### "Great Customer Assistance"

It has been a good experience overall. My favorite feature, though I don't have to use it often now, is having an assigned representative that is responsive. The user guide is helpful also.

Pros

I mostly like that I am used to it and found it easier to navigate than some other ehr's. I also really like that I can contact someone for assistance and get an answer quickly. I also like how I can see stats on the main practice page easily.

Cons

It can sometimes feel outdated in its interface and the look of the portal.

I have really appreciated CounSol on the whole and value their customer support, ease of set up, prioritization of protecting client information, and overall security I feel using the product.

Pros

\- Customer support is incredible - Cost is lower than most competitors - Have not experienced concerns around HIPAA compliance, meeting ethical standards around confidentiality, and/or price gouging experienced with other competitors - Ease of managing client files

Cons

\- Antiquated look - Clients do not like using the portal as much because it feels dated - Wish there were easier ways to incorporate assessments into client files

In case you don't already know, custom forms can be used to incorporate assessments into client files allowing the practice or the client to complete all types of questionnaires and assessments from your counsol account or client portal. These can even include automatic scoring and can be assigned automatically based on session or client type. If there are specific assessments you'd like to incorporate, please send a template to your account manager so that we can have these added for you.

Pros

The reports it can generate; efficient and fast customer service; appointment scheduling; houses billing needs and provides superbills to clients under their own portal.

Cons

I have had a negative experience in the recent year or so with CardConnect customer service. When I first began using CounSol as a business owner (5+ years ago), the customer service was excellent and it was easy to see why CounSol would partner with CardConnect. In the last year, I have had to call as a result of not receiving payouts for the merchant processor. In these calls, it's loud and the representatives do not speak English well which complicates resolving problems and communicating those problems efficiently. They basically repeat everything I say then put me on hold. It's a lengthy process and, each time I ask why the money was not deposited, they do not provide an answer - it's hard to tell if this is because they do not know or if it's because they are not sure how to communicate that. It makes me unhappy to feel like I can't trust that the deposits will be made.

### "Great Customer Service"

I have been with Counsol.com for over 10 years now and it has always worked and got the job done. I wish that as technology has grown there were more webinars or trainings on how to use the software more effectively and that the notes temples were included like it is in other software programs. When ever I need something the customer service is quick to help and love my problem. This customer service is what has kept me all these years.

Pros

I like the way that it keeps everything in one place and is very user friendly for my clients

Cons

That the video software included does not allow for group sessions, with the technology available today I think this is a huge inconvenience and makes the software less functional for my practice needs.

I believe there needs to be more diversity of templates for notes IE: a template for medicaid/medicare, and a template for treatment plans.

When I transitioned from practice to my own practice, it was an easy transition. I was able to transfer documents easily and \[sensitive content hidden\] helped tremendously with any questions I had.

Pros

My account assistant is always promptly available with any questions I may have. The system is very user friendly!

Cons

Form were difficult at first to figure out how to add to the system.

Pros

I like the ease of use of Counsol and the diversity of features.

Cons

I want clients to be able to upload documents in attachments under Counsol. It would also be nice if you could send messages to more than 1 client at a time. For example, when I have 2 parents that I need to communicate the same message to.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Counsol. I use it to write all my notes, to conduct assessments to monitor progress, and to create my treatment plans.

Pros

Counsol makes it very easy to create client forms and upload new client forms.

Cons

Improvement may be needed for option to conduct group therapy notes

It's what I know and am comfortable with and it seems like it would be hard to switch to something else. So, it's good overall.

Pros

It is fairly user-friendly, and there was a lot of help getting started by the account manager.

Cons

I feel that after years of using, there have not been many, if any, updates to the functionality. So, I question why I'm paying the same monthly subscription fee after years of use when it's not funding improvements. This would be the same with any EHR though.

Since our origination, all new features introduced have been requested by our members. If there are any features you are interested in specifically, please let your account manager know so that we can create a feature request for you or add your name to one that already exists. That way you can be kept up-to-date when relevant releases are made available to you. Feature requests are prioritized based on popularity and ability to implement. Additionally, even though our prices have raised some over the years, we have never raised prices for our existing members - so even when new tools become available on the platform, your rates have never increased!

### "Far Exceeds the Rest! "

I have zero complaints and they never have any downtime.

Pros

I love the personal touch and having LIVE customer service, unlike almost all other counseling EHR services that you find out there.

Cons

I really have not found much that I do not like about Counsol. The only thing that I can think of that I have not had luck with is getting them to add a fee so I can recoup clients that use a credit card. being a realist, I know this takes effort in programming so it is not that big of a deal.

How easy it is to navigate the system. I like the auto texting of reminders the day before their session.

Cons

I would have to pay more monthly for my text reminders to state which office they have their session at.

Customer service is top notch and there whenever I have a need/concern fixed. Easy to use and payments are seamless with Square.

Pros

Easy to use, clients find the portal super user friendly and can come back and complete new forms as needed/complete their own payments. Reminder texts are standard and helpful as well as payment through Square is seamless.

Cons

The main payment option that Counsol uses is very shady and put unnecessary charges on my account and their customer service was less than stellar. Switching to Square was the best move I could have made. Square should be the main option for payment collection.

Since internship, I have used CounSol for all my private practice admin needs - from keeping clinical notes, to having a secure portal to offer my clients, and now most recently, for billing purposes. Can't imagine using anything else.

Pros

\-Excellent customer service and support -Easy to navigate features -Easy to update forms and paperwork -Secure client messaging center -Secure client portal center that is very convenient for clients to use

Cons

\-Treatment planner software has add on cost -Add on cost to use video telehealth platform and colleagues who use this platform for telehealth purposes have not been satisfied with the quality

Very satisfied. Used with my old practice and there wasn't any other option for me when I started my current practice.

Pros

CounSol offers the best customer support with your own personal rep who responds to your needs in a very timely manner. The FAQ section is filled with lots of information to help with whatever you need.

Cons

The duplicate claims that get filed without biller creating them.

The value for the cost of the software was a huge determining factor. Also the ease of use. Some aspects need to be updated, but overall, I am very happy with the software.

I wish there were more reportng options as the administrator to search for things such as incomplete progress notes.

I work for a number of different insurance partners, so CounSol is where I bring all of my clients together which allows a clear overview of my full practice which is really helpful. The platform is well thought out and has served me well for years.

Pros

Customer service is excellent! When ever I have a question \[sensitive content hidden\] is available or calls me back within the day. The platform helps me keep my clients and billing organized and sends session reminders to my clients.

Cons

It seems that CounSol has been well thought out and may contain more complexity or features than I use, which is not a problem as there is help available if I run into a snag or need a new feature.

Generally good but the price is high for a very small practice.

Pros

Easy to use for managing client workload, documentation, and billing.

Cons

Email program does not have advanced features, such as capability to use different fonts, underline, bold, and italicize text. Also, when there are multiple emails from a client and it is necessary to read more than one, the program does not highlight the last email read. This makes it difficult to pick out the next one to read.

For virtual sessions, there seems to always be connection issues, sound issues, etc. More times than not, we use another product.
