It is fairly easy to use, especially across various teams which are located remote. Overall, a good product for any small-to mid sized organization trying to implement a better document and idea sharing platform. Pros It is a great tool to collaborate across multiple projects and provides effective task management with team members. The UI/UX is responsive and it is compatible on mobile devices as well(such as ipad). It is very easy to organize your content through the following streams 1)News 2)Events 3)Users 4)Documents The platform provides a 'working canvas' where you can create project(s) and share documents & idea with others which they can contribute on as well. Cons It could incorporate more features such as better sharing of content via chats to other team members. The feature to customize your notifications is lacking as well. Our website is simple to use, easy to navigate and very easy to administer and keep updated. Adding and changing content is a cinch on Plone. Plus, it is very easy to train someone else to use it. Within an hour or so, a brand new user can be doing page edits and adding content. This is very helpful in a small nonprofit where there isn't a huge IT budget. Pros Plone is super-easy to learn and work with, and to train others on. It doesn't take long at all to become a skilled content manager and administrator on Plone. Cons We wish there were more options for graphics and design on Plone. Furthermore, given its incredible potential, it has helped to guide positive communication strategies (CEO) for the company. We are happy to have accepted the challenge with plone and willing to continue learning from this extraordinary platform. Pros Easy to use, simple and pleasant design, stable, reliable and, according to my experience, it is great to promote new communication strategies. Content management through this great CMS. Its attributes mean that there are no barriers between its implementation and the ideas that arise in the work teams. Plone is a CMS that is worth trying and after you fall in love, you will believe you get the most out of it to boost your website. At first some people from the team were a bit eceptic about the change, but then seeing everything that this incredible content management platform has to offer, they signed up to work on the project and now, even when they are not from technical areas, They are able to manage corporate portals and personal projects with Plone. Cons During the implementation of this new CMS, to manage the content of our portal, we could notice that although there is a lot of information about the platform, there is a lack of documentation. I think that could be a point against. The learning curve, in terms of management, can be a bit slow. However, if you have a qualified person who can give a good induction, this should not be a problem. Finally, when talking with co-workers, dedicated to more technical areas, it is considered that the implementation of this CMS in web pages has been slow, but sustained over time. Plone is based in Zope, that is a Framework based in Python and support the standart web technologies as HTML5, CSS3. Plone is very high escalable solution ideal for those companies who think implements a robust solution as a portal web. you can expand the functionality of Plone, by installing additional modules called "Products" and thay can convert Plone into KMS, E-Commerce site, a GIS Solution etc. Plone can manage a robust customized of roles and user permissions and workflows that can hekp you to manage and approve the content to publish.
