Being able to get real time updates on my child’s behavior throughout the day.

Pros

I like that I can get updates from my child’s teacher throughout the day. Messages abc pictures are all in one location with several emails from the teachers.

Cons

The previous years teachers, notes,messages and pictures do not go away when the year is over and child has been assigned to a new class.

ClassDojo is a great software that works best in elementary classrooms when the teacher has the same group of students all day. As a junior high teacher with multiple classes, the set-up was time consuming and maintaining was even more difficult.

Pros

This is completely free. You can track students' behavior and communicate with parents. It works on all devices and also has random student selectors, timers, and groupers all built in.

Cons

The one feature it is missing is the ability to position students by their seating chart. It is easier to find students this way rather than trying to find their name to reward them or make a note of bad behavior.

My overall experience has been great. Its easily accessible. Gives so much information. It is accessible for the children as well. There are many features to explore. Im definitely recommending to others.

Pros

I love that its easiky accessed by children and adults.

Cons

Not much i dont like, just thibk i need to explore more. there is alot of features.

I have had an overall good experience.

Pros

I have 3 boys that are 9 and under. The schools have always used the Remind app to communicate with parents. I have liked the Remind app and I still do. This year they switched over to Class Dojo and OMG!! I love it!!! It is set up like classroom social media. The teachers are able to give points and take away points for positive or negative behavior and I can see this on the app throughout the day. I can also give my boys points for behaviors at home. The points can lead to rewards. I am able to keep up with reports for all 3 boys very easily.

Cons

The free trial limits what you can do. It is my opinion that they price for the full app is pricey, especially since it is for schools. I also don't like that I can't download the pictures sent from the teachers throughout the day without paying for the full app.

Pros

We recently started taking my son to a new daycare and had to switch from Procare to ClassDojo because that is what their daycare uses. I like the messaging portion and being able to communicate directly with my son's teacher.

Cons

So far, I don't have a great impression of ClassDojo. It seems that almost time I open the app, I get some sort of pop up to pay extra for an "upgraded version". I am already paying an arm and a leg for daycare, so this seems highly unnecessary.

ClassDojo is easy to use and I would suggest it to any other districts looking to clearly communicate with parents.

Pros

ClassDojo allows me to keep in contact with my children's teachers on a daily basis. During these unprecedented times this is very important.

Cons

I have not had any struggles with ClassDojo as of yet. We have used it pre Covid and I can't imagine not having it now.

Our families love ClassDojo! Many of our parents work off shifts and this allows them to still check in with the teachers and monitor how their child is doing in class. We also use ClassDojo to announce districts events, share principal letters, and SEL resources for home!

Pros

I love how engaging Class Dojo has become for both students and parents! We use this program for individual classes, but also for announcements for our entire district!

Cons

There isn't anything I dislike about Class Dojo. As an administrator I would like to see the ability to control of teachers can give negative points or not.

Pros

This software is simple and easy to set up even a novice can do it. Helps you know how your child is doing in school and easily communicate with the teachers.

Cons

I really do not have any cons to report with Class Dojo, it is a well-made software that is easy to use.

My sons elementary school uses this and its a great and simple way for parents and teachers to stay connected.

Pros

The software is easy so that parents of all levels can use it to keep up with the Childs classroom and activities. Great to see pictures during the day!

Cons

Takes some time to get a signup and enrolled to be able to use. Sign up process could be made a little easier.

Easy to figure out. There is a ton of ideas on the internet for use.

Pros

I love that I can easily reward students for doing what they are supposed to be doing. It is also a great way to communicate with parents.

Cons

More options for avatars. The kids get bored with them and sometimes want them to look more like them themselves. But I love it so not a problem for me.

It has been such a wonderful and easy way to communicate with my children’s teachers. During the shutdowns it was so helpful in keeping in touch even though the kids weren’t in school.

I really cannot think of anything I didn’t like about the software. It is user friendly and extensive helpful.

My experience was overall neutral until I needed to contact customer service. I was left unsatisfied which lead me to deleting my account.

Pros

I thought the ease of access to communication with my son's teacher was worth the app in the beginning.

Cons

It's a major red flag that this app has no actual number to contact customer service you have to communicate via email and the customer service experience was terrible.

This was a super fun and cool program that (even though it's for classrooms) was awesome for training and teaching my clients in groups. I was able to categorize them, track them, give them awards, make them fun little characters, and so on.

Cons

It always automatically wants to populate mail out invites every time. A little annoying.

I have used it for 4 or 5 years and it is a useful tool for communicating w/parents and for students to log work, journals and even pictures of their hard work with parents that are connected. Parents love it, too.

Pros

Portfolio features added this year are a great way to share work with parents and we can keep their work product in their data binders in class.

Cons

I don't have any negative feedback for dojo. I love it.

Interface is visually pleasing, app loads fast enough. Good Privacy policy as of december 2019.

Cons

Options are not where you expect them to be. Frequently pings end users with unwanted notifcations. End user notifications that are wanted often do not load relevant pages and instead make the end user search for it.
