The best solution for us at the moment in our price range. As we grow we'll begin looking for something a bit more robust at a higher price.

Pros

This isn't the best NGO management software out there, but it is definitely the best option at it's pricing tier. It enables overall management of the many moving parts of an NGO. The organization manual is an amazing feature--internal documentation is something no one ever has time to do. Reporting generation is also crucial. Customer service really makes NewOrg stand out.

Cons

There's a few features that we feel are missing, in particular re: internal communication platform options and data import. Other features could be improved upon, especially the report generation function and the donor module.

We cannot say enough positive praise about New Org. The entire onboarding team and support team have been responsive, communicative, and incredibly collaborative through the process. From hearing our specific needs and supporting overall scoping, to determining feasibility of wishlist items and how it would impact other parts of our portal integration, the team has been true partners from start to finish. Everything we ask for has been truly vetted, tested, and provided, and the ongoing support through the quick response to their ticket support system has been efficient. We are very happy with this system and truly cannot express enough how transformative the integration of New Org has been for our organization.

Pros

New Org has provided incredible transparency into the fiscal health of our organization, as wall as our current status. The real-time reporting, quick support responses to tickets, integration with other systems, and user-friendly functionality has been transforming our ability to provide urgent assistance needs to our clients, and to provide excellent customer service.

Cons

There is nothing not working to meet the needs of our organization within New Org. They have truly catered the platform to meet our unique program needs, and we have worked collaboratively to continue to expand our platform to better support our stakeholders.

Our organization provides direct services and NewOrg has helped us spend more time with our patrons instead of getting bogged down in paperwork. The migration to our platform has also made a real difference for our time-management needs, addressing gaps our office had been struggling with. The price is reasonable, and I appreciate how the platform can be tailored to our organization’s needs. I also value the personal touch throughout the experience, from sales through to support.

Pros

From the start, NewOrg has tailored their platform to meet our organization’s needs. Their support team has been incredibly helpful and accommodating whenever we’ve needed changes, and it genuinely feels like they do it all with a smile. Their response time on support tickets is very quick, and they pay close attention to the details to make sure we’re fully supported.

Cons

The only downside I’ve experienced with using NewOrg is that we weren’t fully aware of all its capabilities. We thought we were using the platform to its fullest, but during an annual review with their staff, we realized it can do much more. In particular, it offers additional support for our end-of-month reports that we hadn’t been taking advantage of.

It's honestly been really pleasant! A lot of non-profits don't go into database development thinking it will be fun-- we're social workers. :-) Our Engineer, \[sensitive content hidden\], was really thoughtful and deliberate in his recommendations during the development phase. By the end of it, it felt like he had a good understanding our program, both from a data perspective and from a service delivery framework.

Pros

I really appreciated the individualized support that NewOrg gave our organization during the planning phase. Our engineer asked a lot of good questions and even, anticipated potential issues during the development.

Cons

The biggest challenge for us so far is that we aren't able to make certain fields required. Part of this is that our multi-service organization have access to the same questions. While some questions are required for a department, it may not be for another. It would be great if we could somehow find a way to make certain question required based on the department.

NewOrg has been an outstanding tool for managing our donors and strengthening our fundraising efforts. The system was already in place when I joined the organization, and I was immediately impressed by how well-structured it is from a donor-management perspective. The reporting features are particularly valuable, providing clear, actionable insights into donor lifecycle, engagement levels, and our overall donor pipeline. Whether I’m looking at individual relationships or reviewing aggregate, year-over-year trends, NewOrg makes it easy to understand where we’ve been, where we are, and where the opportunities are. From our initial sales call through the implementation, the NewOrg staff was friendly, curious, and supportive. Very rarely did we hear that they could not meet our needs, but when the system couldn't do something we asked for, they came up with alternatives. The team was conscious of our tight not-for-profit budget and our small team's schedules. With our implementation complete, NewOrg left us confident that if something changes, they will be there to help us.

