I've taken demo calls with dozens of vendors, and used 5 different apps to host various conferences. Sched stands out for their customer service, pricing, ease of use, and consistent iteration and evolution with valuable features. I've never experienced a service outage. And unlike some vendors, they don't incessantly spam you once they have your email address. Nor do they do sketchy behaviors like mining your attendee list to then spam them with direct marketing outreach to attendees they think host their own events. I've exclusively used Sched for almost four years now, and don't see myself looking to change anytime soon.

Pros

Sched is a fabulous product that provides premium level features that are competitive with top vendors while offering pricing entry points that are accessible to organizers on a tight budget. Their human customer service is quick to respond and helpful. I find their user guides intuitive, appreciate the customization we can do for sponsors (including push-notifications to attendees), the ability to allow presenters to edit their descriptions, and the new call-for-proposals feature to handle the submission and acceptance process in one place.

Cons

The product has grown so much over the years. I think the few things that 10 years ago made it more of an affordable Plan B when you couldn't afford Plan A have been addressed. They really listen to users on feature requests and suggestions, and provide fantastic support when I don't know how to do something.

They are genuinely interested in your event's success and not just selling you a tool to use for it.

Pros

The entire Sched team - from initial sales to tech support - is outstanding. And they really listen to feedback. On more than one occasion we've seen suggestions from our attendees incorporated into the platform.

Cons

They are always improving the platform, but occasionally their web tutorials don't include new info.

Sched does everything Whova does but without the constant stream of sales spam sent to attendees and overly complicated onboarding. Eventbrite is too simple for our needs and too rigid in its setup.

Pros

This software is user friendly and the email update feature for attendees is helpful.

Cons

I wish there were better opportunities to feature sponsors and organize Sponsors, Partners, Associate Member Exhibitors, etc.

We were so happy with it after our first year, that we signed up for the second year. It's significantly better than all the other providers of similar products we have checked out so far.

Pros

How intuitive it is for both admin and attendees; the color coding; the beautiful layout; the helpfulness of its staff.

Cons

My event runs several simultaneous sessions in rooms of various capacity. I'd love the ability to permanently associate a room to a certain capacity, but it is not available.

I have been using Sched for nine years, and they continue to improve. I would highly recommend it to any organization hosting events of any size.

Pros

Sched makes event organization and communication seamless. The user interface is intuitive, allowing attendees to easily browse sessions, build personalized schedules, and receive real-time updates. As an event organizer, I appreciate how easily we can manage speakers, session details, and last-minute changes in one place. The integration with email reminders and mobile access has also been a huge benefit, ensuring participants stay informed and engaged.

Cons

The reporting and analytics features could be a bit more robust, but the overall functionality and ease of use of the platform far outweigh this minor limitation.

We are using Sched for a couple of years now. The app looks fabulous and shows all the sessions, time schedules and additional information in a practical overview. Once you know how to edit the events, it's easy to use and keep track on speakers and attendees. They have a great helpdesk that's reacting very fast on questions.

Pros

The ease for participants to have an overview of all activities during a complex event The app looks fabulous Great helpdesk

Cons

Price is quite high The invitation process. There is one box you can use to make an invitation text. If different people need different texts, you have to change it in the that same specific box. It takes some time to find out how it works around inviting speakers resp. participants.

It is very streamlined and easy to use platform with lot of potential for enhancements. Single sign on and ticketing features can be improved

Pros

Ease of use for attendees to sign up for sessions. Bulk uploading sessions with an import template is very easy.

Cons

Admin doesn't have control to adjust feedback collection time frame. Filtering sessions is not very user friendly with only 2 levels type and subtype. Speakers who are attendees often have to be merged manually.

Overall, despite the issues we encountered we had a smooth experience utilizing Sched. I really hope that you all are able to resolve the issue with the buttons not working...

Pros

I loved the availability of the people. They were responsive and accessible whenever I had questions. Also, the ease of the the program. On the backend, the system was very easy to navigate. On the user-end, participants were able to utilize the system very easily.

Cons

We did have some issues with our main login buttons not being linked to the session. I was able to troubleshoot this issue (because I like to have a back up plan) by embedding the link to the session description. I was thinking, if technology fails (which unfortunately it did), our participants would still be able to access the sessions right away through the direct link.

Pros

Sched has a user-friendly platform that was easy to customize to fit the needs of our event. It allowed us better interactions with our attendees and more control over individual session management.

There are a few features we'd like to see added in the future to make event management smoother, particularly for badge printing and ticketing.

The customer support is great. Overall, it's user-friendly and the interface is easy enough to navigate.

Pros

The import and export capability is probably the best part of using Sched. Reports can easily be customized in excel.

Cons

Some of the operations are ambiguous... need to be careful when you want to duplicate an event - somehow the original lost all of its data!

