Pros

The NewOrg platform is incredibly flexible. We are not their "typical" client, but they were able to customize their platform to accommodate all the quirks of our non-profit's programs, including building 3 custom portals for our stakeholders; building out custom, calculated fields that help us with our reporting; creating a variety of reports to answer the questions we need to be able to manage our programs and show our impact; and created custom solutions to help our team process client applications more accurately and more quickly. Additionally, most of those items (except the portals) were created in hours to days - not weeks to months like the other systems we have used. When we submit tickets, they are usually resolved in less than a day, and if not possible, they let us know when it will be complete. Implementation couldn't have been more collaborative, thought-provoking, focused, fun (yes actually fun!), and productive. It was truly a joy to implement this system and that's something I've never said before.

Cons

We had a few items that we'd like to customize but can't, but none are dealbreakers. I love the reports and dashboards, they're a huge upgrade over our prior system, but a few more customization options, summation options, and visualization updates would go a long way.

If we could do it all over again, we would pick NewOrg. It was the only platform that met our unique organizational needs and our budget. The personalized onboarding process was a surprising bonus that we didn't expect.

Pros

As a nonprofit, we did a lot of research on softwares prior to choosing NewOrg. NewOrg fit our budget while also meeting all of our "wish list" features. We were thrilled with the onboarding process, which was personalized and interactive. A huge bonus is the ongoing support provided for a very reasonable cost after launch. The platform is easy to use, and any time we have questions, our dedicated support person is quick to respond.

Cons

We initially sought a software that made it easier to build our own customized reports. However, it's very easy to submit a support ticket for a customized report, and the support team is very responsive.

I appreciate that there is a public facing portal for the people we serve to better access resources and support. This feature will streamline our services. I appreciate the extra effort the implementation team took to create a specific portal for the social workers we partner with outside our organization to also support this process.

Cons

We are still learning the reporting feature and what we can and cannot do on our own. While every request we've made has been met, I'm hoping become a better user of this system with the ability to independently pull information.

The system was already in place when I joined the organization, and I was immediately impressed by how well-structured it is from a donor-management perspective. I use NewOrg every day for grant management, and I don't know what I would do without it. I manage a lot of document attachments, and NewOrg helps me stay organized.

Pros

NewOrg is a great way for our organization to share information across teams. It makes finding the information we need easy and consistent. The customer support team is responsive to our requests, and they work hard to help us develop reports and other components that make our work efficient.

Cons

NewOrg is a little dated in its look, but aesthetics are a small thing in comparison to functionality.

When I first came onboard as Executive Director, the message I received from the Board of Directors was that NewOrg was broken. Not only was it not broken, it has turned out to be even better than I expected. \[sensitive content hidden\] and his support team are reliable and creative and we think of them as part of our work team.

We find that the applications within NewOrg work well and if we need updates, the support team is available to help us get what we need for our non-profit business.

Cons

The only downside for me is the reporting application. I don't find it user-friendly.

My experience has been excellent. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Shout out to Nicholas! Good product for our needs. Excellent case notes/case management, collecting demographic information, storing client documents, and recording all client activity (events) with an run report format. We use the system for client information not for donors or volunteers.

Pros

When I began working at my current job I was not happy with the way the data was organized in our NewOrg data base. I contacted support and they were able to guide me through making extensive changes to our system. As a result our system is now intuitive for users and the reports are capturing the information needed. I was extremally pleased with the process. The support tech was extremely knowledgeable about the needs of my agency and was able to give great advise on how to make improvements. He was also extremely helpful in teaching me about the system and the impact of certain decisions. As the needs of the agency have evolved we have been able to update our system to capture new Information. The response time for support requests has always been very fast!

Cons

Certain fields are not able to save historical information so data is lost when the fields are updated. For example if someone moves from homelessness to housed, and our housing status field is updated we loose the historical data that the client was ever homeless. Sometimes it takes too long to run long reports that may span over a full service year.

We have been able to go from using multiple spreadsheets, folders, and drives to using only one system to hold all the information we need.

Pros

When searching for the right software, we came across a number that worked well for smaller programs but not for growth. With NewOrg, we can grow our small organization into something great without worrying about changing it in the future. This software can handle multiple users seamlessly and was customized to fit our needs. I can easiily gather data for grant reports, and no longer have to create formulas to create my charts. Support service is wonderful and was another reason we chose NewOrg.

Cons

The calendar does not sync with my google calendar for security reasons.

Overall we love NewOrg, its capabilities and features. We especially appreciate the NewOrg Support Team. They are amazing! They have been responsive to our ever changing needs and oh so helpful in finding solutions as challenges arise.

