We completely replaced the paper based system that I inherited as Quality manager with minimal issues. Pros free, excellent interface, and very easy to use. Pros Scale-able to small business/sole proprietorship, enables easy compliance with gage calibration tracking, testing, and document management. Customer service thus far has been excellent, a real person will get back to you quickly via either telephone or a trouble ticket. Any suggestions I made for improvement have either been almost immediately implemented or put on the white board for action. Cons There is some vagueness when it comes to calibration instruction documents and long form creation during calibration procedures, but I'm assured it will be improved shortly. My users have had no complaints and have taken to using it very quickly. I'm glad that we made the change from our archaic, antiquated Access based software. Pros Gagelist is a great tool forstart-up or smaller organization. It has the bare essentials for most items and can be customized. However, if you are looking for a full system like GageTrak, this may not meet your expectations. Cons Limited options. It takes a little why to figure how how to use the system to it's fulliest. Pros I really like that there is a section for location and department for the Gage along with who owns it. It helps locating the gage during calibration a lot quicker. Pros \- Software is easy to update and add new gages. - Reminders are helpful to let you know when equipment is close to recalibration / service date. - Software looks very professional and impressed our customers. Cons Maybe could have more category options so you can add gages based on your companies different departments (can sort of achieve this with the filter options though). Training new users takes around 5 minutes. Cons We just started a gage database, so it was easy for us to create gages and everything around it, but I would not recommend to people who are switching from another software/database that contains a lot of gages. It would be an improvement to make gagelist our main system for calibration, but for the amount of work to bring it all over isnt really worth the work.