### "Think of it as the streamlined Everbrite app for both attendees and organizers"

Don't think of this web service/mobile app as a replacement for Everbrite. Think of it as a complimentary app that can quickly turn volunteers into productive teams and for users to avoid the bloatware of Everbrite as an option. Very impressed and thoroughly satisfied with Sched.

Pros

I recently started using Sched when volunteering at an international business conference. In addition to Everbrite, we were trained on using Sched for checking in attendees and managing custom schedules for workshops, seminars, etc. Though it has less features than say Everbrite, Sched feels much faster and streamlined (especially on my older mobile devices). Fast loading and transitions. The minimalistic UX/UI makes learning how to use the app simple for even non-tech-savvy users. I really liked the website integration. It was very smooth to get people to register or sign up for events then have those events make up a custom schedule for attendees in the mobile Sched app. With thousands of attendees and dozens of workshops a day, we never ran into any technical issues. And I like their cute logo as well :)

Cons

I didn't have any issues with using the app but the only hiccup was explaining the name to others who have never heard or used it. I think for non-native English users, the single syllable abbreviated name was confusing.

Pros

User interface is clean, easy to understand, and reliable.

Cons

Sched doesn't support some features that would make it a comprehensive tool for our event planning—specifically, "hidden" events for things like sound checks, additional fields for things like tech needs, etc. This isn't really the fault of Sched; they're not necessarily intended for these sorts of uses.

I work with quite a few non-profits and Sched provides a quick and easy platform for hosting an online agenda that does not break the bank. Its extremely easy to use and the customer service department is ready and willing to quickly assist it if needed.

Pros

It's really easy to use and fits within my clients budget. Sched provides a quick platform for posting an online agenda that allows for survey feedback, sponsor exposure, and speaker highlights.

Cons

I really don't have any complaints about the software.

We needed to organize a virtual conference for advocates around BC on fairly short order. We found that Sched did all hat we wanted from a tool and was way cheaper than other options.

Pros

The set up and format of the agenda is great! I like having colors for different streams - it makes the agenda easy to use. Speakers and participants generally found it easy to use.

Cons

We are interested in looking at how to do follow up evaluations. We would like to be able to modify the basic sched questions to suit our needs. In webinars we were able to give participants a link for feedback. Will look into google options.

Reason for choosing Sched

Sched was easy to use and not expensive. We did not need more. Sched staff were very helpful. FYI - we never could agree how to say it. I know it's too late to change your spelling now but SKED would make it clearer. Maybe that's a Canadian thing.

Pros

This is the first year we used Sched for our district wide technology conference we have every year. We are so thankful we did. We have more data, are able to share session resources, are able to get session feedback, and have a great community of teachers through this software. We will be back for more, Sched!

Cons

One thing I would love to see is a few different levels of permissions within the software. We would like our speakers/presenters at our conference to be able to see their session attendees and have more information about them, even if a user has set themselves up as private.

### "Great way to manage your schedule for conferences"

Overall this app was so easy to use and allowed me to get the most out of the conference and all the activities being offered over the four days I was there. We are now highly considering using this App for our adult programs during the summer. I think using this App will allow our participants to have access to information about all the great lectures and events we offer during their time at our camp.

Pros

I recently attended a work conference in Boulder Colorado and they used the Sched app for managing the conference schedule. Sched is really user-friendly. I loved being able to check the app to see what my next session was and find the location of my workshop. The review feature allows you to review a session once it is over. This is great as it helps get really in the moment feedback. There are so many great features on this App for example having a directory of all the attendee helps you to find people that you meet or remember names of contact you made. Once of the best features is the information is live and can be changed if a correction needs to be made. There was a venue changes for the first evening event of the conference and the organizers were quickly able to make that change a few hours before the event.

Cons

I wish you could include a map of the venue on the App. It does give you the location, however, their is no map to reference within the App. Luckily our venue was small and being able to move from one workshop to another was not a problem.

Fantastic!

Pros

I've been a Sched user for nearly 10 years. It's easy to use for managers and attendees, is clean, and integrates well with either online or in person events.

Cons

Occasional glitches with things like syncing non-ticketing items in Eventbrite so those who didn't buy a ticket got access, but customer service is helpful.

Managing our many annual events is much easier and more available across digital and print platforms using sched.

Pros

Easy to organize and update. Simple for many of the contributing staff to use and access. Clean UI. Straightforward and easy to update with changes. Very responsive help.

Cons

No ability for direct p2p interaction. Harder to print attendee lists in a well-formatted way.

Pros

Love the easiness of selecting which sessions I wanted to attend. It then stored it and made it super easy for me to know exactly where to go.

Cons

I had trouble uploading an image. I tried several times and it would not let me. Other than that I really enjoyed using it.

Customer Service - quick responses and always willing to assist. User-friendly admin side and lots of options. Looks great! They are constantly improving and adding new features every year.

Cons

We use it for our educational technology conference to let attendees easily plan which sessions they want to attend. For our purposes, we have no "cons."
