Pros: I had never use a software like this, where I can edit and modify images with very high details, this software has thousands of tools to edit images and pictures, and to create and personalize figures and logos, in the beggining for me was a little difficult to learn but with some practice I can edit my favorites pictures and create a personal logo.

Cons: It is recommendable to have a previous knowledge about design because it can be overwhelming has thousands of tools and do not know how to use it.

Pros: LiveSketch is a great feature, you can get a smooth line, no matter your drawing style. All you have to do is set a timer in the Properties bar (with the LiveSketch tool selected) to determine how long you have to adjust your strokes before that sketched line is converted to vector points, sounds complicated but it's really intuitive. Tablet mode is also incredible and PHOTO-PAINT is a very good alternative to photoshop.

Cons: You can get most of the other features CorelDRAW has to offer for a better price if you buy Adobe Creative Cloud so it's hard to recommend it over Adobe.

Overall: LiveSketch is the best tool you can get from CorelDraw, its really impressive how easy is to draw with it combined with Tablet Mode. But it's hard to recommend it for anything else when compared to Adobe.

Pros: What I like most about the program is the compatibility of the software with the images and pdf formats, used for the delivery of the plans with 3D views, which have a previous step to give color and lighting to the 3D models to make a better marketing for my company

Cons: What I like least about the software is that it has very broad possibilities such as technical drawing and isometries that includes the application of color directly, however for this it is necessary training facilities in certain areas where this software is only known by vectorization and the color filling by layers

Overall: The benefit that I have is the realization of a presentation in 3D with bright colors and nice to look at and with marketing possibilities

Pros: Very easy to use compared to more expensive alternatives. My office started using it to make our sublimations and so far it has been a dream come true. Some people that couldn't adapt to photoshop could easily adapt to CorelDraw.

Cons: Somewhat limited on the features but worth it for the price. Occasionally the program tends to have a few issues with compatibility to my intuos pad but a restart normally fixes the problem.

Overall: Easy to use and learn and affordable.

Pros: Working in the industry of drinks, I notice that the design of the label in the bottle it is one of the most important things, so when I search for a software to design in my company someone speak to me about CorelDRAW, and that person was right. This software brings us the opportunity to design a label for a bottle with very high precision and detail, making easy all the process of take the picture, modify the image and get final result, everything was excellent, CorelDRAW has a huge amount of tool, and a professional with experience in this area can easily get the most of this software.

Overall: Designs labels for bottles of national drink with very precision and detail, the results was excellent.

Pros: This app has everything you need to make a perfect designs, a lot of options and features, endless colours, bright and textures, a very complete interphase where you can add an specific tool to work and so many other features that produce that a design in CorelDRAW be perfect. Another great feature are the extension, you can save your work in so many formats, including the basic JPEG or PDF, or uses format of designers like EMF. CorelDRAW it is a very complete software where a designer have in his hands everything to make a wonderful design.

Cons: This software for people that are not used can be a little overwhelming because it has so many options and tool that only a person with experience in design can handle, if you want only to modify contrast or bright of pictures you can use Paint, this software is for professional of technician of design.

Pros: I use this software from so many years ago and with the time they have always improve, I use this to modify and edit images vectorizing and making great design for my presentations, through the years Corel DRAW have added more features and options to make the design more complex and details, the bright options and the vectorizing tool are better than they were in the past, the details of the images is awesome and the extension are endless, for design this is one of my favorites.

Cons: This a very specialized software not everyone can just open CorelDRAW and start using this requires a lot of time to get used to use it, so you previously need a training about design and drawing to get the most of this software, because this not MS PP this a great software but requires a high level of skills

Overall: I can edit and modify images and pictures with a very high level of details, I modify a lot of all pictures of my family and start making my own designs with this software.

Pros: I am still getting used to CorelDraw, haven't been using it that long, but so far, I like what I am seeing. It is a program that can do many of the things that the industry-leading software can do without breaking the bank.
CorelDraw has some of the best tools for creating and editing great graphics such as invitation cards, posters, and vector arts. One can also create page layouts for books and brochures and also for designing websites.

Cons: Not really for the novice user in my opinion. It can get quite technical. I use a Mac computer mostly, and I have not seen a version for mac maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Pros: The first advantage is that it is a vector program, with which you can work on tracings and bring the designs to embroideries, engravings, prints among others, also supports the transparency of the TIF image files which other programs do not, allows editing fast, you can perform complex tasks with very few clicks, their tools are very intuitive and easy to use.

