I have never had a regret or been tempted to try another service. The only reason I am leaving is because I am retiring and closing my practice. But even in retirement CounSol is meeting my needs with electronic access to all client notes for a nominal fee. Pros My practice efficiency went to another orbit when I started using CounSol... note taking, record keeping, payment processing, book keeping... everything became markedly easier, smoother and cleaner. Notes were much more accessible. Clients received automatic reminders for upcoming appointments. In the 10-12 years I have been a subscriber I think there has only been one increase in subscription cost. I can't recommend this highly enough. Cons There is a bit of a learning curve, but each subscriber receives a dedicated contact agent who is there by pone or email to answer any questions you have and resolve any problem. Overall, the clunkiness makes it too hard to use for a therapist. You have to click into each note to see it, meaning it's hard to scroll adn see details. Pros The automatic sending of intakes is very smooth. It is easier than other EHRs I have used, adn it's easy to see which ones haven't been completed. It is the most smoothly integrated EHR for working with minors, where parents can be part of the account without being the named patient. Cons The interface is SO clunky. The payment system isn't that intuitive and isn't automated. I would like it to automatically charge before the session. It is less well known than some of the others, but if someone is willing to take advantage of the free trial, they won’t be disappointed. Pros I have been using CounSol for seven years and one of my favorite things about the company is the responsiveness of customer support and that they are always adding new and helpful features as they grow. Cons For me, the built in video platform is not always reliable with some clients. They have a hard time with the synch being off , or losing connection randomly. I have been using the system with a group practice and now individually and it has been seamless. Pros I enjoy the ease of the software. I am not very technologically savvy and feel like. I can use Counsel seamlessly. Cons I wish there were more automated documents that could be used for my practice as well as assessments for client care. All functions are seamless. Billing is efficient and easy to navigate. Pros Customer support. Cons The portal could be improved visually. The portal looks outdated, and new clients tend to comment on it.
