.

Very easy and practical to use. Great way to organize, sort and report our data.

Pros: Makes running reports a breeze. I have several reports that are needed from me and this software enables me to have that data ready very quickly.

Cons: There have been a couple times this program has locked up on me and lost my data on the page I was working on at the time of freeze. But those two occasions were my only gliches, so no complaints here.

Pros: The interface is very user friendly. Everything from entering work orders to printing off detailed reports is quite intuitive. I particularly appretiate the asset history records.

Cons: Printing off task lists in a readable format can be tricky from the software. There are however several export options available which complete the process adequately.

Pros: The set up and installation of the system was easy. The ability to customized the system around our organization was another selling point.

Cons: The system can be slightly cumbersome at times and it does not always have the ease of use I expected.

Overall: Our ability to track and manage equipment has proven invaluable to the organization. The system also brings a level of transparency to the work request process that was deeply needed and truly valued.

This is a contract part of our maintenance agreement with our Mechanical vendor

Pros: There is a lot of different ways of doing the same thing. However that can also be a negative when it comes to training or attempting to gather reports to ensure you always have the set criteria .

Pros: Allows me to keep track of who is performing what task and whether or not it gets completed on time.

Cons: It can get confusing to navigate through and is slightly unclear. For example, there are many reports that sound like what you are looking for but, when you run the report it may not return the desired information.

Pros: This software is easy to use and is easily accessible by everyone in my organization. I like that it is computer friendly and does not take a lot of work to use.

Overall: We are able to connect with our maintenance department on a daily basis without having to wait for a long time to submit the requests or receive that answers if the work was completed.

Pros: It's very easy to use. The user interface looks user friendly for any type of user whether from IT or non IT.

Cons: I like to see more of the description on the submit form instead of going to the help page. I prefer to have all of the fields more descriptiove i.e. I prefer to have one line of description after below each of the fields.

Pros: I like the ease of use and how it helps keep track of our assets. We know when to update or maintain certain parts and what should be replaced.

Cons: from what i remember, I think the costs were a bit high for each modules, but i guess that is the cost of doing business.

To many steps to either set up a piece of equipment or even write a work order.

Pros: Capability to clone a written or even a closed work order . Able to go to the list page and select numerous work orders at one time.

Cons: 2 things really bother me about this system 1st it is very difficult to attach a check sheet style document that you already have written. There are also many steps from start to finish when first setting up the equipment and then even when writing a work order.

Pros: Ease of use. This is a simple program for technical users. The software is easy to use and has been debugged so there is not any issues that cause problems. I have not had any problems in my daily use of maintenance connection.

Cons: Excessive typing required. I was hoping that we could automate filling in some more areas with drop down menus

Overall: Make my daily job easier

Nothing but positive, every question I have is always answered.

Pros: I guess what I like best is that you can make it work the way you want. The mechanics like that it is so easy to use as well, work orders are easy to assign and complete. It really makes life a lot easier.

Cons: The thing I like least is surveys, we use LDAP and when surveys are returned we don't always know who sent them, makes it hard to follow up.

Pros: Maintenance schedules are a good feature. Inventory tracking and reorder works well. History of parts on specific units is nice to do a quick search. Does a great job of tracking everything if set up properly at the start.

Cons: Some reports are lacking options. The invoice statement needs to be able to be customized by the user.

Pros: Customer Support is top notch. The cloud hosted database has a lot of benefits such as included scripting support.

Cons: SQL assistance in Reporter. The end user is expected to know enough about SQL not to screw up reports.

Pros: The software offers many features of higher end products while retaining a user friendly environment. Dollar for dollar, the best system I have used.

Cons: I can think of very few down sides to this software and most of those fall in the "user preference" category. I have used Maximo, MP2, iMaint and a few oddballs and none combines the versatility and features for the same money as Maintenance Connection.

Overall: Better spare parts Inventory control, faster maintenance response times, better scheduling and implementation of preventive maintenance program, excellent reporting package.

Pros: I like the reports you can run and the graphics. It does take some getting used to or attending some classes before you feel like you know what you're doing though.

Cons: There are a lot of functions and options that you need to narrow down and tweak before it starts to click, at least that's how it was for me.

Pros: Reporting is easy, and can export into CSV files. I also like that I can email the report directly to the requester.