Pros

NewOrg is user-friendly and adaptable. It is clearly built with a not-for-profit in mind. The implementation team was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the customization and testing process. They took the time to listen, learn about our organization and all of its quirks, and make our NewOrg work for us. You don't realize how many "exceptions" there are until you talk through a "typical" day or program. NewOrg customized the product to meet our needs without overcomplicating things. The reporting gives us what we need without all of the extra steps we had to do before in excel or google docs. And multiple people can now access the information simultaneously. It's great to have it all in one place!

Cons

We didn't have the need for all of the bells and whistles since we already have systems in place for contacting our clients.

I truly enjoyed being able to be a part of the development of how we wanted it to work and to be able to provide feedback and get great results from the NewOrg team to deliver a system that is exactly what we were looking for with some great features, which allows our organization to complete our daily tasks with a much greater level of efficiency. I appreciate the level of customer service that the NewOrg team provides, customer service like theirs is rare these days, but Greatly appreciated and makes the process smoother when dealing with something (a system) that can be confusing to some!

Pros

I enjoy the high level of customization which can be created for the needs of your organization. I also truly enjoy working with \[sensitive content hidden\], the way he is able to understand our organizations needs and make the system reflect this is astounding! He is truly a gem! It took me a bit to learn, but that isn't because of anything to do with NewOrg. Sometimes, technology and I don't get along, but I can say that \[sensitive content hidden\] was always extremely patient and was great at walking me through a process so I could better understand how the system works!

### "Finally, no more MS Access!!"

Pros

Came from using MS Access, which I was okay with, but to get our data for the reports, I had to spend hours navigating through spreadsheets, forms, and cells. Again, it worked but was time-consuming, and on top of that very hard to minimize human errors and troubleshoot. It is VERY easy to use NewOrg. Love that most of the reports that I need are easily accessible with just one click. The support team is phenomenal and very patient!

Cons

If I had to pick anything, the inventory system we are using now is not the best compared to what I am used but it is completely understandable as it was custom-built for us and was not originally something that was within the scope of NewOrg. It works fine but not ideal.

### "NewOrg made it possible to work remotely during Pandemic"

For the last few years (prior to Pandemic) we have used this system for one of our program and have had NO issues. It provides all the features we needed. Anytime we needed to add or remove items from the program, they were right on it with the same or next day. Excellent customer and IT support. Once the pandemic hit, our office was going to be shut down and panicked on how we are to serve our clients with our other program. Contacted NewOrg and they were able to build another system quickly that allowed us to work remotely. I cannot express how happy we are as were able to customize the program to fit our needs, especially being a Federal Grant holder for 2 programs.

Pros

The ability to customize the program, select type of report to run, it can be used anywhere at anytime from different mobile devices.

Cons

The ability to remove old team member names from current view when running reports and on some dropdown items. These names must remain due to the documenting but should be removed from current viewing.

I have been using NewOrg for 8 years and I can say that it has definitely evolved to meet our needs. In that time, I've cultivated a relationship with the developers/support team personnel, and it is apparent that they take pride in what they do for the companies they serve. They are quick to respond to support tickets and check in periodically to ensure they are meeting our needs in terms of functionality. They also work to accommodate shifts in workflows that arise from program changes, which are frequent when dealing with the government. NewOrg is a boon for smaller organizations looking for an affordable but effective customer management system.

Pros

The best things about NewOrg are its ease of use, customizability to the organization's needs, the support team who truly strives to provide the best user experience, as well as the price point for the amount of functionality that is provided.

Cons

Some features such as the Dashboard, seem limited/ aren't as intuitive. Also, reports may be hard to customize once they are developed depending on the criteria you wish to use. The NewOrg team can often find workarounds for this but something to keep in mind if you will need a more fluid reporting tool.

We have been able to go from using multiple spreadsheets, folders, and drives to using only one system to hold all the information we need.

