### "Improving Osiris"

Overall the software is good, but there are other versions that other software produce in this industry that are even better. I like the company but I would like for them to improve more. If not there could be a possibility we may have to look for what we need elsewhere in the future.

Pros

I like the fact that it is a software dedicated to the funeral industry and it helps with the upkeep of entering decedent's, tracking paperwork, funeral bills, etc.

Cons

I don't like the fact that we can't get certain specified reports and the fact that the mobile version is not as user friendly as a desktop version.

The team has been incredibly kind and supportive. Our experience has been extremely positive.

Pros

There are so many features we enjoy using; the document and payment links, Pay for easy payment tracking, the QuickBooks export for invoices and deposits, and especially how the grave‑location populates on our documents and removes the risk of manual entry errors.

Cons

Still waiting on new features and reports to be released that we are very excited about. We have a lot to look forward to!

### "A Must Have!"

Overall, we are very pleased with . We have been using the system for over 6 years now. It is easy to use and fills all our needs. We are able to upload and keep all documents in our printed file and keep it electronically to share across locations. It has helped us with our efficiency and communication in our funeral homes. Customer service has been top notch. They are very responsive and have been very attentive to our needs. We would recommend Osiris to any funeral home looking for a comprehensive software program that is easy to use and powerful enough to cover all important and necessary funeral home needs. It is a must have for our offices!

Pros

We have used several software systems over the years and is by far the simpliest and most comprehesive. From the very start, it is intuitive and user friendly. Our staff was able to quickly learn what was necessary for our needs and intergrate it right away. Having all our files and paperwork in one place to be shared across locations is a must have. Osiris has made our processes more streamlined and efficient.

Cons

There are only a few things that we don't like about . Because the vitals page is for multiple states, there is information on there that we do not have to collect. When training someone, we just have to let them know which information is pertinent and which is not. We would love to see more access on the mobile app. Having access to notes would be very helpful when we are on the go and outside the office.

Reason for choosing Osiris

We loved being able to download and try out the product right away. I spoke to Chris several times on the phone. He was so down to earth and real, not pushy and being a funeral director, really understood what we were looking for. We are a family owned funeral home and right away we like their "family" feel. We had our staff look at it and right away they could tell was the one. It was so intuitive and user friendly. There was very little learning curve. It is packed with features that just keep giving!

I've used other programs in the past (HMIS) & is very comparable. I'm new to the program but it's pretty self explanatory.

Pros

Easy to navigate. Time saving that you can send forms for signature through the program vs DocuSign.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of. I haven't been using it that long. When I've had issues they've been my error.

### "Sometimes Simple is Better "

As a new funeral planner, and new to the industry, I have found it to be an easy to learn system. It is streamline on the information. You don't have to jump around. It's is not too complex.

Pros

It is simple and streamlined. I like that the side bar has everything. From what I understand the funeral home gets unlimited storage.

Cons

There could be a spot for family to email photos other than just informational collaboration. Unless I'm unaware of it, it would be nice to be able to copy a profile or contract when creating a new contact that is a family member. Example: Husband and wife come in. Create profile and estimate for wife. Husband wants the same thing. The ability to copy wife information over to husband through a click would be awesome.

Having to work with since 2019, Osiris has evolved and improved many of its original features. Working closely with the Osiris software team, we were able to work through these features and make Osiris work for us. They truly listen and care for the needs of their clients.

Overall is exactly what we needed. A lot of research went into this purchase for our independent funeral home. It does everything that we need. It modernized our whole operation and was a super smooth transition to software based records. I absolutely love all of the reports and the ease of billing and accounts receivable with the program! I would also like to give a humble thank you to the whole team at Osiris, including the wonderful customer rep. The customer service provided by Osiris is like no other. I swear there have been times I broke the program, and they literally will log on to the computer and walk me through the issue to get me back up and running ASAP.

Pros

We went from complete paper records and contracts to , which was a huge project. I loved the ease of entering the contract as well as the efficient record keeping.

