OEVRALL CLASS DOJO IS GREAT DURING COVID SINCE WE ARE NOT IN SCHOOL AND IS A HUGE PIECE OF COMMUNICATION FOR THE PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND STUDENTS.

Pros

I ENJOY THAT YOU CAN HAVE MULTIPLE USERS FOR AN ACCOUNT, IE. I AM A PARENT IN MY STUDENTS ACCOUNT AND I AM ABLE TO SEE WHAT HE IS EXPECTED OF. IT ALSO IS A GREAT COMMUNICATION TOOL WITH TECAHERS AND STAFF.

Cons

I DID NOT LIKE THAT YOU HAVE TO BE ADDED TO EACH CLASS INDIVUALLY BY THE TEACHER OR USE A CODE, THAT AT TIMES CAN BE DIFFICULT WHEN YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE STUDENT.

Pros

Super easy to use and allows myself, the student, and the parent to monitor behavior and communicate easily about any concerns.

Cons

I love everything about the Dojo. Students love picking out their character and seeing the reward for good behavior all week.

All of our elementary teachers have a Dojo account and parents of all students are invited to participate as well. It is an easy, effective and efficient method to communicate to parents quickly regarding the progress and/or behavior of students.

Pros

The east and quickness with which to communicate to parents is exceptional.

Cons

There are no cons that I'm aware of at this point.

I've been using ClassDojo as a virtual teacher for the past year. It has worked well to incentivize students without relying on tangible rewards (which are especially difficult in virtual learning) and to keep parents in touch. Although I love the translate function, caution must be used when communicating with parents who will rely on this function. Messages need to be simplified as much as possible in order to get the message across. I love being able to communicate quickly with parents.

Pros

\- Establishes a connection to parents - Non-tangible reward system - Ability to share visuals / videos easily

Cons

\- Translation function isn't always ideal or reliable - Difficulty sending single messages out to groups within a class on the app

The ClassDojo allows me to keep in touch and on top of what is happening with my children, while allowing me to still be active in my business without missing a beat. ClassDojo is giving me flexibility within my business to have time for my children and my customers.

Pros

I love this app it gives me the opportunity to talk with my childrens' teacher's and see how my child has been performing in class. I get updates on things they are doing in class or special events. I can communicate with the teacher via the message system within ClassDojo.

Cons

I love the app it has worked fine for me over these past years and there isn't anything at this time that I do not like least about this app.

Pros

As a user, I use ClassDojo to keep track of my kid's study progress. I know more about the class activities and the teacher's feedback.

Cons

ClassDojo does not support video conferencing. If you want to talk to teachers/your kid at school, you need to use other tools.

Overall Classdojo is a great program for students and to keep in touch with parents. There is really not any major flaws with the software.

Pros

Classdojo is a free simple to use and effective software. It can help encourage positive behavior within children. Classdojo is also great for communicating with parents about their child in the classroom. It is easy for parents and teachers to get in touch about their child. The children also love to use the program and picking out their monsters.

Cons

There really isn’t much bad to the software. One possible bad thing is if one child falls behind they can feel demotivated. Children can also develop bad bragging habits on children they are ahead of.

Of course your child doesn't always tell you everything that is happening, especially if it isn't good, so it's nice to be able to just check and app and see if they got in trouble or had a good day as well. Cause they don't always relay that either.

Pros

I love that you can get daily reports about your child. You can see if they behaved themselves with cute graphics and charts. Pictures are sometimes posted as well if there are trips or special events.

Cons

This depends on the teacher keeping up with the app of course.

When I first began using DoJo, I used it for points with students. The following year, I used it for points and communication with parents. The app makes it super convenient and you can see when the parents have read your message. It keeps the messages in a thread, so it's always there. I love that! The next year, I only used it for parent communication because I needed to use a clip chart in the classroom and doing both points and the clip chart was too much. I feel it's a great software product that offers a lot of positive with much ease.

Pros

What I love most about this is the ability to communicate with students and parents. I use the point system if I am not using a clip chart, but the point system works well also.

Cons

I do not find any cons with using this software.

Pros

I love that this software allows me to keep track on my son while he's in school.

Pros

This was a great app/product to keep in contact with my child’s teacher. This year they are using the remind app and I don’t like it near as much. Class dojo was simple. Always got alerts when there was something new posted. Could email teacher one on one. My child could send her work in to her teacher. Extremely user friendly .

Cons

There really wasn’t anything . We had no problems. The teacher stated she she had login issues sometimes but we never did

Pros

I like the fact that my two kids can have their own profiles from school, and I can also create profiles for them to use at home. We had a good experience using points to encouraging my kids to have good behavior and do homework and other activities.

Cons

Switching between profiles is not so straight forward, especially for the initial login.

Pros

It a great way for the teacher and the provide daily updates/reports for your child. Easy to use and efficient way of communicating/getting daily reports.

Cons

Less features/options compared to other similar software. In my experience it was used only for communication between teacher/parent where as other platforms also allow students to share work and for the parent to communicate directly with the student.

What I like most about this app is the way it makes it so easy to connect with my children’s teachers. I can send a message very quickly when any issues arise

Cons

What I like least is that when they updated the app it made it a little harder to use with adding a place for the child themselves to use.

I love the ability to group students for point-earning! The student stories are also amazing. It's a great way to document artifacts of student learning.

I don't like that students can't see each other's stories. It loses the interaction element that seems like it would be an easy feature to add.

Sometimes the app stalls or the app freezes which requires it to be restarted causing delays in communication

I love the messaging system that comes with dojo. I especially love how you can download the transcript of conversations.

Cons

I wish when you downloaded messages it would include dates and times and pictures as well. It would just make it easier to save.

It has been positive, and a good way to have a connection between the classroom and students' homes.

Pros

The ability to track student participation (through Dojo points) and let parents know what is happening in the classroom (through text and pictures) is great to help build and maintain parent relationships.

Cons

Some parents do not want to download it, and if they don't, then they will miss out on everything you try to share with them.