Cons:
205/5000
Its interface is somewhat outdated and uncomfortable, commercial use license is required for its use, it is very heavy since it has an excessive number of objects with transparency, which demands more video resources.

Overall: The format of corel draw is very used for the graphic industry, it allows to work with vectors, since it vectorizes images of bitmaps, its format is used for digital printing.

Pros: Found CorelDraw to have a lot of functionality for creating vector graphics, there is a lot that the software can do. Able to bring in a wide variety of image formats.

Cons: Find it a little tricky to navigate the GUI to find what I'm looking for and the Help isn't overly helpful for me, I usually try to find my answers using Google.

Pros: Full featured software that accomplishes everything I need and is fairly easy to use. Additional software modules include photo editing software the would be very expensive to buy separately.

Cons: Constant, expensive upgrades make it difficult to keep current. Upgrades are too expensive for the frequency of upgrades. Skipping a few upgrades and buying a newer version might be cheaper.

Overall: Great interface between software and hardware to allow me to create and export designs.

Pros: Easy to use and professional quality. Incorporates photo editing and vector graphics. I have been using Corel for as long as windows 95 came to market. It has come along way. It was one of the best software for graphic design at some Pont of time and it is still great and easy to use with a lot of tools .

Cons: Sometimes printing takes a bit of time. I don't know why but this issue has been with Corel for a long time. But you can always print to pdf and the the get your printing done. Of course what I am saying if for larger files.

Overall: General graphics work.

Pros: It is no exaggeration to say that if you are or become a constant corel graphics user you can all but forget Photoshop for most uses, with no loss as to professional results.

A Vector and a Bitmap application are its main components but you also get a Font Manager, tons of clip-arts and assorted useful components such as to import and export all formats and it runs any plug-in you would use in PhotoShop, plus customised color pallets and native support for cmyk for most any kind of publishing you may want to create in it, as well as x-1A PDF export, editable presets or custom PDF settings as well.

Vector editing and bitmap-to-vector in CorelDraw and masking, cloning, fyll photo retouching capabilities and transparencies in CorelPhotoPaint are just some examples of the fast and exciting tools you get in one suite you can own without subscriptions.

You can also save to any previous version of CorelDraw so that files remain compatible with older versions if needed. Needless to say that it imports .PSD files too.

Cons: Disappointed to say but its a reality that it slows down after using it for some period expecting to get updates in newer version but still facing same issue from X3 till X8.

Overall: It is really great for creating Vector software but it doesn't match up to Adobe Illustrator

Pros: CorelDraw is something everyone should have. If you do any kind of vector work, be it art or design, or want to develop custom graphics to implement in another program (like InDesign), you really need to have it. No other program does vector work as fast and easy as Corel.

Cons: The down side is that I find Corel only works for vector art. Anything else and I have to import into Photoshop or InDesign depending on what I'm doing. This isn't a huge down side, because it IS great for vector work--unbeatable, even. It just sucks that it isn't the end all be all.

I use Corel draw on a daily basis and have found it to be more intuitive, easy to use and flexible.

Pros: Good value and user friendly.
Corel draw has a number of associated programs which are sold as a package when you purchase Corel draw and these are created to work in the same. Photo paint allows you edit photos and othe images for many purposes. A very rounded package of graphic and desktop publishing tools. Corel draw allows you to save and export files in a wide range of types.

Cons: Corel draw isnt as well know or as well used by industry as other design software.

Pros: I like all the options Corel gives you in manipulating images. It does take time to get used to all the features but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to graphic design.

Cons: The cost is probably the biggest deterrent. It's not the absolute best graphic design program out there but prices itself as such which is a big turnoff.

Pros: This is a very capable vector drawing software. But I haven't found a good reason to invest in it. It isn't the best or the industry standard. I would opt for it's more popular competitor even if it is somewhat more expensive. If I wanted to save money or couldn't afford the industry standard, there are other much less expensive options that work as well.

Cons: Value for the money just isn't here. If you aren't the industry standard or don't offer features that blow the competition away (CorelDraw is neither) you have to compete on price. CorelDraw has some very good and much less expensive competition.

Overall: I don't see any reason for buying this software either buy the best or go for one of the much less expensive but capable options.

Pros: Corel Draw is very nicely compatible with out vinyl cutter where Adobe Illustrator was not (surprisingly) It is a great tool for creating vector artwork and it is pretty straightforward.

