### "Corel : Draw or Trace : Perfect solution provider. "

August 7, 2023

5.0

Overall it is the fantastic software as there are many times when you don't know the size of the final output to be delivered and in which format.

Pros

CorelDRAW is a powerful software that allows designers to create professional quality images and art work that can be resized without losing clarity. This makes it perfect for all kinds of projects, and it can even convert regular images into these scalable artworks.

Cons

If you have moved from Photoshop or Gimp than you may have coupled of bad days to get accustomed and get inherited by the GUI of Corel.

### "CorelDraw, Rock Star alternative to Adobe Illustrator."

December 4, 2024

5.0

Other than the subscription this is my favorite graphics program. It is the first thing I go to whether its making a T-shirts design or a corporate brochure. easy access to thousands of fonts that are very esy to view and edit. Rock Star program in my opinion.

Pros

I like that it is very easy to set up the program to have all the tools that you use most easily accessible and and editable if you need to change the way your main page is setup. Easy to set up whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. I will always choose CorelDraw as my main vector art platform, all the tools are easy to use and in my opinion it it an easier faster alternative to Adobe Illustrator. I find you can get the same or better results in less steps than any other Illustration vector program. Also their Trace program is far superior to Adobes.

Cons

The yearly subscription leaves alot to be desired, Unlike Adobe you pay for the the year on the current version unlike Adobe that continually updates to the newest version. If you don't manually go to the corel website and change the subscription to the newest version or they will renew your subscription on the older version that is currenty installed. It just seams like alot of extra work to get the most current version.

### "Disappointing and Incompetent Support Experience with CorelDRAW"

November 5, 2025

1.0

BAD BAD BAD.

Pros

It a good program, if it works.... Unfortunately ,I have no more pros as their support system is nonexistent.

Cons

We've been long-time CorelDRAW users, and while the software itself has its merits, the customer support is absolutely abysmal. Reaching a real person is nearly impossible—phone numbers are often useless, emails bounce back with "invalid request" errors, and support tickets go unanswered for weeks. Even when you do get a response, it's usually a generic, copy-paste reply that doesn't address the issue. I had a licensing issue that should have been resolved in minutes, but instead, I was passed around between chat agents and email threads for over 4 weeks, with no resolution.

### "Well Rounded editor"

May 29, 2025

4.0

It's clear that it's designed to handle a wide range of graphic design projects, and the results it can produce are top-notch.

Pros

It's overall capability and features. The tools were advanced and with a little time navigating the user interface, they were easy enough to use.

Cons

For me I mostly do not like the licensing behind CorelDraw. I tend to stray away from proprietary software in favor of something open source. It's features were a little confusing and hard to find at first. I did get over this eventually though.

### "30+ Years of Loyalty, But the Subscription Pathway Lost Me"

August 22, 2025

4.0

Overall, CorelDRAW has been an outstanding design platform throughout my career. It has allowed me to create everything from detailed vector artwork to full brochures and flyers without needing to switch between different applications. The combination of power, flexibility, and page layout capability makes it a true all-in-one solution. However, my experience has been overshadowed in recent years by Corel’s move to a subscription-only model. After decades of loyalty and significant investment in purchased versions and upgrades, I feel let down by being forced into a payment pathway that doesn’t respect long-term users. As a result, I continue to use my older version, but sadly I am no longer able to benefit from new features or improvements.

Pros

CorelDRAW has been my go-to design platform for over 30 years. I love its versatility — it handles vector artwork, brochures, flyers, and even full page layouts with ease. It’s truly an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need for multiple programs. The interface is intuitive, the tools are powerful, and the software has always delivered reliable results for both print and digital projects.

Cons

The shift to a subscription-only model is by far the most disappointing aspect. I originally purchased the software outright, decades ago, and invested in every upgrade along the way, but now all of that investment is sunk. I refuse to move to a subscription pathway, so I’ve stopped upgrading despite wanting access to new features. For long-term loyal users, this change is both unreasonable and unfair.

CorelDRAW is an excellent product for 2D vector graphics. It has been reliable and useful in my work for many years.

Pros

I like CorelDRAW for its stability over many years. It is very convenient and powerful for vector graphics.

Cons

Its raster graphics module is weak compared to Photoshop and other software. I think it was unnecessary to integrate it.

### "Vector Work"

December 23, 2025

5.0

CorelDRAW has been helpful for projects that require precision and strong vector control, CorelDRAW

Pros

The tools are well-suited for detailed layouts and illustration work. I appreciate the accuracy when working on print designs and branding assets. It’s fast and responsive once everything is set up properly.

Cons

The learning curve is noticeable at first, especially if you’re coming from Adobe tools. File compatibility with clients using other software sometimes requires extra adjustments.

### "Clean Vector Work Made Simple"

December 16, 2025

4.0

CorelDRAW is one of the tools I use when I need clean, precise vector work. The interface is a bit different from the software I usually work with, but once you get used to it, it does the job really well.

Pros

I like its precision and the way it handles shapes and typography. It’s very effective for creating logos or print materials, and it manages heavy files surprisingly well.

Cons

Some commands aren’t very intuitive, especially at the beginning. And since it’s not the main tool used within our team, I often have to convert my files to make them compatible with the rest of our workflow.

