It is super simple and very easy to learn while using the software. There are a few pretty great features in it but it doesn't have a lot to offer compared to other drawing software. This is a software I would recommend to people who want to learn and practice more than for people who want to create AAA quality work. Pros I mainly use CorelDraw for vector design as it's very simple to use and offers a lot of tools. I like how user-friendly the software is. It's perfect for those just starting to learn digital creation. There's a lot of resources offered to teach you so much. For graphic design CorelDRAW is decent for minor projects. Cons The software is paid which is a con because I feel for a paid software it should offer much more features. It allows us to generate technical drawings. Pros I've been using Corel Draw for >15years and it has always been my go-to package for vector drawings. It offers a shorter learning curve than Adobe Illustrator and an overall lower cost. The ease of doing paths (including spline/bezier control) is unique and makes using it fast and efficient. Cons Corel Draw has gone through a few iterations and development stalled for a few years, hence it's not up-to-date with the latest features (i.e. 3D, workflow integration). Pros Corel draw is one of the mostly used software for designing and I enjoyed every bit of it. The provision of the mostly needed tools for designing is really awesome ranging from the select tool, brush, text, razor and down to the color filled tool. And the upgraded feature tools included in the latest versions of Corel draw is unique and awesome. This is indeed one of the software I would refer to anybody interested in designing. Cons The basic thing I find challenging in Corel draw is the updated software versions from 16 and above, for instance Corel 16 will keep hanging on older laptops/desktops or systems will limited CPU. For how crucial it is at our business it does not deliver reliable results. It takes forever to load, it often freezes up, and deletes things you’re working on at random. When loading files from other design software (such as Adobe Illustrator) file transfer takes multiple steps. Even when these steps are followed exactly, sometimes CorelDRAW still doesn’t work. In order to engrave, for us CorelDRAW is a necessary evil. But if you can avoid having to use it, do. I would not recommend CorelDRAW to anyone. Pros At our company we use CorelDRAW as the main software for our engraving machines. So what I like most about this software is that it allows us to engrave, expanding our product line and customer base by 50%. In this sense, CorelDRAW is an extremely important part of our everyday work. Cons For it being such a major part of our daily work, using CorelDRAW is awful. Transferring files from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop that are necessary to use often results in major errors and wasted materials. This is the kind of software where you have to hold your breath and cross your fingers for it to function. CorelDRAW is unreliable, antiquated, unnecessarily complex yet also rudimentary. Using CorelDRAW reminds me of knock-off editing software that I used in 2005. This would be okay if it worked smoothly, but it doesn’t. Overall this is a very disappointing software. Its come a long way! I highly recommend it for page layout and logo creation. Its more affordable than than other software in its class. I have created many catalogs and logos over the years with CorelDraw. Always get compliments on my work. Pros The latest Version 2019 has been a great inprovement in the overall performance with Window 10. Many of the issues resolved from older versions. Page layout is the number one thing I use the software for. Also graphics and logo creation. I create single page marketing materials and even catalogs with CorelDraw. Its by the the best software I have used for creating marketing materials. A real pro is the formatting for microsoft office and the web. One click and its ready. Also the save to PDF is a great feature and used all the time. Cons I have no real cons with CorelDraw. The issues I see is in the learning curve as it takes time to learn. You just need to devote a significant amount of time to mastering it, since it is not an easy program to master, but it is really user friendly interface for create stunning designs. Pros I like how it can handle graphics and modify them into visuals I never imagined were possible. In my work as an image creator, I utilise this software on a daily basis. I'm constantly impressed by people's ability to design and delicately manipulate vector drawings. To my customers' satisfaction, I've also been able to use the image editor to conduct some detailed photo restoration. Cons Corel Draw software is so very different tools and powerful, learning to use it and discovering all of its capabilities takes time.