Pros: The wide choices for brushes , backgrounds and libraries makes you easier the way to draw
Its a very helpful way to have your own designs for technical papers, product specification, and even technical drawings.
The system requirements to install it allows to have it on small devices ad notebooks and tablets.
Its one of the best drawing software for vectorial drawings commonly used for advertising and graphic design companies.

Cons: Integration with other design software is not as easy as you may expect
Although it can be exported to Microsoft Office suite software, some times you have to redo it more than once because it does not bring the whole picture.
The learning curve is a little bit long, it has many controls as many features.

Overall: I used to draw my company product specifications and it worked very well, it wasn't easy in the beginning as you start to learn how to use it. The drawings by Cores makes easier the Web Site designer job to improve the company and product information on it.

Pros: The main function of CorelDRAW is the production of beautiful posters, advertisements, calendars, business cards and leaflets.

The application will take from 150 to 300 MB of memory on the hard disk. The number depends on the version of the program.

CorelDRAW has 125 brushes, 300 various backgrounds, a huge set of fonts, etc.

The program saves the files in the .cdr format, and the graphic images are in the .cmx format.

A big plus of the program is the installation for different operating systems: Windows, MAC, OS / 2, Unix and Lunix. There is an official version in Russian. CorelDRAW perfectly reproduces the Cyrillic alphabet, does not even try to replace some letters with squares.

Cons: Disadvantages of the vector editor: it is very difficult to convert raster graphics into vector graphics. Although ... it is possible, but the image will not be quite clear (if black and white). And it's unrealistic - if it's colored.

You can not quickly and easily apply an extensive collection of effects, which are used in working with raster graphics.

The windows of the program are strongly overloaded with all sorts of options and buttons. Maybe it's good, because it has the maximum functionality of the application, but not very good, because the windows from the overabundance of all buttons are a bit like the dashboard of helicopters.

In different versions of CorelDRAW there are significant errors of the creators.

In CorelDRAW there are no tools for business graphics, enabling you to easily and quickly create charts and graphs.

Overall: Periodically, there is a need to process a graphic image. Such tasks are set as professional designers in the field of advertising and printing (who spend a lot of time creating and editing graphics, working with text, correcting photos), and business users, sometimes creating advertising and printed materials, without resorting to the services of the first , to save a little.

Pros: Compared to Illustrator, CorelDraw is far less expensive, and to me, is easier to use.

- plenty of tutorials by Corel and users are available online.
- easy to use interface.
- merges well with Corel PhotoPaint so that photos inserted into CorelDraw can be edited easily.
- very stable and responsive even when working with very large drawings that include dozens of layers and tens of thousands of objects

Cons: Still costly for graduate students

Corel is rather well-known for not responding rapidly to user requests. This is most evident on their user forums. Hopefully they will address this.

Overall: Allowed me to create outstanding maps for my MA and PhD dissertations.

Pros: Simple, Easy to navigate. Nice presets. This is a program that is great for fine tuning images to bring to life the vision of what the artist sees.

Pros: It has its good points, once you figure it out. It's very much like Illustrator with the same capabilities.

Cons: It's not Illustrator. It's a learning curve if you're using to Adobe products. I wouldn't use it unless I was forced to.

I've been using CorelDraw for many years and it is extremely useful.

Pros: Ease of use and overall power. Great for my business with setting up banners and other print projects.

Cons: Over the years there have been some major bugs and some incompatibility with Adobe Illustrator. I've also had issues with spot colors when saving pdf files.

Overall: It had helped me further my career as a graphic designer.

Pros: Having used a number of image processing software tools, this was quite easy to spin up on. My tasks were pretty simple - I was typically converting png or jpg files to black and white vector images in order to able to use them to etch designs with a laser cutter. The settings were versatile enough that I was able to make a surprisingly large number of images form very good etches.

Cons: It wasn't as easy to select and modify specific color sets as I would have liked in order to get the fullest control and develop high fidelity images when converting colored images into black and white.

Overall: Easy to learn and make new vector images.

Pros: I really like Everything about the CorelDRAW Package. So much so that we purchased over 1000 of them in the early 90's for the company i was LAN Managing. It had everything it needed, Vector Editing, Bit Image Editing, Screen Capture and in those days, lot's of valuable graphics and usable fonts. It was the Bees Knees then and mostly now except;

Cons: Support is like an Elephant having a Baby! Long, Drawn-out and painful! It is killing the product for me after almost 29 years of use. Maybe it is time to move on . . . .

Overall: Everything; advertising design, video titling, WEB page Graphics, Doodling, everything!

