### "Happy we made the switch to GrowthZone"

We are very happy we made the switch to GrowthZone, and we look forward utilizing all it has to offer with our members!

Pros

Very user friendly, and has all the features we need to manage and interact with our members. We have even seen an increase in event revenue since making the switch!

Cons

While the training process was awesome, we seem to have a delay in getting support in a timely manner with questions.

### "Great Product"

I have had a very good experience with GrowthZone. When I need help they are always so nice and helpful. There is never going to be a product that can do 100% of what you want 100% of the time. Considering the ease of use this product meets most of our needs. Growthzone has reached out to me several times over the course of 2 years for my thoughts about future improvements, etc. I really appreciate that and feel like I have a voice with GZ.

Pros

I love that our database, events, and billing all sync. If someone registers for an event and changes their organization for example it is so easy to get everything updated and keep the database clean.

Cons

I wish the events module was more robust, especially for conferences with exhibitors. It is very basic now.

I have been using GrowthZone since April of this year and have used many databases in the past and by far GZ has been the easiest to utilize and grow accustomed to. It is very user-friendly and the customizable capabilities are unmatched!

Pros

\-Incredible customizable capabilities within reports -Widgets show a great snapshot and are also customizable to what you want -GREAT live customer service (speedy response time) -GZ Help feature is a game changer -System is very user-friendly

Cons

\-When live customer service is not up, sometimes your inquires do not get responded to within a week's time which is tough when it is urgent

### "Happy with Growth Zone"

I am overall happy with Growth Zone and would definitely recommend it to anyone that's looking for an AMS system.

Pros

I love that everything is in one place and I can run very helpful reports. I love that it syncs with M1 and our MLS- which is SO important.

Cons

I don't utilize the full billing functionality because I haven't had time to set up and use fully. I did just recently learn some new things - which I grateful for but could use more suggestions and helps.

I have only been using since March, but have been very happy with it. I can't comment on cost, because it's through my company. But seems to be well worth it. I like that I can add notes, link task after making updated notes. The events are easy to set up and edit.

Pros

The ability to have some much info in one place. It's very user friendly and easy to navigate and edit. The way our organization uses it is a life saver.

Cons

Sometimes the upload drags. I have not tried to send emails directly through the system yet, but a coworker mentioned if it's sent directly through GZ it goes to spam a lot. But she did share there is a way to bypass so will try that at some point.

I have enjoyed my overall experience with GrowthZone. I would recommend this platform to other organizations, especially nonprofit organizations.

Pros

The platform is user-friendly because it is easy to navigate. I create our bi-weekly newsletter and schedule networking events as well as quarterly luncheons. I can create a flyer on Canva and easily upload the documents to GrowthZone.

Cons

I create newsletters; sometimes, it isn't easy to control the spacing between text, so the email often has dead space. The newsletter is still nice.

I like it, I've used many CRM's, including, SalesForce, Anasazi, Community Care Link, and more, and this one performs on roughly the same level.

Pros

It is fairly straight forward to use and the membership/contact mgmt is top notch.

Cons

It is still fairly bland as far as appearances go, especially on the front end. I think reporting could be made easier especially in membership fee accounting.

### "Easy to use CRM with great reports"

The onboarding was very well organized, and the learning modules were easy to follow.

Pros

The visual layout of key performance indicators to easily track and see changes in revenue, membership, event participation, etc.

Cons

The newsletter or communications section could be more robust to become comparable to other vendors like Emma or ConstantContact. It’s what we use to engage and promote our events and membership, so the marketing tool is very important.

### "The best investment of time, energy, and money we have made!"

GrowthZone has been a huge learning curve, but a fascinating one. It has made things so much easier on the back end of all of our processes. I just said today that if I had the time I could dive in to GrowthZone and spend hours making our systems even better. There are so many options and abilities to streamline work with this system.

Pros

So many things! They are hard to name. See the previous page for specific comments.

Cons

We would like to see the events area improved some. The exhibitors section does not jive well with the sponsors. Our sponsors get free event tickets and the ability to exhibit as well. Also, the event emails show the sponsor logos looking jumbled and mismatched so we were not able to show our sponsors when using that function. (I used the email designer when we needed to show our sponsors.) The sponsor logos also look different on the event page vs. the registration page. We much prefer the format used on the registration page. Finally, it would be awesome to be able to create a landing page for an event. We tried to use the event page for that purpose, but it was hard because the description box is not like the website tool, it is very 'old school' to do graphics and text in. For our next conference we will build a web page to have it look more professional.

A map feature in the reporting section would be great - be able to map member visits based on the addresses in the system. We currently do this manually but it would be nice to use our database instead.

I knew GrowthZone would improve the logistics of managing our association, but I have been blown away by just how much it has improved! I highly recommend this application!

Pros

I love the integration of the events and membership directory into our website. It helps me manage those two items much more efficiently. I love that I can create invoices within GZ. I love that my members can create login information, which allows me to continue to share information that is a benefit to our members.

Cons

I just wish I had more flexibility with the Email Marketing feature. It is great, but I had more flexibility with our former website provider that I miss in GZ. I also need to learn more about the Quickbooks integration.