Pros

One of the best things we like about NewOrg is that it is easy to access information. NewOrg affords our agency the ability to organize all program data in one database. Many of our clients access multiple program services. With the NewOrg Management System, our clients are entered only once as contacts but then 'admitted' to various programs streamlining the data entry process. The implementation process was designed to meet our specific agency needs. It was clearly outlined with customization, beta testing, training, timelines and benchmark meetings. The comprehensive training was well received by our staff. The Training Video Library on the NewOrg website offers brief tutorials and ongoing updates on the system’s features and functionality. The Duplicate Wizard is a great tool to help us eliminate multiple data entry of client information.

Cons

What we like least is the industrial appearance of the reports. We would like them to be more relective of our agency and the services we provide. It would be great if they were colored and had our logo. Also there are a couple of additional customizable features that we would like such as adding/changing colors on the screen and the ability to select a 24 hour clock instead of just a 12 hour clock.

We've used NewOrg as our client database and CRM for several years now. NewOrg is flexible, responsive CRM that has always met our needs, and when the needs change, the NewOrg Support and Development teams are there to support those changes. The NewOrg team is very responsive and easy to work with, and specializing in non-profit organizations, understands the unique challenges to operations in the sector. I would recommend NewOrg to any non-profit organization looking for a scalable CRM solution that can be customized to meet their unique needs.

The NewOrg system we implemented is critical to our organization. It improved our processes by creating a job portal and eliminated some of our data entry tasks, creating more time for us to do more important tasks. Plus, New Org provides great tech support!

Pros

NewOrg has a great implementation team. They spent a lot of time with us customizing a system that meets all of our needs. In addition to typical nonprofit needs such as fundraising and record keeping, they created a job matching system and job portal which met our nonprofit's specific needs.

Cons

There are some fields which didn't apply to my application and I had to learn to ignore them.

NewOrg was the only system that met all of our needs. They could easily create a job matching system for us plus a job portal and they provided tech support.

Pros: Customer service is excellent! Timely responses and quick resolution to problems. The staff takes a very "hands on" approach to providing service and someone is always available to assist you. Con: As with any database software, it can't do "everything" we want, BUT PRO: it does nearly everything we want, and the staff is willing to collaborate to solve challenges or provide "work arounds" to get us everything we want. We love the system and recommend it to others who need to capture complex data. Their implementation and design team is unsurpassed!

Cons: Reports can be confusing if you don't direct exactly what you need and want to see as the outcome. So it's very important to know up front what you want when asking for a specific report to be made. That is more a Con on our side than on NewOrg.

I have had a very positive experience throughout implementation, launching and now reporting, building dashboards and utilizing customer support. NewOrg helped us bridge the divide between program implementation needs, funding and contract requirements and building in organizational dreams/learning culture features that we were unable to get from our previous client management system.

Pros

NewOrg has great support and walked us through every step of the implementation process to make sure we were getting what we needed for both front line staff and reporting.

Cons

Moving to a new system is always a challenge for staff and there is a learning curve, but NewOrg set us up with thorough instructions and ongoing real live human support.

We talked with other organizations using all of the systems we were considering, but NewOrg had the best customer service support reviews of the options we were considering. They were also able to meet our confidentiality challenges that we face as a multi service organization including domestic violence services which requires specific security requirements between dv and non-dv services/clients.

CiviCore's customer support was slow to respond, at best. Reporting was an ongoing challenge as the reporting feature was not intuitive and we have frequent reporting requirement changes. It's honestly been really pleasant! A lot of non-profits don't go into database development thinking it will be fun-- we're social workers. :-) Our Engineer, \[sensitive content hidden\], was really thoughtful and deliberate in his recommendations during the development phase. By the end of it, it felt like he had a good understanding our program, both from a data perspective and from a service delivery framework.

Pros

I really appreciated the individualized support that NewOrg gave our organization during the planning phase. Our engineer asked a lot of good questions and even, anticipated potential issues during the development.

Cons

The biggest challenge for us so far is that we aren't able to make certain fields required. Part of this is that our multi-service organization have access to the same questions. While some questions are required for a department, it may not be for another. It would be great if we could somehow find a way to make certain question required based on the department.

As a Pathway Manager, my experience with NewOrg has been very positive. It is an essential tool for supervising my team, as it centralizes both academic and financial requests in one place. The robust reporting features allow me to track progress and manage workflows effectively. While some processes require extra steps and I look forward to future features like participant chat, the current development of the participant portal is a major win for transparency. Additionally, their customer support is outstanding and always responsive to our team's needs

Cons

While NewOrg is a valuable daily tool, there are certain features that are currently unavailable, such as an integrated chat function for direct participant communication. Additionally, some workflows currently require extra steps to complete a single process, which can impact overall efficiency.
