April 17, 2020 2.0 Terribly unreliable...I hung in as long as I could but the instability of the software cost me MANY wasted production hours. I will never use a Corel product again...I have seen the light ! Pros Easy to use but horribly unstable...crashes constantly, usually when I'm on a deadline. ( CorelPhotoPaint is even WORSE ! ...if that's possible ) Cons You need to restart the program art least hourly or it falls apart...horrible instability. Pros it is very easy to you use .Very good toolbar and mouse scrolling option give you advantages always for zooming. It is possible to open new tab and work in diffferent work parelelly. I like track trace feature in corel , it is amazing if you want to draw something without effort. Cons it is very hard to work with ruler.I always try to use object postion and onject size object . The biggest problem is ,it is not possible to use newer corel draw file in your older version corel draw. I am using X6 version and can not open x7 version in my software. I had created simple designs for which I think Corel is a good option but to create compound vectors or shapes you have to spend extra effort and time in order to get the desired results. Pros Some tools of Corel caught my attention. This software offers to be the alternative as professional design software of Adobe products. Some features in design with Corel you can do with simple steps but some of them you need to have previous experience in designing. Cons To obtain professional results in graphics design with Corel you have to have previous knowledge in design. The lack of support to learn the use of the software. In difference with its direct competitor I think they should improve it. I have learned to use CorelDraw since many years ago. What I love from this software is it's very easy to learn and use. Pros: - Easy to draw vector files or banner, logo. - Easy to change color or mix many colors together. - Easy to trim, merge or combine vector files. - Good dimension tool, it allows us to measure the size of vector files. I really love CorelDraw because of its function, so if you are looking for a design tool for your work, try it and I believe that you will like it as me. Cons I don't like copy function (Ctrl D), because when I want to create copy files by using this key shortcut it often has error, didn't give a copy as I want. But this problem will be solved when I tried it again, I don't know why. Been using it for many, many years and would recommend it to anyone looking to design all their business needs or business needs of others, if you own a typesetting or printing company. Pros This software pretty much does it all. I've used it for designing stationary, flyers, banners, ad journals and books. One of the nicest feature I like is being able to easily step up my design for easy printing. That is, I can design a ticket that needs to be printed 8 up. I only have to design it once and with a few clicks I can step it up 8 times and then run it. Cons Well, this is a high end software and with it being that, it does a lot. Unless you are going to be doing high end work on a regular basis, learning how to do all the fancy things this software can do is very time consuming. Cons Maybe isn't de best software for work with photography composition or photography filters. The degradee in big formats is bad. Work with layers is more difficult than Illustrator. And finally, doesn't have the stability of the competition. Cons CorelDRAW was complex and required a lot of skills and training to make good designs which meant someone who is not trained as a graphics designer could hardly use it. Marketing Arts and Crafts Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "An extremely robust and useful tool for creating vector drawings" April 11, 2021 5.0 Corel is one of (if not the) best software for creating vector drawings, it has a wealth of tools and resources that is really impressive, the drawing tools, creating geometric shapes, features like welding, joining and grouping are very good and speed up the service too much, the software sometimes has some problems with very complex images and it is not always able to complete certain commands due to the complexity of the design but this is not one of the worst problems, the positives are greater than the negatives Pros Corel has a lot of resources, the drawing tools are very complete and diverse, the options for creating geometric shapes are also very good. The software allows you to work with a perfect alignment of the drawings and with very exact measurements in several units of measure, this is extremely important as you make drawings that require precision. The biomap masks and the possibility to change the drawings proportionally is also very good Cons It is a little expensive software, it has many, many features, but sometimes it is a little expensive for those just starting out. While I did at times have trouble finding instructions on specific technics, I found the software overall to be very versatile and the results looked quite professional. I was pleased with the cover designs I was able to make with Corel and I believe that once I'm completely proficient with it, it can very easily hold its own with similar programs. Pros I really liked the instructional videos that were included with my copy of CorelDraw. I was able to find directions for most of the functions I needed to use for my project right there in the software provided. Cons Because Corel is not as well known as other similar software, I had some trouble finding instructions outside of those provided in my copy. When I tried to find tutorials online, I would inevitably find a dozen tutorials from the most popular brand of this type of software for every Corel tutorial.