Reason for choosing GrowthZone

I chose GrowthZone because it felt more integrated and less like a bunch of widgets pieced together. It just felt more streamlined than the other products.

My overall experience has been great. I've worked with four AMS platforms now (five if you include Excel) and if I needed to acquire an association's first AMS, or had a straightforward membership program and needed an AMS at a very fair price point, I would 100% look to GrowthZone.

Pros

I can't really pinpoint one aspect since I'm in the software all the time, but a few include: member management/CRM, registration, reporting, and email templates/automation.

Cons

There is not as much customizability as I'd like to see, but the GrowthZone setup has pretty good options to select from and use.

Overall, I find this is one of the best Association Management software suites that I have used and I have used quite a few! it feels like the developers understand the association world and have built the software with several of the exceptions that may come up in associations

Pros

Ease of use and navigation. Can pretty much figure things out on your own and if not, knowledge base is helpful.

Cons

If you do need to reach customer support, it sometimes take a bit for them to get back to you.

### "GrowthZone - So Far, So Good"

Pros

Our association had been searching for a new AMS after being with our old system for over 7 years. We needed something fresh & up-to-date for our members. After a couple of months of research and demo requests, we decided to go with GrowthZone. We really like that this company offers a mobile app for our members. We also got a new website through GrowthZone which is considerably better than our old, slow site. We've received a lot of compliments from our members already. The system seems to be fairly simple to use for billing, event management and membership organization. We have not gone through a membership renewal season yet so can not speak to how smoothly that runs.

Cons

We did have an issue with moving our members into the system on the backend before launching GrowthZone association-wide. The issue had to do with our membership agency tiers versus individual professional accounts. A huge number of members had to be added manually only to find out that there was another work around that we were not made aware of. It got taken care of but was certainly a headache and waste of staff time in the beginning.

We appreciate the customer service that we receive from Growthzone, considering the major time differences between Guam and your support staffs' locations. They are always pleasant and supportive.

Pros

Overall, we are very pleased with Growthzone as a membership management software. This has been a challenge for us in the past. We really like that everything we input about the membership in the back end integrates with the website and that we have control of managing our site. Web site templates are pleasing and up to date. Members like having access to their information and updating at their convenience.

Cons

We would greatly appreciate any support from Growthzone to integrate with Quickbooks. Having our membership information align with our accounting would be a dream. Right now we export with excel but we are still having to work out discrepancies between the two platforms. We also request that Growthzone works with other credit card application software such as Paypal. Right now our members cannot pay on-demand as many would like. We would work with Stripe but this program will not work with us in Guam, even if Guam is a U.S. Territory. Any support Growthzone can provide in this area would be greatly appreciated.

### "Could be great with a little work"

We chose GZ because it offered us the ability to use the same company for website development and hosting and AMS system ensuring compatibility. We are very happy with the look and feel of our website and the CMS used to manage it. Our migration to GZ for the AMS side was rocky at best. Our project manager had never gone through a detailed conversion before. While she was very service oriented and nice to work with, her inexperience caused many issues. We like GZ's ability to give a good view of member activity. I like that when I am on the phone with a member, I can see their engagement, make notes, and create follow up task items. G

Pros

The user interface, look, and feel of the back end. Also like the ability to integrate with the company website to create a good member only user experience. It also has a pretty good project management system, though it desperately needs push notifications via email. The only notification it provides is a badge count on the top menu of the software. So if you are disciplined to check there, the PM works well. GZ also has a certification/continuing education component which we find valuable.

Cons

Customer support needs work. GZ is very slow to respond to issues. Many times entered tickets are not responded to (first response) for 3 or more days (I am not counting the automated message generated that the ticket was received and someone would review). And, when the "front line" or 1st level support team reaches out, frequently they aren't completely familiar with the ins and outs of the software, so the first 3 emails or 15 minutes of the call are spent teaching them how the system works. The communications functionality has a great vision, but is inconsistent and extremely buggy. It is difficult and many times impossible to send a merged email to multiple members. Members get emails or newsletters with the fields not merged properly. It feels like the database was not developed with a vision and as the software was enhanced and features added, bandaids were placed on the tables to make them work together. Field naming is inconsistent and many times not working as a true relational database. Feels like a consequence of growing quickly and not having one responsible group overseeing the programming growth. Different naming philosophy throughout different modules.

The help team at GrowthZone are polite, helpful and responsive. Getting someone to respond through chat or email or phone is a challenge.Not having immediate help desk at all times can be challenging.

Pros

I specifically like the coordination between the database and website. I also really like the new email designer. It saves me time, looks modern and professional. I was not part of the integration process.

Cons

The lack of compatibility with Quickbooks. Changing/using/finding template letters, form letters, template emails, etc. is confusing.

GZ has been a great change in how we provide services and information to our members.

Pros

\-ease of use; great user interface, on both the association and member side-array of design options-ability to customize-communication options (scheduling of emails, drip campaigns, forms and surveys)-ease of billing ( we've seen an increase of dues being paid ON TIME )-website+management integration (this has made our work lives MUCH easier)-THE TOP NOTCH onboarding team and process to get us set up and running

Cons

honestly, any trouble we've run into, customer service has been amazing with walking us through or fixing the issue. We have not come across anything major in the past 15mos we've been using Growthzone.