Cons: I see every report for every area. It would be nice to add or delete reports that only apply to my section

Overall: I don't have to manage work order progress manually through an excel file. I have historical data at my fingertips

Pros: The software is web based and hosted so for our money this takes the burden off of our IT department. This along with their superior customer support gives us confidence that the software will flex to our needs.

The reporting tools stands out also. There is nothing that can't be found through a report. The ability to customize reports puts a personal touch to each one.

Cons: As with everything there is a cost associated with it. Along those lines, the separation of mobile. It would be nice if MC Express what just part of the overall package. Having to purchase Add-ons is not something that is usually in the cards.

Overall: Ease of use, excellent customer support, and unparalleled reporting.

MC people are easy to get along with, very hopefully and most of all patient. The system works to.

Pros: That is web based, my users don't have to install anything, download any software, or worry about upgrades. Also the customer support team is pretty good, and helpful.

Cons: Been using the software for over two years and haven't found much cons, maybe that they should do Checkpoint reunion twice a year.

Pros: The ease of use. They way it's set up with the "compass" is so user friendly. The reporting is also very easy to use, and a lot of canned reports are helpful as well.

Comments: MC ( Maintenance Connection) not good for big company because it's a cloud base CMMS software and I think this is the MC weakness because after a short time of use, the browser cash is full and the software can't work correctly, after this the value will show in MC-CMMS is not correct and finally you can't log-in in the software befor you clear the browser cash and history.

Pros: It,s easy to use in home page and Most feature Accessible in home page. It's fast to login and loading.

Cons: You can login with one user in multi system, but not support remote assistant. Good for small company.

Pros: The thing that I liked the most about setting up assets in the program was how easy the program was to use.

Cons: I really have no complaints about this software; but as I stated, I was only helping to set everything up when the company purchased the software.

Pros: I can monitor all my assets and have a history trail showing my problematic assets. Also like the ease of tracking costs for jobs.

Cons: There is no way to change a username, so when staff gets married and wants to change the last name the software wont let me.

Cons: Can not add updates to a work order record without reissuing the work order which upsets the time and meter units for the asset. Program should allow option to edit without impacting the meter unit set for the job

Pros: i appreciate the different reports you run. I also like that I can save reports only for myself that keeps others from manipulating.

Cons: I feel like I am always clicking a second button to select apply or save. For example, in reports, you have to select the report and then hit Run Report. Couldn't you just go to the next page immediately? Nit picky, I know.

Overall: It makes reporting for our department so much easier. Once reports are created you can do just about anything. I love that you can export them to Excel and manipulate them however you see fit.

Pros: Easy to use! We manage over 100 pieces of equipment and over 3000 inventory items, so it's nice to have all of our data in one place. Reports are easy to create, and I have had nothing but excellent support from the help desk on several occasions.

Pros: The ability to track downtime, repetitive failures, and labor hours. By viewing repetitive failures, this sets off a trigger to put in a long term corrective action that will more than likely have a favorable payback.

Cons: The operator experience. If someone doesn't work on a computer routinely, sometimes they have a difficult time entering work orders and navigating the system.

Pros: The potential behind this software is impressive. One of our facilities have been using M/C for years and the manager uses this as his one stop shop for everything he works on... from the largest capital projects (complete project management) to the simplest PO order. Managing our inventory, parts, equipment and labor - so much information is available via reporting and historically; it truly makes a difference when evaluating products, requests, resources or incidents. Bottom line, the success of this software, it is about how much time, energy and effort you want to put forth and how much support you have from your up line.

Cons: Support. Routing calls to support or relying on support response can be frustrating. They have some amazing and brilliant people within the support group, please realize that - but getting to them or navigating through the phone system to leave a message is aggravating. More, it is irksome that if I do talk with someone they ask me if I looked on their help page first. Sometimes, that is not enough and I should not be shamed because they are being called.

Use it everyday, helps keep my maintenance team on time.

Pros: Flexible Inventory Setup, PM scheduling, Asset Tracking, ability to put more than one vendor to individual parts in inventory is a super plus. Ability to have multiple warehouse and shops also a plus.

Cons: Down time tracking not flexible - needs improvement. Some of the canned reports are not useful for our plants, would like to see more barcode integration.

Overall: Allows me to keep my OEE above the company standard. Allows us to keep up with needed parts and helps reduce cost associated with preventative maintenance needs.

