### "Junos Pulse - the most secured VPN service"

May 15, 2021

5.0

Junos Pulse is used across the company. All the management and employees use this as our default VPN. I can connect to the company shared drive through this application while I work from home or I am on business trip. My satisfaction with this software is it ensures data security without any breach.

Pros

I. Easy to connect. II. Deployment of Junos Pulse was very easy and customer support service is excellent. III. Connecting to the remote server is very fast and efficiently. IV. Data security is ensured always. V. Can access to the shared drive from anywhere.

Cons

Sometimes it disconnects automatically when connected from less bandwidth internet connection. Other than this, Junos Pulse is serving the purpose very efficiently.

### "Decent, but also has some annoying issues"

May 1, 2020

4.0

3.75/5 stars. I am an employee of a company that uses the software for remote networking connectivity to company resources. I mostly care about getting connected and getting my work done. Having to use a VPN at all is annoying (even if it is necessary), and I only care about getting it up and running so I can forget about it. The 3.75 stars are for the fact that it does what it's supposed to and is reasonably simple. The -1.25 stars are mostly for its obtrusiveness when user sessions time out, and to a lesser degree because of its difficult setup on Linux (Windows setup was fine though).

Pros

This software does what it's supposed to do. I haven't had issues with network connectivity or basic functionality. Once it is set up, it has a simple interface and is easy to use (though the setup may be confusing on Linux; see below). The simple interface will be an important feature for users like myself, i.e., employees who only care about establishing a stable network connection and getting their work done, without need for advanced functionality. The above reasons are enough to give it 4 stars, maybe 3.75 if I could be more precise.

Cons

There is one extremely annoying aspect of the software. When the session is 5 minutes from timing out, a window pops up \_\_on top\_\_ of whatever other window I may have open at the time. This is annoying and unnecessary in any case. But the worst is when I am playing a video games on my PC, and the notification pops up and obscures my view. In certain fast-paced action games, this can completely ruin my game session. This problem has an easy solution: give an option to suppress the timeout notification. However, there does not seem to be such a feature. Sure, I can disconnect the session before switching to something else on my computer, but it is annoying to have to remember to do this every time (and it forces me to log back in later). A related issue is that when the session times out and no user input has been detected for several minutes, the login window refreshes and the process repeats ad infinitum. Though less disruptive than the popup window, this still seems unnecessary. Finally, the setup was difficult on a Linux OS. Maybe this can't be helped. But I wasn't impressed either.

### "Best Remote Access Solution Available"

February 18, 2019

5.0

We have Junos Pulse as our teleworking/remote portal both for employees and contractors. Each group has its own access rules and resources. We can disclose internal applications in a safe manner.

Pros

Junos Pulse can disclose any internal app or site. It is extremely flexible. It can even rewrite internal web pages so you can open them from the Internet. It supports multiple login sources and can make different login portals on one appliance, all with separate rules and resources. I know no other platform that offers these features.

Cons

The management interface is not straightforward. Also reporting options are... basic. You need quite some experience to understand how rewrite rules and filters work.

### "Junos Pulse to remotely access workstations "

January 28, 2019

5.0

I conduct cognitive neuroscience research and lead neuroimaging projects. I often travel for business and need to continue working on the data we collect in the office and store on our university-based servers. Junos Pulse enables secure access, and helps me access apps and data that I would never be able to handle locally on my laptop. It has greatly enhanced my ability to work remotely.

Pros

secure, fast, well-designed, impeccable solution to access our work servers and databases

Cons

no complaints whatsoever, we have tested several alternatives and this continue to be our gold-standard

I used the VPN solution for more than 2 years and earlier also I did have experince with the solution. The configuration troubleshooting are too easy and really defined one.

Pros

All the configurations are easy to implement and the quality of the VPN connections are great.Troubleshooting is very much easier compare to any other software in the market.

Cons

Support is a bit weak. Support team could be more technically capable.

### "Simple to use VPN. Minimal management required"

September 15, 2017

5.0

Pros

The Always-On functionality operates exactly like it's titled, connecting almost immediately after a network is detected. Never had a crash issue.

Cons

Always-On can be too sensitive at times. It should be able to detect if the connected network actually has internet or is a private sandbox for direct Peer-To-Peer communication.

Pros

Very simple interface for users that allows to connect to VPN with your business issued certificates and a single password that never changes. Who likes having to change passwords frequently?

Cons

Connectivity is stable but slow depending on where you are located. I have tried in same country with great results, but slower when using from different countries even on broadband.
