This has made learning run smoothly during the pandemic.

Pros

The user friendly options and the app are the best things about Class DOJO. Parents are able to access information easily and staying in communication as never been easier.

Cons

The ease for some parents learning how to log in is one of the issues many parents had. I wish it would also send a message that says teacher is not in office hours when late messages are sent.

I would definitely recommend using ClassDojo if you want to switch up your classroom management.

Pros

This software is an app which makes it super easy to use on the go. I liked the ease of use and how quickly you are able to track data and manage behaviors. The kids can also see where they stand. The parents can also have access which allow them to play apart in their children's education. Also allows for open communication.

Cons

The one thing I did not like about his software is how easily the students could get access to their parents accounts and could message from there. I think there could possibly be more security there.

I love class dojo! This app makes teaching and connecting with my students and their families a breeze! It’s an amazing alternative from texting off my personal device! Love the dojo points system too! It helps keep the students engaged and eager to earn points, and let’s the parents/families know about how their child is doing throughout the day!

Pros

Class dojo not only makes it easy to connect with parents/students but you can also post daily updates, pictures, etc with it. There’s also some great class management tools on there! I love it!

Cons

Sometimes the app will freeze or close out and I may have to type a message again, but overall it functions properly the most of the time.

Pros

I'm writing as an end user. It was free to me through my kid's school. I love being able to see my elementary kid's progress in school. The teacher sends updates on what's going on in the class, and we also get pictures of their activities. I love it.

Cons

Don't really have anything I don't like.

I don't like the idea of being granted points and having points taken away. Child are not energized by having points taken away and it seems more negative than it needs to be.

Pros

Not only is this amazing, but it is free! It is a huge motivator in my classroom. Students love to see the progress they make daily. It is an easy way to communicate to the students and the parents daily. It is a great tracking system so that I can go back at any time to see what their previous behavior has been.

Cons

I think it is great! Easy to use and well received by students and parents.

### "Helpful Communication Tool"

I began using this tool when our state when from in-personal learning to remote learning due to COVID-19. I was looking for an effective way to communicate with families, other than email or phone, and this fit the bill perfectly. It allows me to send personal messages to one person, or post a message that is automatically sent to all families. It is pretty easy to use, and allowed for parents to communicate with me easily. I also liked that I could set "quiet hours," and parents would receive an automatic message saying that I may not reply until the following day if they messaged me after a certain time. This became convenient, as some parents repeatedly sent messages after 10 PM!

Pros

This product is easy to use. I enjoy that I can set specific hours for availability, and download the app right to my phone as well. It is an easy and effective communication tool.

Cons

I noticed that sometimes the messages would not update as often on an app as they did on the computer, or that there were some technical difficulties with parents accessing the messages. As a new user, I'm not sure if this is possible, but I don't think you can send a message to two users at the same time. This would be convenient for students with more than one parent in the Dojo.

Pros

I use this in a class with children who have autism. This is a great program when working in a group. The other kids see their peers earning points for good behavior and it turns in to a competition for who can earn the most. Parents also have access to see how many points their child has earned for the day.

Cons

It can have a lag on adding points, but I'm not sure if that is the program or the internet.

Overall it's been a great experience with ClassDojo

Pros

I liked the ease of use and variety of features included. Love the timer, music, motivational videos, partner randomizer, and communication with parents option.

Cons

I would like at times for parents to be able to view the student data, but NOT be able to reply and text me constantly. I would rather parents have to reply to me on my school email as the text feather seems less formal from my experience.

very nice to be able to stay up to date on what my daughters class is doing and seeing some photos of the class or their work as well

Pros

Very easy initial setup. Was quick and simple to link to my daughters 'profile' in her class

Cons

Haven't come across anything that is an actual issue at this time. Would be nice if you could adjust the profile photo you pick for your account, like sizing/positioning

Pros

The ability to review the content available being posted and the "like" feature of a heart. I really enjoy that similar to Instagram. The options to create your own profile are great as well. I also like the free features it does have with grading your child's behavior and the easy way of communicating with staff. The audio and images and the overall theme of the app is nice.

Cons

If you don't pay for the app you get a less version limited access to things. You can still use the app and it's free basic version which is still good. But for pictures that the school might post throughout the year that content is unable to be viewed unless you pay for the plan. Some of the title names for staff is not correct or limited to certain available names the app provides. An edit feature for staff would be nice for each staff to appropriately title themselves.

Class Dojo is fun and can be a great tool for teachers and parents alike. We enjoyed it as parents more than I enjoyed it as a junior high teacher.

Pros

My daughter's teacher used Class Dojo to connect with parents. It was nice that we could easily send the teacher a quick message about our daughter. The teacher could also send out reminders to the parents. It was also fun when the teacher added pictures or videos from the class for the parents to see. As a teacher, I have played around a little with Class Dojo. It is nice to take roll or to mark students' progress. You can mark a student who has done work.

Cons

You have to input everything twice. So, I can take roll on Class Dojo, but it won't port over to my grading software. I can track the students' progress, but I have to input the grades later.

Pros

Every teacher cringes a bit when they come up with an idea for increased parent involvement. Not because they don't like to talk to parents, but because it is time consuming and often gets in the way of doing our jobs the best. ClassDojo actually saves you time. It's seamlessly integrated into everything you do and when parents see it, you actually have less needless questions every week.

Cons

The behavioral points system isn't something I believe in. It creates a system where students are all trying to compete in an unhealthy manner. I simply don't use that function as a result.

Every since my son started elementary school all of his teachers use Dojo. The kids also get excited about the Dojo points they earn. Messaging back and fourth is easy and another form of communication with the teacher.

Pros

I love how I can see how my child is doing everyday. It allows me to talk to him based upon Dojo. I think every elementary school should use ClassDojo.

Cons

The only con that I have is, if my phone is not working then I can not check ClassDojo. Dojo is the bomb!

I could connect with teachers quickly on a daily basis , and receive quick replies. I could see about her day, and give her stars for things she was doing at home . Love this app and highly recommend it !