Cons

I really don't have something that I don't care for, but for the sake of the question, I found it frustrating when things are missing in the entry for a case and you were stopped from proceeding. Example is if you do not have the name of the purchaser, it stops you from going to the next screen for the contract and you have to click out of it.

### "Awesome Customer Support!"

I have just come into this industry in the last couple of months, so I was very concerned I'd have a long period of training to get up to speed with industry needs and demands. Although I know there is more to learn as far as the industry is concerned, I feel as if I have mastered the paperwork demands by using .

Pros

The program itself is pretty easy to learn to use and is packed tools, forms and customizations. But the best Pro is the Customer Support Team. If I see a need for data collection, or I make a simple request to add something to a form, I get an immediate response on who has taken ownership of the request, and continual feedback about where that person is in the process. I feel as if I, myself, am part of the team.

Cons

As with any software that has to customize across so many different state regulations and requirements, there can be bumps and glitches with the way things show up or don't show up. For instance, you might try to populate an obit and find that it didn't pull something you want to always have in your obit. Figuring out how to change your template can be a little unnerving at first. However, here's where the Pro slips right back in: the Support Team really does support you, and will help you customize whatever you need.

In our firm, it had become obvious that we needed to make a software change. After attending the NFDA Convention in Nashville, TN in 2014 we began our search for a new software company. We poured over brochures, talked to representatives and compared prices. After the comparisons were made, we decided to seriously look at for our funeral home which has 3 locations. We are delighted with the software. We found the software to be extremely straight forward and user friendly. It does so many things. And it has actually been fun learning all the features of the program. The price was really good, but then we found the best part....Customer Support!!! When we began actually talking with Kris and Kara at Osiris it was hard to believe how knowledgeable and helpful they were. They really listened to us as we explained what we needed and what we were looking for in a software package. That same care and concern has followed through beyond the sale and into the actual use of the software. With our former company, I had been accustomed to having to leave a message and eventually someone would get back to me. And many times they would tell me my request was not possible until they did an update or there was a extra fee for this or that. The folks at Osiris answer our questions quickly and very accurately. I cannot say enough good things about the Osiris product and the people.

I am saving so much time on generating reports which I did manually. Now I just click, click, click and all done.

Pros

I love the form templates and the ability to add my own forms. I especially like being able to email forms to clients for signatures. Still new at all of this but so far, I love it.

The save tab should be at the bottom of the screen and more noticeable.

Pros: Very responsive, cordial - and live! - support, when we need it. Very intuitive and easy to use interface, which we could have in our hosted environment, alongside QuickBooks (QB) desktop. Beautiful and straight-forward integration with QB. Love the auto-populating, reusable PDF forms that the teams adds to our profile as we need them. Excellent price. The program can be installed on PC or Mac. Works on iPad! Cons: Looking forward to having the Vitals information sheet adjustable to the order of the State format we use, but I know this is coming soon.

One of the biggest game-changers for me personally has been the QuickBooks integration. It saves me a tremendous amount of time on accounting and eliminates so many of the manual steps that used to bog down our workflow. But what really sets Osiris apart is the support team. Their hands-on, personalized service is remarkable. From onboarding to ongoing updates, they’ve walked alongside us every step of the way—always responsive, always helpful, and truly invested in our success. Osiris isn’t just software—it’s a partnership. If you’re in the funeral or cremation profession and want a system that actually makes your life easier, this is the one.

Pros

Why I like and recommend ; family owned and operated, excellent support, affordability/value and simplicity of the software.

Cons

Not much to dislike, but if I were to make some improvements, I would recommend the following: continue to offer more of the desktop features on the browser platform, create a dashboard that would show progress on all of the "open" cases and include a AI powered obituary platform.

### "Very happy we made the switch"

It took us a long time to make the switch from antiquated software. We are glad we did. It has been a definite overall upgrade for us.

Pros

is comprehensive and user friendly. I like that we get frequent software upgrades so I know they are sharpening their product.

Cons

I cannot think of any downside to at this time. My only suggestion would be a larger font on the at-need search criteria landing page.