Pros: It's hard to narrow down what I like MOST! The service team is spectacular - they are always prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The software itself has been a huge help to our facility, the fact that it is a one stop shop for everything we need, has made managing work orders an incredibly smooth task.

Cons: The software is a little complex (for behind the scenes work & customization), we do usually need some help from the service team to figure out how to execute some tasks, which is not a huge downfall by any means since they are so great to work with!

Pros: It has the potential to do a lot, we just don't know how to harness the power! It has many different modules.

Cons: It is not very customizable. Some things can be altered based on preference but it is a complicated process unless you request help from support. It also has a lot of quirks. When things go wrong I will reach out to the support team and they usually have to analyze code to diagnose and correct the problem.

Overall: I don't really get a benefit from the software. It is simply what we have to use.

MC has made plant organization top notch.

Pros: The ability to instantly speak and interact with a support person to address issues in real time and on the spot. Very customizable yet simple.

Pros: The software is easy to work with and allows me to submit work orders quickly. It also allows me to relay detailed information to our Maintenance team in regards to maintenance related needs.

Pros: Ease of use and how in depth it is, 5 star customer service. How you can set up PM's to become auto generating and assigned to the proper people.

Cons: When opening up any option it opens a new page on the browser. Sometimes the system stops working while I'm in the middle of updating a process and I have re do the whole thing.

Overall: Ease of PM planning, ease of workorder management and direction to the team from a central system that everyone can use easily.

Pros: It is is very user friendly to navigate through the different selections. Above all else, when there is an issue customer service support team responds immediately.

Cons: Every once in awhile the systems get very slow and take forever to load the page (no it is not our internet). A few other options that I'd want to change for myself, however, doesn't give the option to do so.

After the initial population of data etc. and setting up the hierarchy trees, MC is easy to use!

Pros: I'm audited quite frequently by our customers and each one I've shown the maintenance Connection Program to has liked it.
I can virtually run our maintenance department without physically being there which really helps me keep tabs when I'm on vacation.
The inventory module forces us to be organized which helps with the 6S program.

Cons: We are a cloud user and I think it's mainly because of our company securities, I have to store my documents on a Google drive and link it in.
The only one-on-one training I've had was when the bus traveled to MPLS. They don't seem to get close to the upper Midwest.

Overall: It helps the maintenance department and me stay organized.

Pros: Maintenance Connection allows us to keep all of our assets organized and structure our asset tree as we see fit. All work is documented and saved. We can have all cost, downtime, and other asset information together in one place. This program works well if you have everyone putting in an effort to utilize the different features that it offers.

Cons: Customizing reports can be difficult if you don't know what you are doing or how you want it or have to many factors that you need. However, customer service is a huge help and can usually help you customize your report.

Pros: easy to use and teachable to employees! It has a lot of modules that are very helpful and the history of assets are such a plus. Scanning parts is easy and helps in our accounting procedures.

Pros: Flexibility - you can customize this software to work in many different businesses.
Ability to set up different security access levels for different users.

Cons: Customer Support (Canada) When we asked questions that would help us in the basic set up of our assests on the program, they were not able to answer our questions but they did get a hold of a different client and they were able to help us.
When we asked about how the security levels all related and a step by step, we were informed they have not competed that yet and to simply go in and try different options.

Overall: Implemented a comprehensive computerized maintenance program at our company.

Pros: As stated above when I first started using MC I was nervous but once I started using it each day was easier and easier it was pretty fast.

Cons: The Labor time sheet is still a bit clunky, would have like to see there be more changed to that on the last update.

Pros: Notifications, and reporting help make great decisions on what's important. Accurate and easy to understand information help organize and direct the people that perform the work.

Cons: A full GIS integration on the mobile platform. Having a map of the area, to start your WO would be a great benefit to those who aren't in the office.

Overall: Integration with our other software makes information flow accurate and easy. Reports help point us in the direction we need to go, and notifications make sure that everyone knows the same thing.

Pros: I like that it gives me the information I need quickly when asked a question about my inventory. I can scan and attach documents in the software.

Cons: Sometimes it takes to long to save input. I don't like when I'm trying to input something and it fails to do so.

Overall: I can keep better track of inventory and it helps with tracking asset problems.
