And it's recommended for beginners to take initial steps as a designer. But CorelDRAW lacks some tools compared with other graphic design software in the field. And CorelDRAW web application is a great way to design on the go but it could expand regions. Pros CorelDRAW is better priced among other vector graphics software and one time purchase feature is highly recommended. Also being available on multiple platforms is another great feature I love about CorelDRAW. And I think CorelDRAW is much better for an beginner level graphic designers. Being compatible with AI and PSD files is appreciated in CorelDRW. Cons Although CorelDRAW is supporting AI and PSD files, it's limited to earlier versions of Photoshop and Illustrator. Would be happy if this function is updated. And unlike Adobe, CorelDRAW does not have a successful mobile version yet. And while installing and using sometimes I have run into several issues. Personally I would be happy if Corel is able to introduce more tools to make the design process easier. If you don't have so much experience in design, this app is your best ally for your designer career. The app offers a complete palette of colors and tools for your designs. I've used it during my job as a freelance designer for eight months. I am satisfied with the results for marketing purposes. Cons I'd like to see the app environment with more tools and another look. I had to do a ton of research, buy how to's and I'm still just a novice. That being said, I am NOT a graphic designer by trade so take my view as biased towards a beginner's view. The program does appear to be very powerful and for the most part, it does what I need it to. I need to put in more work to understand/gain the knowledge as it is not the program's fault for my shortcomings. Pros My main use is creating vector files. These graphics/images that I work with need to be created into an outline image thus CDW is unable to trace an image in any format, it would be very time consuming to do it manually. CDW is good at this, not great. Cons The tracing function can improve a good amount. There are a great deal of options, tabs, etc so if you're not going familiarize yourself with them, you not only lose out on a function, you really aren't using the program to its full potential. It's very complicated to work with large formats, and vectorial formats are the best. A multi-page PDF can be opened, edited, and saved using CorelDraw. None of Adobe's programs allow you to open and edit a PDF file in its entirety. I recently switched to Affinity Designer which is MUCH cheaper. Affinity Designer is wicked fast and is a much better product.