Pros

When searching for the right software, we came across a number that worked well for smaller programs but not for growth. With NewOrg, we can grow our small organization into something great without worrying about changing it in the future. This software can handle multiple users seamlessly and was customized to fit our needs. I can easiily gather data for grant reports, and no longer have to create formulas to create my charts. Support service is wonderful and was another reason we chose NewOrg.

Cons

The calendar does not sync with my google calendar for security reasons.

Pros

NewOrg replaced our in-house database that was running on a PC. Our data was lost when the pc crashed. Having our data in the cloud gives us peace of mind.

Cons

We have not had any issues with NewOrg, it does everything we need.

We have used New Org for more than a decade and it continues to grow with the organization and meet our needs. The team at New Org are true thought partners in helping to create the most elegant and efficient solution.

Cons

We don't have many complaints about the system. Any time we have a challenge, the New Org team helps us think through a better solution. While no system is perfect, their team and management are exceptional, personable, and highly responsive and that has kept us as users for more than a decade.

The NewOrg system we implemented is critical to our organization. It improved our processes by creating a job portal and eliminated some of our data entry tasks, creating more time for us to do more important tasks. Plus, New Org provides great tech support!

Pros

NewOrg has a great implementation team. They spent a lot of time with us customizing a system that meets all of our needs. In addition to typical nonprofit needs such as fundraising and record keeping, they created a job matching system and job portal which met our nonprofit's specific needs.

Cons

There are some fields which didn't apply to my application and I had to learn to ignore them.

Reason for choosing NewOrg

NewOrg was the only system that met all of our needs. They could easily create a job matching system for us plus a job portal and they provided tech support.

Pros: Customer service is excellent! Timely responses and quick resolution to problems. The staff takes a very "hands on" approach to providing service and someone is always available to assist you. Con: As with any database software, it can't do "everything" we want, BUT PRO: it does nearly everything we want, and the staff is willing to collaborate to solve challenges or provide "work arounds" to get us everything we want. We love the system and recommend it to others who need to capture complex data. Their implementation and design team is unsurpassed!

Pros: Quick response time in NewOrg Support! Easy to learn and use the program NewOrg Support is very eager and willing to help you and to provide what you need! Cons: Reports can be confusing if you don't direct exactly what you need and want to see as the outcome. So it's very important to know up front what you want when asking for a specific report to be made. That is more a Con on our side than on NewOrg.

### "So Happy We Switched to NewOrg!"

We recently made the switch to NewOrg from our previous data management platform. Immediately upon switching, our team knew we had made the right decision. In the past, our data management system had felt like a one-size-fits-none approach to a subject that varies extraordinarily for each organization. We had had to devise ways to ensure our programs’ data fit into their platform, even when the two weren’t compatible. But NewOrg’s platform is customizable to fit our organization’s programs and needs. Our staff was initially hesitant to make the transition to a new software. While we all recognized the need for growth, the learning curve with any new implementation can be intimidating and interrupt workflow. We can happily report that the implementation process and learning curve were both much easier than we anticipated, with the NewOrg team working on an expedited timeline to help us get our most important programs up and running as soon as possible. Whenever we sought help (primarily for user error) NewOrg was responsive and patient as they walked us through the solution. We want to make a special shout-out to \[sensitive content hidden\], who aided us in the implementation, as well as to Jared, who first walked us through NewOrg’s features without pressuring us. Together, they exceeded our expectations and made transitioning feel completely manageable. NewOrg also provided custom manuals for our staff to refer back to the instructions independently. Our previous system only offered a one-time group training recording, which was difficult to follow and allowed for certain details to be forgotten as time went on. In contrast, NewOrg’s customizable manuals are detailed and clear, with step-by-step instructions accompanied by screen shots. This manual has empowered our team in our strides to be data-driven—and when we need extra help, their dedicated customer service team has been timely and helpful. This is such a relief after experiences with other data platforms where customer service takes weeks or even months to answer a ticket. Far from overwhelming, NewOrg’s excellent team made the transition process smooth and even enjoyable.

Cons

N/A-We haven't found anything that we dislike about NewOrg. Our experience has only been positive with NewOrg!