### "Coreldraw offers maany amazing features and is easy to use."

December 23, 2021

4.0

CorelDRAW does what many tools fail to do properly in terms of the price you pay for the software, open-source software offers many tools that don't live up to a paid version of CorelDRAW or other Photo editing or graphic creation tools. Image tracing is something I use a lot and with much other software, the traces end up losing a large portion of their quality and border integrity, with CorelDRAW I've not had issues with image trace and image effects. The Creation tools on CorelDRAW are very comprehensive and offer a wide variety to choose from, allowing for a greater creative margin.

Pros

CorelDRAW is a piece of software that offers a comprehensive array of tools and features that are easy to use and moderately simple to understand. There are no real issues with software deployment and cross-platform use. Customer support is efficient within reason, and CorelDraw offers a lot of support and guidance, especially for newcomers to a platform that has been around for many years and has progressed with market expectations. There is a wide variety of tutorials online for the software for aspects anyone is unsure of and they cover every aspect of the software.

Cons

Installation of the software and be a little frustrating at times as the last time I attempted to install CorelDRAW it had some issues with my current version of windows and only opened the first time after installation, I installed an earlier version and it worked fine, admittedly at the time, I was using Windows 7, which was at the time unsupported by windows. Some of the features, unless you do extensive research do take time to understand if you haven't used them before. When first opening Coreldraw there is an overwhelming amount of tools to choose from and I feel this does not present with a user-friendly environment.

### "CorelDraw- amazing vector software when you don't need all those Adobe bells and whistles."

June 20, 2022

5.0

I wouldn't keep paying for Corel every year if it wasn't worth the cost. The software feels very intuitive to me, and is easy to become fluent with. It has so many features that I still don't even fully understand how to use, but with the help guide and large user following, it's easy to figure out. And the stuff that I do use, it's really good at.

Pros

The features I use the most are the image trace and vector editing. I first learned CorelDraw when I was working as a laser engraver, and it was relatively easy to learn compared to Adobe products. There is an extensive support forum and help guide that you can use if you aren't sure how to use a feature, or even if you aren't sure what feature you need to achieve a certain effect. Now that I own my own business, I bought my own license for the software and use it to design all of my custom products, company apparel, and most of my branding and marketing materials.

Cons

I do wish there were more image editing tools such as background eraser and a wider selection of filters and automatic presets for photos.

Switched from

[Inkscape](https://www.capterra.com/p/178240/Inkscape/)

I used Inkscape for a couple of years after I learned CorelDraw but no longer had access to it through work. The biggest reason I switched is that CorelDraw displays correctly with my UktraHD 4K laptop display, while Inkscape's scaling doesn't support 4K and the buttons and controls were difficult to read. When I was learning the software, I had to use the magnifier application to figure out where things were. I dealt with it for a while because it's open source software (and free), but eventually I just wanted to be able to see my controls. Also, Corel supports more file types and the trace function is worlds better.

### "I resisted buying a product like this for so long - I wish I had bought it years ago!"

September 23, 2022

5.0

CorelDRAW is quite simply one of the best purchases I have ever backed. It gets used 2, 3 or 4 times a week acoss the business. The incredible number of tools available may not all be used by us but the fact is, when someone has an idea to do something, CorelDraw has a simpler or better way of doing it than other products we have used previously.

Pros

If you have used a graphics program before, then this is a professional solution will be a familiar one.

Cons

It is important to understand layers and also how to select different elements for editing.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing CorelDRAW

I don't like the complexity of Adobe Illustrator, neither do I like a subscription model. The fact is that Corel offer lower cost solutions and if I dont buy a new version each year then it is even cheaper overall.

Pros

CorelDRAW is a flexible creative suite that offers ease of use for a beginner and capability for an experienced designer. It has a great function with fonts and font envelopes to get the perfect shape you need for a logo.

Cons

### "The program used by the majority of graphic designers"

February 27, 2022

5.0

CorelDRAW is a modern, and very user friendly piece of software. I started using it for designing graphics and edit vector graphics for publication in my church. It is a great and fully featured software that I will keep using despite its somewhat expensive price.

Pros

I have been using this software since its version 12. It is becoming more and more useful helping me to deliver professional looking jobs. It doesn't take too long to understand each of the tools used. It does not consume too much computer memory thus not requiring a high-end machine. The ability to export to PDF resulting in light files is super!

Cons

Online integration is not great and it would be good if it actually saved the file instead of creating a backup. Pages management seems a bit cumbersome to me as it is kind of difficult to move the pages order. I don't like the new subscription mode prefering the once off payment.

### "The best vector graphic software"

March 22, 2022

5.0

Generally speaking, I suggest CorelDRAW as a superb decision for logo architects vector craftsmanship designers. As it has huge loads of elements superb for planning different sorts of expressions. With regards to eliminating significant blunders from the picture, refining the picture or video, or applying fundamental and advanced impacts, no other device is better compared to CorelDRAW. I tracked down CorelDRAW the ideal harmony between ease of use and usefulness. The image editor is not difficult to learn, the window examinations of plans assist the overall design process. This product is truly one of the most incredible old programs for realistic and vector altering. It performs well once you get an understanding on the best way to utilize it, and it isn't the case complex to learn.

Pros

Effectively examine your hand-brought pictures and convert into vector pictures. It resolves all issues connected with editing. Basically, there isn't anything you can't do with CorelDraw, you can accomplish nearly anything and can twist it to do such countless magnificent things in various ways.

Cons

It doesn't work with Mac and that's a shame. It should be more powerful when working with a large file size since it tends to slow down a bit. For the rest, I have nothing to say about it, it's great software.