Pros: The ease of changing documents. I can select an item and move it to the side temporarily, then move it back into the original document.

Cons: Takes some time to figure out how to use it. If you have had no experience with Corel or Adobe photo shop it could get a bit frustrating.

Overall: Able to print my own coupons and flyers from my computer. Don't have to pay someone else to do it.

I tried this product and the overall experience is great. Once you master the tools you'd feel great

Pros: Greta functionality. Seamless integration of tools and options. Multilingual support and keypad for each fonts are very useful when you don't know to type in a particular font.

Cons: The software crashed sometimes, but it had happened to me only. Not sure about others. You should work always within. The work area. If you keep things out of working area the app crashes frequently.

Overall: Easy to create printable quality vector files.

Pros: It is very powerful. I have used it to trace and modify .jpg files for my hobby. I am able to take an image, trace over what I want and leave what I don't. The grid makes it really nice for making straight lines and being able to zoom in at such a close level is very helpful. It really makes a clean graphic.
It also has a nice break apart feature which allows for adjustments of circles and lines. The help menu is good but detailed. There are a lot of features using terms I am unfamiliar with so I use it a lot. By following the help instructions carefully, you will get there, stray and you will be lost.

It has a really nice rotate feature when you can set the center point. This had come in very handy in almost all of my projects.

Cons: There is a lot of features and that is not an understatement. As the result, it does take some time to learn about all of them. If I don't use it for a while, my learning curve goes up quite a bit but it also goes down just as fast. The one feature I do have trouble with is a perfect circle but the convert to curves and the grid function do solve that.

One thing I find a little odd is if you break apart a line into two or more segments they are still considered part of each other. In other words, once it is broken apart, if you select one of the new segments, it will select all of them. I ended up deleting the others and making new separate one. It isn't a big deal, just a little weird when you first encounter it.

Overall: It has allowed me to pursue projects I would not have been able to do.

Pros: This software interfaces very well with commercial laser cutters. It is very easy to use, primarily with establishing vector/raster features for laser cutters. Importing DXF files works well, which is what we primarily use the software for.

Cons: There are some quirks that have to be learned in order to use the software for laser cutting, but there is extensive guides online.

Pros: Easy to use if you understand the basics of graphic design, colour and illustration. Good font control. Lots of useful functions, including photo editing. Easier to use than Adobe.

Cons: Expensive for the full Graphics Suite version.

Overall: Corel Draw is a great product that's pretty easy to use once you understand the basics of graphic design. It's great for creating vector illustrations and doing cool stuff with text. Very good font control. It gives the user lots of creative flexibility, as well as good colour control.

Pros: The familiarity of having a long pedigree.

Cons: Compatibility of other packages with CDR files.

Overall: Both students and staff are able to make use of this package for poster and related tasks. For many years CorelDraw has been my first choice for logo and signage design work. The software has numerous features for text-based image design projects. I find the transparency options and the breadth of fonts available give it the edge over similar packages.

Pros: Intuitive design

Non-profit pricing available

Cons: Somewhat pricey

Overall: I do some graphic design on the side and I've tried products. CorelDraw is a great alternative to the competition and more stable than the open source products out there. I've been using CorelDraw for years now and have never been disappointed with the quality or stability of the product. Now that they have monthly and annual subscriptions, it's easier to justify than the up-front cost.

Recommendations to other buyers: They do have education and non-profit pricing available, which I'd recommend if you qualify.

Comments: Besides being a teacher, I am also a web designer. No doubt there is an infinite of apps that you can use to help you with building websites. When it comes to working with pictures (cropping, resizing, cloning, etc.) or making logos, I use CorelDraw Suite. Why CorelDraw Suite? To be honest, I understood it from the very moment I started to use it. Ever since, it's been my favorite.

Pros: The ability of nodes editing, the simple user interface, the user experience, all the tutorials and online community make this software something amazing.

Cons: you don't have tools like pathfinder, but you will find a way...

Overall: Yes, in the market you can't find a lot of Design Software for vectors but CorelDraw is an excellent option with a nice price, a lot of features and a complete suite that actually run well on old PCs.

Corel Draw offers you a lot of simple shortcuts that allow you work fast (like C, P, L, E) and the node editing options give you the chance to make perfect curves (something really complicated in Illustrator).

If you actually work in Illustrator you must give a chance to this software, especially when you are doing branding or flat design, or vector design.

I strongly recommend Corel draw only for vector design because (i have to admit this) adobe is a lot better in image, video and photography edition.
