Quality Machinery Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Small Machine & Manufacturing Shop Review" September 22, 2023 5.0 Gagelists gives us a much cleaner simple gage management program. It also allows us to have multiple people have access from their own computer, or phone. There is no more need for a single computer or station to have all of this data. Using an online server gives us a much faster program, and being able to create templates instills a sense of consistency when doing reports. Pros Easy, clean and simple lay out makes it very quick to find or search for what you need, and to print reports for audits or reviews. The app makes this a game changer as far as ease of use and utility. Being able to look up a gage on the factory floor, and being able to ensure it's calibration status gives us very quick assurance. Cons I wish I could remove the options in the gage descriptions we do not as a company want to use, such as specific manufactures, Aquisition dates, cost, ect. It would be nice to able to customize and make the information screen smaller and quicker, and it would help prevent issues of people putting incorrect information into different tabs. Customer Support Representative Medical Devices Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Review from a french user" October 16, 2019 3.0 As more and more of our data and services are stored and managed online with dedicated application running on a web application I started to look on Internet for a similar service to manage our test and measurement equipments. I found and have been using it since. Right now, only for equipment used by the technical support and this still in parallel with the official way my company uses. Pros Our company is based in France but has an office in US. It is easy to share and update information. My US co-worker uses it and never reported problem or had question about its use. The same test and measure equipment can be assigned to a different person after a calibration, traceability is then easier to achieve because information is directly updated. I never suffered from disconnections and the site is always accessible. I regularly discover new features in the Web version. And I can always ask for a new feature if I think it is missing. Team is responsive. Cons I do not use all features, only its basic way. Nothing negative to report. Perhaps the lack on information about improvements. For example, I recently noticed it was possible to customize the display of the columns, I do not remember if it was possible in the past (well, I just checked again and everything is in changelog, improvements should be less discreet) I personally tried but did not find interest in the phone app for this software because it does not bring additional values to our needs. The way icon is active is not always very clear but absolutely no blocking. Reason for choosing GageList No alternative product was tested yet. I was just a test to see if it was possible to follow and manage test and measure equipments with such Wabe application. September 27, 2023 5.0 Our overall experience has been positive. the ease of access from any computer is a huge advantage. Changing over did take some time, but once all the gages were entered, we actually had an accurate log of the devices we have. Pros We were able to switch from using Gage Pack, which is much more expensive and even more so if you need multiple seats. With Gage list, we are able to have multiple users, and we only pay for what we use. I love that your pricing is based off the number of gages we have instead of having to pay a very expensive fee regardless if we have 10 gages or 1000. We saved quite a bit of money for our company by changing over to . One of the biggest pros about Gagelist is that I can access it from any computer. With Gage pack, you have to be on the computer where the software is loaded. Since Gage list is web based, i can access it from home. If I have to miss a day of work, I can still access our gages and contact employees who need to perform calibrations. Cons I have no quite figured out how to send email notifications when gages are coming due. I still have to evaluate the calibrations coming due soon, then email the pertinent people to get those calibrations done. I believe the function is there, but i have not been able to receive an email about coming due gages, or past due gages. Reason for choosing GageList the ability to access from any computer and the price. Switched from [GAGEpack](https://www.capterra.com/p/41009/GAGEpack/) Pricing, ease of access, plus we have hundreds of gages in that were not set up correctly. That program is more difficult to use, and without training, its hard to utilize all of the features. Once we began the free trial, we quickly realized that GageList did everything we needed it to do, and it was alot easier to do the things we needed as well. I was able to navigate and perform tasks as soon as I logged in for the first time. Cons When I try to back up to a previous screen (like from the "Active Gage" list back to the dashboard), it takes me to a completely different page. Easier put, the back button on the browser doesn't go back to the previous page. It's not a huge deal, just an observation. We are happy with the software. Pros Tracking calibrated tools in is a simple way to set automatic alerts each year. We are not a calibrator, but we track a few hundred gages for our lab. Cons Initially, there were some features that needed to be added to work efficiently, but as time has progressed, those features were added, and work well. In that time because each facility "managed" their asset calibrations as they saw fit, there were gaps and nonconformance's in calibration documentation found in nearly every surveillance audit conducted. As a result, we recently employed to our manufacturing sites so every facility has a central location to store asset calibration data. Pros Product is easy to use, whether navigating in general, or setting up/loading gages. The software also has custom settings offerings so you can tailor the look to your business. Cons Mass uploads of gages is a bit cumbersome at first, however, the technical support offered by helped us get past that very quickly. Not only is it much simpler to stay on top of calibration status, but all users can know where any particular tool is located and who it has been issued to. This makes sharing tools between locations (even hundreds of miles apart) much more efficient. It has also allowed us to keep closer tabs on where our tools are located at any given time. Pros I like that multiple users in various locations all have access to the same records in real time whether it be from their desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. I have found it very easy to use and even the least "tech savvy" user in my organization can find the information for a specific gauge quite easily. Cons I would prefer that when viewing items by column header filtering, only those items fitting the filter criteria would be displayed. July 30, 2019 4.0 We have worked to setup to help our research lab maintain calibration and preventive maintenance on equipment. It has proven to be very well-designed and able to accomplish most of what we've needed. Customer support took suggestions for what need to see improved and said it may get incorporated into a future build. Pros Ease of use Low cost to implement Low recurring cost Mobile friendly Multiple users possible Cons Not very customizable . . . we would like to be able to add some functionality for multiple calibration/maintenance activities in a year. For example, one instrument has a calibration that is done annually, one that is done quarterly, and then preventive maintenance that is done weekly and annually. Currently there is only room to list a single activity with a given instrument, so we have resorted to the workaround of creating multiple entries for a single piece of equipment. Pros The intuitive ease of data entry makes it easy to have a number of staff involved and using the software without records getting messed up. The weekly emails of overdue and coming due items are essential for staying on top of calibration. Not charging by the user has allowed us to distribute the data entry across the shop floor and keep accountability with the tool users. Cons There could be some further options to select a quality standard and have the terminology used align better with that particular standard, but it really seems to have everything we need! If not for him and his support, I might have abandoned this free software for something else. But his support has turned that around. Thank you. Pros We rely on the reminder system of via email to coordinate calibrations. Cons Adding more flexibility to the user to customize reports/email notifications would be great. First, the companion mobile app (iOS or Android) does virtually everything the browser-based platform does, and it automatically syncs with your account whenever you have cell coverage.
