### "Solid & Dependable"

August 29, 2019

5.0

LPT:One saves our staff time and effort by automating a lot of the print release functionality when a member of the public prints from our public access computers.

Pros

It has been dependable & stable for years now. Its simple to use once setup and our patrons generally have no trouble navigating it.

Cons

The interface for both staff and the public is dated and feels (even if it doesn't actually function) clunky

Reason for choosing LPT:One

Our director's prior positive experience with LPT:One and its cost advantage over other solutions.

### "A Library Life Saver"

February 19, 2020

5.0

We have a limited number of computer stations and not a huge staff. Having a system that keeps track of when a patron is using a station/for how long is wonderful. People aren't likely to argue with a computerized system, the program keeps track of their time, counts it down even and allows for extensions. All of this combined cuts down greatly on the amount of time that staff has to dedicate to this which frees us up to do more customer services duties.

Pros

Envisionware LPT: One saves hours of labor time for our small staff. Being able to manage the usage time of our patrons and public computers through this system not only saves on man hour's but also the headache of being the person to tell someone that their time is up.

Cons

We've experienced not real issues with the software other than a few small glitches that came about when we added more stations and experienced a building move. The Evnvisionware staff helped walk us through this though and everything was remedied.

Reason for choosing LPT:One

Cost of the product and great customer service were definitely factors. Envisionware is good for a small budget and easy to contact for trouble shooting issues that might arise.

### "Customer Service Nightmare"

August 8, 2018

3.0

We have been a client for many years. Apparently they no longer value quality customer service. I am never asked what I think of the customer service I am provided. I gave them a month notice of a planned migration. Was provided inadequate instructions. Waited on hold for hours to be told I needed to pay for support although we have an annual maintenance contract. Contracted that additional support and am waiting days for delivery of the paid support. Can't even get it scheduled. No complaints with the software, customer service was good in the past.

Pros

Program functions as advertised once installed.

Cons

Install difficult, changes and additions require difficult install. Charge for support in addition to annual maintenance contract.

### "Interface Needs Update "

December 25, 2018

4.0

I use LPT at my current job and it works great and gets the job done. I wouldn’t change software. The columns could use different colors to make reading information from a bunch of prints jobs easier.

Pros

I like the simple layout and easy to operate controls.

Cons

The UI desperately needs an update as it looks stuck in the early to mid 2000s

### "Easy Access and Little Troubleshooting"

September 10, 2019

4.0

It frees up staff time to not have to be constantly printing items for people, or helping them with the printer, but that first step to access the print jobs is the most common question that we need to address.

Pros

It works consistently. I know that when patrons experience issues using the machines it is very likely to be user error, and not an error with the software.

Cons

The first step of the printing interface is not easily understood by patrons and it takes some time to respond after pressing "Release"

### "Inexpensive printing solution that meets most needs"

July 23, 2019

3.0

Pros

LPT:One provides an interface that allows customers to print from library computers. It does that well once it's set up and configured. The interface is dated, but simple. Customers are able to pick it up quickly without a lot of problem. I've appreciated the recently added mobile printing feature.

Cons

The software has had pretty consistent hiccups. The software has not been significantly updated, in spite of changing hardware needs. This has resulted in various problems over the years. Also, the reporting on the software is nightmarish. If you want anything but the most basic data out of it, prepare for a headache.

### "The software enables us to organize public printing and time on computers in the library. "

December 26, 2017

5.0

The ability to choose which job to print and how long patrons stay on their computers so others can take their turn.

Pros

LPT One works with our other management software without any problems. The software is very easy to set up and use. The features enable us to have patrons sign in on the public computers and is linked with our patron system to check for fines and expired cards.

Cons

Initial linking between my ILS and this software was a little complicated and time consuming, but customer service was very helpful.

### "Poor Customer Support and couldn't get it to work in a large library system"

October 11, 2016

2.0

We gave up trying to maintain 15 locations all with their own server. It may be ok for a small single site library, but not a library system. We ultimately went with SAM from Comprise Technologies and are very happy with their support, onsite services, easy of use and setup.

Pros

OK user interface

Cons

MS Access Database, no cross site support, too many servers to manage, limited support for printers, poor customer support.
