Overall it is good, but it did not take long to realize that Scribe was no good. I tried to cancel the subscription. I even offered to just have them hold the subscription until Scribe is actually ready, but they will hold on to your money no matter how bad their Scribe product is.

Pros

The EMR is pretty good, but don't waste your money on Scribe. The AI is not ready and should be considered beta. Scribe does not save time and introduces errors which take time to carefully review, using the "protocols" is much faster.

Cons

Their AI product Scribe. It is no good. You will regret it. The AI listens to the visit and misses key elements of the history. The exam fills in as a text box. The diagnosis is often wrong and the plans are incomplete.

Still think that this is the best EMR in the industry, that as a MEdical Assistant I have worked with.

Pros

it has improved tremedously, the AI intergration makes it a lot better for the documentation part of a patient's visit.

Cons

Well, like everything, new updates have positive and negative aspects, the only thing that makes me a bit hesitant, is the part that sometimes the AI does not capture everything. Still to this day, EMA freezes, and that slows things down.

Overall modmed has been a very positive experience as a dermatologist—EMA thinks like a dermatologist in establishing DDX and formulating treatment plans

Pros

Efficient All in one Allows me to see a reasonably high volume of patients without a dedicated scribe. Patients love that I send prescriptions from the bedside

Cons

The cost may become prohibitive. In fact the percent increases in cost surpass our current lease arrangement

Overall, the platform is excellent but support is poor, billing accuracy is poor and the cost is exorbitant.

Pros

Mod Med is comprehensive, allowing a physician to keep thorough notes, save procedure images and participate with MIPS and the like.

Cons

The cost is exorbitant and the support can be very poor with delayed responses. Also, the billing was often inaccurate, necessitating tickets, calls, etc.

Overall, my experience with Modernizing Medicine has been poor, primarily due to its lack of flexibility and rigid contractual structure. I entered into a five-year agreement at approximately $800+ per user per month for a two-provider setup. When my practice transitioned to a single provider, I was unable to reduce the number of users, despite multiple discussions with their team. The contract is highly restrictive, there is little to no ability to downgrade, and even in the setting of major practice changes, such as selling a practice, the financial obligations remain in place. This creates significant long-term risk for smaller or evolving practices. From a value standpoint, the cost is difficult to justify. The platform is expensive relative to competitors like Practice Fusion, yet lacks key functionalities such as fully integrated lab ordering with preloaded CPT codes and seamless transmission to major labs like Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp. Overall, between the high cost, limited flexibility, and operational inefficiencies, I would advise practices especially smaller or independent groups to carefully review contract terms and consider alternative EHR options.

Pros

What I like most about Modernizing Medicine is its streamlined, single-page layout, which makes it easy to navigate key sections like past medical history, surgical history, and the assessment and plan without jumping between screens. The interface is intuitive and allows quick access to essential clinical information. Additionally, the order templates are efficient—commonly used labs and medications can be bundled together, which reduces repetitive tasks and improves workflow efficiency in daily practice.

Cons

Despite its high cost, approximately $800–$1,000 per user per month, plus additional fees for services like faxing and integrations.Modernizing Medicine lacks some basic functionality that is standard in lower-cost EHRs. For example, lab ordering is not fully optimized. Many labs are not preloaded with CPT codes, requiring manual entry for each test and each lab vendor (e.g., Quest or LabCorp). This creates a significant administrative burden, as practices may need to input hundreds or even thousands of codes to enable proper lab transmission and barcoding. In contrast, lower-cost systems such as Practice Fusion often have these features built in from the start. Additionally, the note structure is not ideal. The assessment and plan are not clearly paired together, which can make documentation less intuitive and harder for other providers to quickly interpret. This impacts clinical communication and reduces overall note clarity.

I thought that ModMed would increase my productivity and flow.

Overall, my experience with ModMed has been positive. It has helped streamline our workflows and improve efficiency in day-to-day operations. The platform is user-friendly and adaptable to our practice’s needs, which makes a noticeable difference in productivity. While there are occasional slowdowns and some processes could be more streamlined, the overall functionality and benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Pros

What I liked most about ModMed is its intuitive, specialty-focused design. It’s easy to navigate, saves time with efficient workflows, and can be customized to fit our practice’s needs, which really helps streamline daily operations.

Cons

What I liked least is that the system can occasionally feel a bit slow during busy times, which can interrupt workflow. Additionally, some tasks require multiple steps to complete, which can be slightly time-consuming. While the customization features are a great benefit, setting them up initially can take extra time and effort.

My overall experience is very positive. Our customer success manager is extremely helpful and the support teams are great. MIPS was a new process for me and the MIPS advisor we had was amazing!

Pros

The improvements and capabilities that they continue to provide to enhance the users experience. Its a very easy software to use and maneuver in.

Cons

I still feel like the reporting capabilities can be improved to where they are more customizable without errors.

it has been a wonderful experience with modmed. It is an easy system and the codes are made while note is comepleted.

Pros

how easy it is to use, how the note is built from just clicks, the codes are included and not is built easy.

Cons

does not save if more than 2 people in chart, We cannot complete path log from chart on tablet, we have to use actual computer.

WORST EMR that I have ever used: compared to EPIC, Eye MD and All Scripts. 1) Too, Too many clicks and page changes to complete notes 2) Under codes diagnosis. 3) must manually edit billing codes since Modmed under-codes

Pros

comprehensive pre-written discussions about diagnosis. Workflow tab is helpful to view clinic flow. Code tab to review charts is helpful, unless you want to review more than 1 day.

Cons

1) Too, Too many clicks and page changes to complete notes 2) Under codes diagnosis. 3) must manually edit billing codes since Modmed under-codes 4) Very Poor response from Modmed to make corrections

The only good thing about this experience was the trainer \[sensitive content hidden\]. She was very helpful even though I expressed multiple times how much I hated this system.

Pros

Nothing!, Going from Exscribe to MOD MED is a joke. They lied about initial pricing, I was quoted a completely different price. I feel like I was sold on a program that is nothing like what we are using. Not Orthopedic friendly!

Cons

My provider is older and using this system was suppose to be much easier but it is not. We still don't have any of our files transferred over.
