I use it mostly to import and modify vector and bitmap graphics for laser processing, which it works very well for. Cons It's more difficult to use CorelDRAW for dimensioned drawings, but great for quick sketches. Sometimes I design vectors for my business in CorelDRAW and sometimes I edit my images also in this software. I have created a number of brochures designs in CorelDRAW. All panels and tools are awesome. So the software is really incredible. Pros CorelDRAW allows you to design a professional vector illustration. You can edit your photos from scratch to the advanced level in CorelDRAW. The tools are very professional and the interface of the software is really easy to use and understand. You can create professional artwork according to your business requirements. Cons As I said, I am using the software since 2009, so I never faced any issue or problem in any version of CorelDRAW. It is a program that I recommend because it has a balanced mix of balanced features. It is not always possible to do everything you want right away. More with time you learn. Pros Well, listing the Corel pros is related to the first months of work I had at the company. It is a program that I liked right away. It has friendly interface, especially for those who are migrating from Paint, or even Word / PowerPoint. The resources compare a lot with the Illustrator, (which at the time I didn't know) The program offers varied resources in graphic creation, character editing, shadow effects and other variations to compose a creation. I see as a positive point in relation to competitors the balanced consumption of VRAM and RAM. And the ability to handle lots of lines and grids. Cons To the points that I think Corel should be concerned with I say: Automation of processes, could be more efficient, easier accessible and productive, I particularly waste a lot of time preparing these processes / files. Because corel doesn't have as many programs as your direct competitor, I see that integration with a cloud platform is missing. Pros Seamless between Paint and Draw. CorelDraw has a lot of good usable features that are excellent. I did like the cost for education until they raised the price for site licensing. It is getting cheaper to use Photoshop and I would not like to change over, but budgeting may cause us to. Cons The changes in features i.e. tracing bitmaps and also problems with installation. I also do not like the fact that drop shadows and glows are terrible in draw but excellent in Paint Reason for choosing CorelDRAW Familiarity and the suite of programs that are available. Allow to save in different types of files. Among its strengths, are the alignment and adjustment of objects. Sincerely, it is a versatile, useful and powerful tool. Cons Too many effects. One of the main disadvantages of CorelDraw is that it is full of effects and presets that for many designers are a nuisance rather than a good resource. That is why the uninitiated can see in these characteristics a great advantage because without hardly knowing about design they see how they can change a design with very little effort. Diese werden beim Import oft zerschossen. Hier sollte auf jeden Fall in der aktuellen Version nachgebessert werden. Wenn open source Programme das können, sollte Corel das wohl auch schaffen. In one step of my career I needed something more precise, and I switched to Adobe products. Adobe Photoshop is very good and easy for use, Adobe Illustrator is quite heavy for using in compare with CorelDRAW but precised designs are my goal. Pros I like that CorelDRAW (and all of Corel PC Suite) is very easy to use. Everything that I need to show I can with this software. Cons In some cases (especially with Corel Photopaint but with CorelDRAW too ) I have an issue with precise editing. This product is truly exceptional. Pros This is a useful asset with regards to laying out plans, text and pictures. Everythig can be done within CorelDraw which is incredible and saves a ton of time. Another thing I love about the software is that despite its many great features, it does not take much space in the memory. If you give it time to look around, you will find out tha corel draw has eveything to make your graphic works beautiful. I have always been a fan of simple colour for my designs and you will great collection of colours there. RGB and CYMK are the ones I used most. Cons The software is paid which is a con because I feel for a paid software it should offer much more features.
